We have a small, family-run inn, and this software saves us so much time on the telephone. The customer support is A-1!!! Pros The most impactful feature for us has been the excellent customer support. Also, we appreciate how easy it is for our customers, and for us, to use this software. Allows me to process reservations at times convenient for me. Love the software! Pros I was looking only for an online booking portal, nothing more. It's perfect, I love it. Cons There is nothing I like least about this software. I like it. If I could ask for one improvement, it would be a copy and paste mechanism to populate the Availability Calendar. From my reservation software, I can export my availability to a csv file. If I could simply copy and paste into the Availability Online - Availability Calendar, that would be dynamite. This would allow me to copy/paste subsets and custom views of my availability into the Availability Calendar. I feel the truly know me and my business I'm not just "a customer". Customer Support is phenomenal. Very quick responses Pros The software did most of the work. What little info i had to enter was so easy. Even if you are technology challenged you can easily maneuver thru. The support team is awesome and so quick to reply with the help or answers needed Cons I would like to look back over a 2 yr period to see Names of customers and all their info except credit card info. As of now, our customers can contact us at anytime to request a spreadsheet for past guest information. There is no charge for us the provide the spreadsheet. We've heard from a few other users requesting the option to download this information from their Administration Center portal, so they don't have to reach out to us. We will be looking into this. The price point is very fair and the customer service is exceptional. Julie is always available to help us and is a joy to work with. Our only suggestion for improvement is the billing process. It seems like each year it takes some time to process our payment. Otherwise, we're thrilled. Pros We love getting texts that inform us of reservations. We also like the portability of the software ... we can manage our property from anywhere using either our phone, an ipad or a laptop. This software is key to our business success Cons It takes a bit of time to learn where things are and what functionalities are available. I'm sure that we're not fully utilizing the capability of AO but overall its been good for our B&B. They have worked with me to solve each challenge (which are few) that I have had. I also appreciated that when there was a problem with the software, we were kept up to date. The voicemail mentioned it and gave a timeline...which was achieved. I also appreciate that I can call on the telephone and someone will answer. That is so valued in these times of no voice contact. Pros I like that I have had very few problems over 12 years. I also like that when I call, I get the real voice of a person who is knowledgeable about the software and is eager to assist. Cons I wish that folks booking could book more than one room at a time. Reason for choosing Availability Online I had a great recommendation from someone who had used the product for sometime. Other booking engines charge $40 a month or more to use their systems. Many of those nice to have options are over kill, cost more money and  are unnecessary niceties for small properties. Pros Unlike other booking engines with Availability Online you get all the guests information and process the guests information through your own credit card system. No third party seeing your guests booking details. Cons No problems. Availability Online is very responsive to technical questions. Reason for choosing Availability Online As a small bed-and-breakfast owner I appreciate the cost, simplicity, responsiveness and accuracy of Availability Online. Pros I really like how easy AO is to implement into our software, how easy it is for customers to use and for our customer service reps to process orders. Cons I wish there were more customizable features - every business is unique and sometimes there are pieces missing I would use. I also wish we could change the design. Pros It is easy to use, easy to connect to your website and I like the text feature the minute you get a reservation. Cons I have not used but one other system and it was actually similar. We are a small Inn and this suits us just fine. Reason for choosing Availability Online I can’t even remember the names of the ones I looked at. But I would say pricing and location (USA) were the biggest factors. I also did not want to be tied into Expedia or Travelocity for business - that is just not our model. I have tested other programs but find Availability Online is the must user friendly program for both staff and guests. I seldom have problems and when I do I get great customer service. For the size of my business I find this program to be the best for me. Cons I have no negative comments. As long as the program is regularly updated I am happy. The system is user friendly and not received any complaints about guests not being able to reserve rooms. Pros As an Innkeeper working with a small-sized inn (five rooms/baths) with help once or twice weekly. Availability Online simplicity makes it easy to check online reservations and track incoming and outgoing guests. Cons Not having the email address, on the Pending Reservation page. I would like to see a column with guests email address. There might be a way to capture guests email address, but not able to capture it. They are also easy to reach and personable when we have a question. Pros A very user friendly way to show availability to guests. I also love that guests can order Gift Certificates through Availability Online. Cons I wish that when I put in a change on a month I didn't have to go back to the original month to select the next month I need to do changes on. It all takes time! Pros When checking for new reservations it is easy to reply and they stay with the PC compliance. Secure and they let you know the protection of all the data. Cons On a busy day sometimes I forget to go to the calendar and check it off. It would be great if we were prompt. Also when I try to use the minimum stays it does not allow it to be consistant easy to put in. Pros Really like how easy it is to set up and use this software. Its also very easy to modify prices and train employees on how to use it. The cost is very reasonable and being a small B&B we appreciate the low yearly fee. Cons Two dislikes are - we have difficulty tracking cancelled reservations, and haven't been able to completely integrate software with TripAdvisor, or other booking services. Pros I like the ease of updating my online calendar manually. I also like that other directories can easily upload my vacancies or occupancy. Cons To be honest the software includes many features I don’t use, and will probably never use. It has capabilities that exceed what I need, but I am happy they are available. Pros What I like best is the value. It is easy to implement and understand from the business end. We occasionally have users from the customer end that are confused by it. I believe the issues with hacking have been addressed - we feel like it's secure for both business and customer. Cons I can't complain on this end. Pros AO is a staple for our company doing property management. It's easy to use and very impactful to our business. It's been so long using it that I haven't really thought about it for a while, which makes it kind of tough to say detailed feedback but it is an awesome system for us. It can be a bit confusing as I only update annually and tend to forget the process. The good news is that my support person is always more than willing to help or even do it for me.
