Also, using LinkedIn's premium services I was able to launch my business and grow it. So, always thankful to them. Pros #1 platform for B2B (even if you don't like it) Cons 1\. Search not always pulls up correct prospects. Out of say 1,000 list, say around 300 could be not what you're looking for. 2. LinkedIn promotes networking, but recommends to connect with people you already know. This does not fit into the logic of a normal person. This is frustrating. It is imperative for us to target that audience and media buyers that would like to work with people of color Pros What is impactful for me is the ease of being able to customize my our brand details onto LinkedIn. I am able to choose who can view it, and also choose what audience and demographic I would like to target. Cons What I like the least is the use of hashtags doesn't seem to be very helpful. I have received response from almost 70% of the recruiters I contacted through LinkedIn and thus I realized that LinkedIn is the most widely used professional networking platform for job seekers and recruiters. I am still looking for new opportunities with the help of LinkedIn. The paid plan is affordable for even the middle class people. Cons There is a limit at which one can search for people. It blocks further viewing of contents when we reach a certain point with the free plan. I use it to keep ahead of the curve relating to industry developments as well as keeping int ouch with clients and peers. As well, LinkedIn jobs and the recruiters on the platform have made job searches a breeze, and with the number of leads sent to me from recruiters I am fairly confident if I am in the market, I won't have to "search" for a job again. I am literally turning down interview requests on a weekly basis. Cons They could do away with the automated message templates that seem to pop up whenever somebody has work anniversary.
