### "Essential for scheduling focus time, but lacks native data export options"

June 22, 2026

5.0

I have been very happy with my experience so far. It's almost a part of my daily life. It has the perfect mix of administrative (meeting, presentations) and deep focus (data cleaning, dashboard building) work required in my job. It is dependable and updates automaticall

Pros

As a data analyst, I love to be able to colour code and definitely block out ‘focus time’. When I'm writing more complex SQL and/or building models, I require uninterrupted time. Google Calendar has made protecting that time easy, and it easily creates ad-hoc data reviews with stakeholders.

Cons

I don't particularly like the UI when attempting to place multiple team schedules over top of each other in an attempt to determine a common time to meet. Also, from an analytical point of view, I would like an easy, natively supported method of exporting my schedule data in a CSV to analyze where my project time is being spent on a week to week basis.

### "Google Calendar is the only way I'll schedule my life!"

June 29, 2026

5.0

I tried several other calendars that were by default installed on my phones, before I chose to make the switch to Google Calendars. I set it up with my family so we could see each other's schedules and plan accordingly, and I loved how easy this was as it just used our Gmail accounts.

Pros

It can integrate with any other software, so that events can be set up seamlessly - and while it may have some limitations, for example, on a Mac, there are very easy workarounds so it's accessible wherever you need it to be.

Cons

I wish it had more customisable interfaces for seeing events and days of the week. However, the simplicity of Google Calendar is what makes it such a fantastic product to use.

Pros

Google Calendar is a useful tool for reminding me of important days and helping me schedule and organize my time effectively.

Cons

However, I always need an internet connection to access my schedule, and sometimes it may not feel very safe to store all my personal schedule online.

### "From Paper to Google Calendar "

May 13, 2026

5.0

I love Google Calendar. I’m typically a paper calendar person but this app has made the transition from paper people seamless and easy.

Pros

I like that you are able to set a meeting from your email, booking site or the mobile app. It’s easy to integrate video softwares into your appointments as well. You are able to tag people and add notes/descriptions about the meeting. The time zone feature is another favorite of mine.

Cons

When added to the iOS calendar you aren’t able to add the video integration in as well as if you were using the app. In order to set a meeting using your phone with say like Google meet - you have to go to that specific app.

### "Easy to follow schedule."

July 28, 2026

A s the service comes free, I have no issues with it. But the UI customization can be added to user side.

Pros

It has been the smooth software I have used to keep track of my schedule. I can sync all my different account meetings into a single calendar. The good thing, I can set my own ringtone for notification, there is color option to sort and view too.

Cons

Sometimes, I have missed notification even after I have set the time correctly. Also. the UI seems a bit complex. I was having hard time to see all the dates in a month.

Overall Google Calendar does what I need it to do on a daily basis and is easy to access on all my devices and keeps all my devices synced.

Pros

I find Google Calendar very easy to use and it works on all my devices. The Calendar itself is free so the value for money is great! It has a very clean interface which makes it very easy to use.

Cons

I have had the odd sync issue with Google Calendars which can be frustrating. Customer support wasn't a great help either.

### "The Operational Backbone of Our Employee Development Programs"

July 8, 2026

5.0

My overall experience has been highly productive, as it forms the absolute backbone of our company's feedback culture. Google Calendar allows me to structure complex, company-wide performance review cycles smoothly and without scheduling conflicts. By setting up shared departmental calendars, I can easily verify that managers are consistently blocking out dedicated time for employee coaching and development. It acts as a highly reliable framework that keeps our continuous feedback loop running on time, ensuring that critical performance milestones, goal-setting sessions, and annual appraisals are never delayed or forgotten.

Pros

As a Performance Management Specialist, I am constantly communicating. I love Google Calendar's ability to easily manage recurring 1-on-1s, probation check-ins and quarterly reviews. The “Appointment Schedule” is awesome and enables staff to schedule time in advance with me for a career development conversation or a confidential feedback meeting. I also heavily rely on the seamless integration with Google Workspace, so that sensitive performance evaluation forms, goal tracking sheets are securely attached directly to the calendar invite for the manager and employee.

Cons

The biggest problem is that they don't have robust analytics capabilities for meetings. Without third-party integrations, it can be challenging to see how much time managers are spending on coaching versus their standard operational syncs, and how "meeting fatigue" is affecting an employee.

### "The Best Calendar App for Keeping My Family Organized"

July 24, 2026

5.0

As a busy parent, Google Calendar has become one of the most important apps I use every day. Between school events, doctor appointments, sports, family activities, and work commitments, it helps keep our entire family's schedule organized in one place. I love how easy it is to create events, set reminders, and color-code different calendars so I can quickly see what's coming up. Sharing calendars with family members has made coordinating schedules much easier, and the automatic reminders help ensure we don't forget important appointments or events. One of my favorite features is that everything syncs across all of my devices, so whether I'm on my phone or computer, I always have access to our most up-to-date schedule. It also integrates seamlessly with Gmail, automatically adding many appointments and invitations, which saves me time. Overall, Google Calendar is simple, reliable, and incredibly helpful for managing a busy family. I honestly don't know how I'd keep everything organized without it.

