Pros I liked the fast image editing experience. I was happy to discover a lot of features which we were missing in the tools we were using with the team in the last years.Here are the features which made us switch to Pixelied from another software:-- "background removal" is integrated in the editor. In the past I was using paid Clipping magic tool, which can now be replaced and time saved by removing BG within an app with 1 click-- team feature (no need to share access via Lastpass anymore)-- possibility to LOCK the object in the editor. This is a huge time saver. Sometimes we had a big object overlayed on top of all others, and it was impossible to edit time-efficiently. Now I can LOCK the element in the front layer and it will never be affected -- no matter what I do in the editor-- possibility to add shadows to the elements Cons \-- I would like to see an easy way to rename existing designs within the gallery view. At the moment to rename the design one needs to first enter the design editor.-- We tried to create a one color rectangular element with rounded corners, but we had no success for now. In the meantime, their competitors offer a wider range of tools and features inside their products with unlimited or highly increased background removal credits at almost the same monthly cost. I wish the Pixelied team every success and I do hope they will reconsider their approach to marketing and future features which may become decisive for their product. Pros Pixelied is quite easy to use and some tools inside the software can be used intuitively. They offer a great selection of stock images from Unsplash and Pixabay integrations. The number of templates they provide for various use cases and sizes is really big and they keep adding more from time to time. The templates themselves are really good in terms of quality as one of the software founders claims they have professional designers creating them for Pixelied. In the Pro plan, you can invite up to three team members and create a few workspaces at no additional cost. Cons The first con is the limited number of background removal credits. In their Pro plan, they give you only 50 credits for a team of three per month, while most other competitors have no limits for background removals or their limits are considerably larger. Previously Pixelied used a third-party service for background removals, whereas now they have their own tool and the limits are still pretty low. Another con is that the software is still buggy and the bugs show up when you want them least. What is also quite worrisome is Pixelied's roadmap and its future. Looking at their roadmap, Pixelied doesn't seem to plan on adding short video editing or animation features or even an HTML banner maker in the future so it seems they want to remain a pure static graphics tool, which I view as a mistake in terms of their battle with competitors, who are evolving pretty quickly. Among the cons are slow development and slow introduction of new features, all of which makes this software less attractive. Pros I like that they have a dark mode option and some really pretty pre-made templates to work with. Initially, I used to find making changes in templates hard to do as the editing interface and options are not intuitive, but after a few months, I got a hang of it and am able to get work done faster. For reference, It took me about a half-hour to perfect just one Instagram post which would have taken me less than 15 minutes for sure on Canva which is more intuitive. Cons They put a limitation on the usage of background remover, I think they should remove this limitation and match the industry-standard offered by other similar tools. I upload about 200 images as assets to be used in pixelied but when I am in the editor section, it doesn't show me all my assets and only shows about the top 20 most recently uploaded assets. Fortunately, Pixelied showed me the light and in return, I showed my team The "Pixelied" Light. We are all happy and they are more productive now. Pros It is so simple to use. With its user-friendliness, I saved lots of 'teaching time' on my staff who can become productive almost instantaneously with Pixelied. Cons I hope its Background Remover tool can allow users to remove or keep a certain part of the background, especially on the minute details. It would be great if users can have a marker to indicate/draw the demarcation for remover. June 19, 2021 4.0 Pixelied is a great designing software with a lot of amazing templates to choose from, And they can be used for a variety of designs like, email header, Instagram post, Book Covers, Banner Ad, Blog, Pinterest, YouTube, Facebook, E-commerce, Quotes and more. I used Pixelied to design an email header for e-mail marketing. Pros A good graphic designing software should be responsive and Pixelied as been able to achieve that with it's loading speed. Pixelied as a great UX which makes it easy for anyone without an experience in garphics design to come up with a good design. Pixelied as a personal workspace that is integrated with a variety of templates and tools to choose from. Downloading your designs on Pixelied offers a lot of image format from JPG, PNG, PNG TRANSPARENT, SVG, WEBP, WEBP TRANSPARENT. Aside from the format type you can also choose your preferred quality type ranging from 0-100 and an Image size ranging from 1x- 5x. In a situation where your phone goes off while designing on Pixelied you can be rest assured your design is safe. It automatically saves your designs when a new element is added. Every designing software as it's own uniqueness and I believe Pixelied as been able to stand out. Cons Pixelied as some flaws that needs to be rectified to make it more flexible. Pixelied templates are built with a fixed width and height and that is a major problem if you are designing with a specific measurements in mind. Pixelied needs an app. Designing with Pixelied on your mobile device isn't convenient especially when several tabs are opened on it. Also I came across this problem (only http or https URLs can be downloaded) when I was trying to download an email header that I designed on Pixelied with my phone browsers. I had to use chrome browser to download the design. This should be looked into. We work in a team, so being able to share and collaborate easily on one platform at a very competitive price has been really cool. The branding features are also very valuable when working as a team. Pros What I like most about Pixelied is their focus on branding. You can take most of their templates and quickly "brandify" them with your brand colors, fonts and logo. This also applies to many illustrations they provide, which are of good quality. Cons Template selections can be limiting, but they are always adding new. There are a few bugs which I hope they keep fixing, namely when moving elements or undoing. What I like the least is that they only include free stock sites, which limit the originality if you wish to use a stock photograph, unless you upload your own of course. Pros I have always hated graphics programs. Always way too complicated to do simple things. This is just what I needed for doing memes on Twitter and Facebook as well as simple ads. I have been using it for about a week and am delighted. I was able to create usable designs in less than 10 minutes. When I needed support, I got a custom video showing me how. I have not even tried any of the high-end features like removing backgrounds or AI creation. It is worth the price to me even without those. Cons The only things I don't like, so far are:I can't easily copy and paste from other programs.I don't seem to have control over what format I save in. Some apps seem to prefer PNG files. My Grammarly spell check does not work, so a spell checker would be great. Direct connect/share to Twitter and Facebook would be great. Pros I am really enjoying using the Pixelied as an alternative to Canva to save money. It is fast to use. The templates are very good. It contains most of the featurss I would expect from an online design platform. There is a vast library of photos, shapes, illustrations and icons. Some great font presets and styles and heading layouts.I like the idea of the workspaces to keep things organised.The blend colours allow you to use your own colours and templates will update automatcially with the colours.Lots of export features as well.The new AI features could be useful, the cartoon AI is really fun to use. Creating content is quick, fun, and not time-consuming. Pros I am not the most tech-savvy or creative person, but Pixelied makes making great posts for Instagram or Facebook effortless. It has many features, from preset templates, fonts, AI images, stock images, mockups, and background removal. Cons It may be my images, but some images were imperfect for removing the backgrounds. There may be a lot going on in the image to make it less than perfect. Some of the background details remained while other background removal software removed the imperfections with no issues. For removing the images I was earlier using a free option, remove.bg, it works great but the quality of the image after removing the background was compromised. This isn't the case with the Pixelied. Cons Pixelied has a moderate amount of templates available for all social media platforms but given they are startup I will say that it has enough choices. I would want integration with other social media platforms so that posts etc could go live from within the software or apps that do that.
