Some might say it's a necessary evil but at any rate, it's necessary. Get your message out to the largest and most customized audiences with Facebook. Everyone is on there, it's great for advertising, for spreading awareness, increasing your brand/members - you have to be on Facebook to succeed! Cons New algorithms that seem to change weekly - at first all customers would see your posts, now you have to pay to 'boost' your posts, and the algorithms change so much you really don't know who is seeing what at any point. Pros The only positive aspect of Facebook is their users, who they don't deserve and consistently abuse without justification of any kind. Cons Facebook is a lying manipulative hypocritical untrustworthy corporate entity that abuses and seeks to harm it's actual users while permitting blatantly fake accounts to post malicious and explicit content with no repercussions. Pros Very easy to use in terms of setting up audiences, ads, creative, retargeting, conversion tracking, etc across Facebook and Instagram. Cons The approval process can sometimes be frustrating to navigate. Our account was flagged several times as a job recruiter even though that had nothing to do with our business/ads, our creative was also flagged a couple times. The appeals were approved and our ads were back up but we did lose some key days that did make a difference in our conversion volume. I've been an avid user for the past 10+ years, and I must say that Facebook has provided me a multitude of entertainment, social networking, and even professional networking at some point. It's relatively easy to use, and it has various functions with joining groups and getting to know events around your area. Cons Privacy, of course. This has been spoken about on the news already. I'm not sure if Facebook is dedicated to my privacy, but I have a "use with caution" mindset. There are also some features that are disabled from time to time, so that gets a bit annoying. Business pages/groups are easy enough to make and update, but it is definitely a struggle to use the "Pages Manager" app. And god forbid you need actual customer service help and not just one of their "help guides." It's easy to create groups or to have access to a variety of pages about your interests, and to stay connected with everything is happening in the world. I think it's a software of easy use and really intuitive for new users. With the Facebook Watch, you can watch live streaming of things like soccer games, what i think it's really wonderful. Cons I think Facebook could improve actions against hate comments in the social network, because in comparision with another softwares like Twitter, i think in Facebook people with bad intentions have more freedom to stay making hate comments and actions. Other problem of Facebook, and an old problem, is about the privacy of the software's users. It is nice to have a central spot to keep old conversations and pictures and also a private channel to have individual and group chats. Cons The algorithms that provide advertisements that keep the software free can be quite targeted based upon things I have googled, which sometimes makes me feel uncomfortable.
