Having Availability Online has been an immeasurable convenience for us! We have a small, family-run inn, and this software saves us so much time on the telephone. The customer support is A-1!!!

Pros

The most impactful feature for us has been the excellent customer support. Also, we appreciate how easy it is for our customers, and for us, to use this software.

From the first day I used the program I was so elated to realize that my guests would actually do 95% of my work when reserving their room. Availability not only notifies me that I have a reservation waiting via email but automatically populates the guest information fields for me. My guest can select their own room, know that their visit dates are available and contact me via email. I have gotten many of my reservations outside of normal office times and can pick them up the next day. I have also gotten phone reservations from my guests telling me the date and room they want because they already saw the information on Availability website. All in all, the program is easy to use, the consumer service help is always available and the the computer questions answered immediately. If you want some extra time and less hestle in your work day, this company is a MUST try.

Cons

Having to remember to update my room rates every January.

The \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] of availability actually came to my home, described the program, set up the program for me and gave my a three month trial. In actuality, I signed up after my first guest reservation a room that day. That was how excited I was to experience the ease of this product.

They have great customer service, and have resolved any issue for me within the day.

Pros

It is easy to use, easy to connect to your website and I like the text feature the minute you get a reservation.

Cons

I have not used but one other system and it was actually similar. We are a small Inn and this suits us just fine.

Reasons for choosing Availability Online

I can’t even remember the names of the ones I looked at. But I would say pricing and location (USA) were the biggest factors. I also did not want to be tied into Expedia or Travelocity for business - that is just not our model.

Guests are happy with seeing availability and booking online. I am also glad to now be able to get a text message when someone books so I can respond in a timely manner.

Pros

The software is very user friendly. It was easy to learn and is easy to use as I started with online bookings. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has helped me add/change items as I have become more proficient with online bookings. Her response time is great and it is nice to know I can reach her with questions quite easily. Recently I was able to sync my calendar when blocking off Availability Online, it also blocked my other Online Booking Programs. It was a big help not having to remember to open up the other sites every time. It would be nice to have the calendar sync both ways but I am happy now with at least one way. Guests also find it easy to use and are comfortable with giving credit card information on the secure site. I also was happy to know I could add items as extras though I have not had time to actually do. The price is also very reasonable. We are a seasonal business and I prefer not to lock into a monthly rate as with other platforms.

Cons

I would like to be able to enter a nightly rate and a weekly discount for a weekly rate as I am able in VRBO and Airbnb. It would be super nice to incorporate payment through the site with adjusted rates and taxes built in.

Pricing and ease of reaching someone for help and I did not want anything too complicated.

Great communication, ease of use, efficient!!

Pros

Bookings communicated in real time, and the automatically taking the rooms off of inventory at the time of booking is priceless for accurately reporting and to eliminate double bookings!

Cons

I wish there was a formatted official booking letter, or confirmation letter. But really, the pros way outweigh this "con"...

I appreciate the very personal approach of the staff at AOL. They are pleasant and eager to help. They have worked with me to solve each challenge (which are few) that I have had. I also appreciated that when there was a problem with the software, we were kept up to date. The voicemail mentioned it and gave a timeline...which was achieved. I also appreciate that I can call on the telephone and someone will answer. That is so valued in these times of no voice contact.

Pros

I like that I have had very few problems over 12 years. I also like that when I call, I get the real voice of a person who is knowledgeable about the software and is eager to assist.

Cons

I wish that folks booking could book more than one room at a time.

The main benefit is online guests can reserve preferred dates from our website.

Pros

I like the ease of updating my online calendar manually. I also like that other directories can easily upload my vacancies or occupancy.

Cons

To be honest the software includes many features I don’t use, and will probably never use. It has capabilities that exceed what I need, but I am happy they are available.

I've had no issues - like I said it's easy to use both for me and my customers. If I have a problem figuring out how to do something their Customer Service is always happy to help me. Their Customer Service is great.

Pros

I find it easy to use and when I'm stumped their Customer Service is always ready to help.

Cons

Nothing, and I cannot think of anything I'd like to seen added.
