Google Ads solves the problem of reaching broad but irrelevant online audiences by letting teams target search intent, location, demographics, and interests across search, display, video, and shopping campaigns. Answer based on 160 reviews

Getting Started and Support

### How easy is it to onboard and train a team on Google Ads?

Google Ads offers video training for teams, but onboarding requires time because the interface, bidding, conversion tracking, and campaign settings can overwhelm beginners. Reviewers report that experienced marketers and users with basic campaigns learn quickly, while nontechnical business owners, administrators, and teams managing advanced optimization need courses, practice, or specialist guidance.

Answer based on 135 reviews

Getting Started and Support

### What customer support options does Google Ads offer, and how do users rate the experience?

Google Ads offers email/help desk, FAQ/forum, knowledge base, and phone support. Users often describe helpful guidance, tutorials, and responsive assistance, but experiences vary widely. Common frustrations include slow replies, difficulty reaching knowledgeable representatives, repeated handoffs, and limited help resolving account, billing, or ad-approval issues.

Answer based on 176 reviews

Security

### How does Google Ads handle data security and access control?

Google Ads uses security checks that can suspend campaigns during verification and provides account permission controls. Reviewers describe adding funds by debit card as safe, while some report that granting account permissions is complex and confusing. Account confirmation passwords can also be difficult to obtain, and privacy-policy acceptance may deter some website visitors.

Answer based on 13 reviews

Ad performance

### How well does Google Ads improve ad performance?

Google Ads helps marketing teams reach targeted audiences, track conversions, and adjust campaigns using detailed performance data. Search, display, video, and local campaigns can generate traffic and leads quickly, but results depend on keyword choices, budgets, competition, and ongoing optimization. Some users also find automated campaign placement and ad approvals difficult to control.

It has been positive largely, I've seen some positive results. It does require consideration in to how exactly you'll use it beforehand (and to what desired effect) so you can maximise the time you spend on it!

Pros

The positives are it's fast to set up, intuitive in how you can target people (locations, times, words etc), easy to set and alter budgets and report analytics/data analysis and effectiveness (which will be important if you're using it in a marketing context)

Cons

It can take more time to master and tweak effectively but the more you put in, the more you get out of it really. But bear in mid you'll need someone on it quite often (if you're a small company it warrants consideration). It also gets really expensive, really fast- particularly if you're competing with bigger players they will outbid you in a straight race.

I have had very very mixed results with GA. For some campaigns it can really produce calls/leads, and other times it is useless and shows ads to the wrong people and does not produce leads at all.

Pros

Google ads has the ability to get your ads in front of a lot of people in a pretty quick time frame. You have the ability to run different types of campaigns and ads, and you can really narrow down the geo-targeted area of where (and when) your ads run.

Cons

Google ads changes constantly and the GUI can be frustrating. The new 'AI' campaigns can be hit-or-miss a lot of the time, showing irrelevant ads and to the wrong people. You also have to manage your cost/spend closely or it can go over easily.

Google Ads has felt like a rollercoaster for me, first it was confusing, then as I learned it got better, but then there were some changes on the policy and felt like going back to step one, but now with their support it's gotten much better.

Pros

Google ads has helped me increase my clients, I like it that in the last few months I've had agents call me to help me set up my ads, and provide clarity and understanding of the reports and data it brings to the table.

Cons

It is very confusing at the beginning, and it can feel overwhelming with all different policies and restrictions. But once you learn more about them it gets easier.

I have used Google Ads for some time to promote ads on Google to drive more website traffic. For this, they have been beneficial and have definitely driven more traffic when used.

Pros

Google Ads is a great way to ensure that you are promoting your website to more people and that it is targeted to the right people. There is a lot that you can customise with Google Ads to ensure that your ads are effective and get the right conversion rates.

Cons

As there is a lot that can be done with Google Ads, this can also make it confusing to ensure that you are doing what is best for your ads to hit the right people. More could be done to make the interface easier and simpler for the average user to achieve their aims.

My overall experience with the Google ads was a positive one. For small business owners seeking to advertise on a budget, it's a plus.

Pros

The ability to advertise and customize ads all from the app is is amazing. Bejng able to monitor and control your spending budget in real time.

Cons

What i liked least about Google ads was the inability to utilize the Google ad credits do to having a free wix website vs paid website.

Google Ads is a powerful growth tool for a music and vocal coaching business because it drives high-intent traffic from people actively searching for lessons or training. When optimized properly, it can generate consistent leads and help scale student acquisition in a measurable way. The targeting and analytics are strong, which makes it useful for refining messaging and understanding what converts. However, it requires careful management to avoid high costs and inefficient spending, especially in competitive search terms. It also demands ongoing testing and optimization to maintain performance. Overall, it’s effective but best suited for a structured, actively managed marketing strategy rather than a passive channel.

Pros

Google Ads is highly effective for a music and vocal coaching business because it allows precise targeting of people actively searching for singing lessons or related services. It provides strong intent-based traffic, which makes it easier to attract potential students who are already interested. The platform also offers detailed tracking and performance data, which helps optimize campaigns and understand what messaging drives conversions.

Cons

Google Ads can become expensive quickly, especially in competitive niches like music education, where cost-per-click can rise without strong optimization. It also has a steep learning curve, requiring constant testing and adjustment to avoid wasted spend. For a small or growing music business, it can feel complex and time-consuming to manage effectively without experience.

Overall, I've had a positive experience with Google Ads. They make it easy to analyze and process the data from my ads.

Pros

Google Ads is easy to set up and provides great analytics and reporting. We're able to easily see which ads are performing and make critical business decisions based on the data we receive from Google.

Cons

Sometimes the platform can be clunky. Google has made some big improvements to the UI over the last couple of years, and it is getting better. Sometimes I feel that if you have an issue, it can be difficult to find someone to get ahold of on the Google side to assist.

Overall the experience is great for business. It has been essier to drive sales in targeted areas at the right time. But the cost would be why I stop using them.

Pros

The best thing about Google Ads is their precision marketing which helps drive traffic and conversions. Additionally, if you are searching for visibility this is the way to go.

Cons

The rising costs that have continued, while accessibility to other tools on Google is included, they are tools we already had so I would rather do without and payless. Also, it is not something for people who are well versed with the ecommerce scene.