Pros

Easy to create and edit events Color-coded calendars for better organization Share calendars with family members Automatic reminders and notifications Syncs across all devices Integrates with Gmail and Google Workspace Recurring events are easy to set up Multiple calendar views (day, week, month, agenda) Add locations, notes, attachments, and guests Simple to manage school, work, and personal schedules together Free to use Reliable syncing and cloud backup

Cons

Notification settings can be overwhelming at first Shared calendars can become cluttered with many users Some advanced scheduling features have a learning curve Color customization is somewhat limited Searching older events can occasionally be frustrating Limited built-in task management compared to dedicated planning apps Offline functionality is more limited than when connected It can get busy-looking if you manage multiple calendars

### "A perfect time-management and scheduling web and mobile application"

July 23, 2026

5.0

My overall impression of Google Calendar is positive, as it is a useful solution for organising meetings and managing time. I believe that this tool can be used extensively in different industries to plan the work of teams and manage the corporate workload. Thus, the product is suitable for small, medium, and large businesses.

Pros

I had a chance to use Google Calendar in my current position as a Marketing Executive Intern for Hackett & Hackett International Group Limited. I liked a number of features of this tool, including its ability to integrate with other products. Specifically, Google Meet and Google Drive can be used jointly with the Calendar. Additionally, I found out about a few other benefits. First, the software offers shared calendars, which lets you work with the same resource and manage the workloads of your colleagues. Second, there is also a cool function for the creation of a link to schedule a call that can be sent to other users.

Cons

Moreover, I also learnt that there are some significant limitations. First of all, the application has rather limited Project Management features, including the lack of extensive tools needed to plan and organise projects, despite the Google Tasks plug-in. Second, offline productivity is limited, as the calendar has to be opened in the browser, and there is no option to view and edit it on the desktop without being online. I did not like the software’s limited visual customisation. Google Calendar’s interface is rather bland and does not let you change much in terms of event typography. In addition, it is not possible to add logos to invitations. The last limitation is related to shared calendars and the inability to overlay multiple calendars, which makes it confusing to navigate and track events.

### "A Lifesaver for Managing My Busy Schedule"

June 26, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Google Calendar has been excellent. It keeps my professional and personal life organized, sends timely reminders, and helps me manage a busy schedule without missing important events. For me, it is much more than just a calendar—it has helped me stay on top of my responsibilities and has even played a small role in one of the biggest milestones in my career.

Pros

As a physiotherapist, my work schedule changes every day depending on patient bookings. Along with work, I also have to manage my personal life, gym, appointments, birthdays, and family events. Google Calendar has become one of the apps I rely on the most. I have linked my Gmail with Google Calendar, so many appointments and events are automatically added to my calendar. I also receive reminders before important events, which helps me stay organized and avoid forgetting things. One incident I will always remember is when Google Calendar literally saved an important opportunity for me. I was at the gym before work when I got a reminder that I had a job interview scheduled in 30 minutes. It was an online interview, and luckily my gym was close to home. I rushed back, joined the interview on time, and eventually got selected for the hospital position. I had been trying to get a hospital job for a long time, and if Google Calendar hadn't reminded me, I could have completely missed that opportunity. I also use it to remember birthdays, anniversaries, doctor's appointments, and personal tasks. It really helps me maintain a better work-life balance because I don't have to rely only on my memory.

Cons

Personally, I haven't experienced any major drawbacks. The app has worked reliably for me, and I haven't had any significant issues while using it.

### "BEST APP FOR STAYING ORGANIZED!"

April 23, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Google Calendar has been very positive. It’s a reliable and user-friendly tool that makes it easy to stay organized, manage schedules, and keep track of important events. The seamless syncing across devices and integration with other tools helps streamline both personal and work planning. While there are a few minor drawbacks, like occasional clutter with multiple calendars, it consistently delivers as a dependable and efficient scheduling solution.

Pros

What I liked most about Google Calendar is how simple and intuitive it is to use while still being powerful. It makes scheduling effortless with features like easy event creation, reminders, and color-coded organization so I can keep track of everything at a glance. The ability to sync across all devices and share calendars with others also makes coordinating schedules with teams or family really convenient.

Cons

One thing I liked least about Google Calendar is that it can feel a bit cluttered when you’re managing multiple calendars at once. Notifications and reminders can also become overwhelming if they’re not carefully managed, and customizing certain views or settings isn’t always as flexible or intuitive as it could be.

