They keep trying to push rewards and deals that I dont really care about, and it makes it harder to find my actual transaction history quickly. Also, I have noticed that once in a while it wont trigger the NFC reader on the first try, so I have to lock and unlock my phone to get it to wake up. It’s not a huge deal but can be a bit awkward when there is a long line behind you. Pros The thing I like most is definitely the speed of the tap to pay feature. Its so much faster than digging through my bag for a wallet and I never have to worry about if I forgot my cards at home. I also really like how it integrates with my gmail for tracking receipts and stuff. The security side of things gives me peace of mind too since it uses virtual numbers so the actual merchant never sees my real card info. I believe that we will soon see an update that allows Google pay and Apple Pay to work together which would mean sending money via text too whom ever you want. At first it was a little bit intimidating when I added my first card but now that I've got a hang of it, I don't carry any cards with me anywhere! Pros Google pay makes everything so much easier. You don't have to carry around debit cards or credit cards or cash. Almost everywhere takes google pay, the only place that doesn't take it that is annoying is Wal-mart. Hopefully they will start taking it soon! You can add a gift card or any type of debit or credit card to your Google pay which is nice.