Alternatives considered

[Fantastical](https://www.capterra.com/p/210207/Fantastical/)

Reason for choosing Google Calendar

I chose Google Calendar over alternatives like Microsoft Outlook Calendar and Apple Calendar mainly because it was more flexible and easier to use across different devices and platforms.

I made the switch to Google Calendar because it offered better syncing across devices and a more seamless experience overall. It’s much easier to access from anywhere, and the sharing and collaboration features are more straightforward compared to tools like Microsoft Outlook Calendar or Apple Calendar. It just simplified scheduling and made staying organized a lot more efficient.

### "Efficient and Reliable Scheduling Tool for Daily Productivity"

May 8, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Google Calendar has been very positive because it has helped me stay organized, improve productivity, and manage both personal and professional schedules efficiently. The platform is easy to use, and the interface is clean and simple, making it convenient to create events, set reminders, and track daily activities without confusion. I especially like how smoothly it synchronizes across mobile devices, tablets, and desktops, allowing me to access my schedule anytime and anywhere. One of the most useful aspects is the seamless integration with other Google services like Gmail and Google Meet. Meeting invitations, automatic event creation from emails, and direct video meeting links save a lot of time and make communication easier. The reminder and notification system is also very reliable because it helps me stay on top of deadlines, appointments, and important events. Features like recurring events, shared calendars, and color-coded scheduling are extremely useful for organizing work, study, and personal tasks separately.

Pros

Google Calendar because it makes scheduling meetings, managing daily tasks, and organising personal as well as professional events very simple. The platform works smoothly across mobile and desktop devices, which helps me stay updated wherever I am. One of the best features is the real-time synchronisation that instantly updates events across all connected devices without any delay. I also appreciate the smart reminders and notifications because they help me avoid missing important meetings, deadlines, and appointments. I like most is the seamless integration with other Google services such as Gmail and Google Meet, which makes joining meetings and managing invitations extremely convenient. Creating recurring events, sharing calendars with team members, and checking availability for meetings saves a lot of time and improves productivity. The colour-coding feature also helps in organising work, study, and personal schedules efficiently. Overall, Google Calendar provides excellent time management, collaboration, scheduling, reminders, synchronisation, productivity, and integration features that make daily planning much easier and more efficient.

Cons

Google Calendar is that some advanced features for business scheduling and team coordination can feel limited compared to other premium calendar management tools. In terms of Value for Money, the free version is very useful, but certain advanced collaboration and administrative controls are only available through paid Google Workspace plans, which may not be ideal for small users or individuals looking for more professional features at a lower cost. Another area that could be improved is customer support. Since many users rely on community forums and help articles, getting direct and fast assistance for technical issues can sometimes be difficult, especially for free users. Response times for troubleshooting may not always be immediate, which can be frustrating when managing important schedules or meetings. I have also noticed occasional Bugs and Issues such as delayed notifications, synchronization problems between devices, or events not updating properly in real time. While these issues are not very frequent, they can still create confusion and affect productivity when handling important appointments or work meetings.

### "A Staff Member in Itself"

May 18, 2026

5.0

Excellent. The set up was easy and without a hitch. Loading any tasks and appointments is easy. It has rendered my ordinary work day/week/month into a structured project. Expectations are met and deadlines are achieved. Emails are managed and any appointments are met or rescheduled without a hitch. Any customer support required is given at a touch of a button.

Pros

Google Calendar is an incredible tool and a must have. It integrates seamlessly with so many other products. It is simply the most versatile and proactive product around. The reminders and agility with which you can manage your work ahead of schedule makes it something a professional cannot properly manage their work week without.

Cons

I have not found any cons with Google Calendar. It is almost like a fee earning assistant on its own. It certainly is the most valuable tool in my cache and I have not had a day down. All bugs and fixes are almost done without the users awareness.

### "Using Google Calendar: An Overview"

March 30, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Google Calendar has been very positive. It’s a reliable, easy‑to‑use scheduling tool that helps keep personal and professional commitments organized in one place. Creating events, setting reminders, and managing recurring meetings is quick and intuitive, and real‑time syncing across devices ensures everything stays up to date. I particularly value its integration with Google Workspace, especially Gmail and Google Meet, which makes scheduling meetings and joining them effortless. The ability to share calendars and view others’ availability is especially useful for coordinating with teams. While it may lack some advanced planning or task‑management features, Google Calendar excels at straightforward, efficient scheduling and works very well for everyday use.

Pros

What I liked most about Google Calendar is its simplicity and seamless integration with other Google services. It makes scheduling and managing appointments very straightforward, whether for personal use or work. Creating events is quick, and features like reminders, notifications, and recurring events help keep everything organized without much effort. I also really appreciated its sharing and collaboration features. Being able to share calendars, see teammates’ availability, and schedule meetings easily (especially with Gmail and Google Meet integration) makes coordination efficient. The ability to access it across devices and have changes update in real time adds to its convenience and reliability.

Cons

What I liked least about Google Calendar is that it can feel limited for complex scheduling and advanced planning needs. While it works very well for everyday appointments and meetings, features like task management, detailed time blocking, or advanced recurring rules are relatively basic compared to more specialized productivity or project‑management tools. I also found that handling multiple calendars at once can become cluttered, especially when several shared calendars overlap. Color‑coding helps, but in busy schedules it can still be visually overwhelming. Additionally, some settings and features—such as notification controls or calendar‑specific permissions—can be hard to find or unintuitive, particularly for new users. Overall, Google Calendar is excellent for straightforward scheduling, but it can feel restrictive or less flexible for users who need more advanced planning or customization options.

### "One Calendar app to rule them all."

March 11, 2026

5.0

I'm a big fan of this app. I've used it for several years now and upgraded my phone and tablet a couple of times. I really like how seamlessly it pulls in the data once I put in my Google ID.

Pros

As a proud member of Gen X I've used all kinds of calendar "apps" in my life, starting with real calendars hanging from the kitchen door, then upgrading to pocket-sized calendars shoved into my back pocket. When my boss plopped the first 286-Intel computer on my desk back in the mid-90s and told me to 'figure it out' I played around with the first few generations of calendars that were included in the Microsoft products but always gave up in frustration since they were stuck in the computer and I still had to carry around a hard copy of my schedule when I left work. But finally, Google heard my cries in the wilderness and gave me Google calendar. Now i can't imagine living without it. It seamlessly links all my important dates, meetings, and events in my personal and professional life and I have them at my fingertips at the office, on my phone and on my tablet. And yes, I could do something similar using MS Outlook but having tried both I find that Google's Calendar is easier to use and is far more intuitive. Five stars from me.

Cons

The only drawback I ran into was on the initial setup the calendar doubled up displaying all the holidays. It took me a few minutes to figure out what setting I needed to adjust to make this holidays display correctly, but other than that it's been seamless.

Wonderful! Google Calendar has so much to offer! Knowing how much there is to learn can sound overwhelming but it's not, it's quite simple, and very easy to learn your way around the platform.

Pros

Google Calendar is wonderful at organizing my entire schedule and letting me see exactly when my schedule looks like in one click of the mouse. It shows me when my next meeting will be, the topic that will be discussed, and everyone that will be attending. It's like having a personal assistant!

Cons

### "One platform that brings work, personal, and family calendars together"

February 2, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Google Calendar has been very positive. I use it for family, personal, and work scheduling, and I really like being able to combine multiple calendars in one platform while using different colors for each. It helps me stay organized, avoid conflicts, and manage everything efficiently in one place.

Pros

What I like most about Google Calendar is its simplicity and reliability. It’s intuitive, easy to use, and integrates seamlessly with email, mobile devices, and other productivity tools.

Cons

Some advanced features lack customization, and managing multiple calendars can feel a bit cluttered at times.

### "Seamless, easy and great looking calendar"

April 29, 2026

5.0

It's a near perfect calendar. We use it daily in our team to get organised and arrange internal and external meetings. It will also show meetings from clients who do not use google calendar, adding for example Microsoft Teams meetings to your own calendar. Considering we use the Google ecosystem, it fits like a glove.

Pros

It's a smooth, aesthetic, and functional calendar which seamlessly integrates into our team's workflow. Easy to view other team member's availbility for meetings, and arrange and move around meetings seamlessly. It's included with our Google workspace account, so the cost is low.

Cons

Perhaps there could be some more customisation options for colours and backgrounds. AI insights could be improved, e.g. automatically suggesting meetings.

### "Generally good scheduling software, although it has some minor features that need improvement."

June 20, 2026

4.0

It is a good tool and the core of our scheduling. It makes managing appointments easier, is compatible with Gmail, and meets our team's collaboration needs. In some ways it isn't ideal, there are some issues and some lack of customization options, but it is definitely a valuable asset for our workflow. Being in the leisure and tourism industry we've found it to be reliable considering how easy to use and how it integrates with Google Workspace it is.

Pros

Google Calendar keeps us balanced when we have a busy calendar of team meetings, client appointments and operational check-ins. Shared calendars have made event construction much easier throughout departments. Priorities at a glance on color-coded events. Gmail integrations also do great as well since my calendar gets added to automatically with all booking confirmation and invite emails to meetings, etc.

Cons

I think the biggest problem we have had so far is the sometimes unresponsiveness for shared calendars updating, which can lead to small misunderstandings if updates are not instant. A disadvantage is that higher level appointment slot customizations are not supported. The foundation building blocks are okay, but do not always support the kind of scheduling we want in our dynamic environment.
