Magento Developer Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Massive well done" December 17, 2020 5.0 Sorted out the shipping needs of some really big UK clients, and not only that. Any bug report or feature that has been requested by me ( us , MTC. ) which we know might benefit our client(s) and not only, the development team at calcurates has taken that into consideration and implemented those features in a really short amount of time. Pros Ease of use, the fact that i do not have to spend time in creating a million rows long CSV with shipping methods and the fact that the developers of the module are really involved in helping not only me as a person who recommended certain clients, but taking time to present the product to the clients based on their needs and even more than that to start implementing their needs on demo accounts as a showcase on how easy it is to fulfil the needs of website owners. December 9, 2024 5.0 Really incredible team that is willing to help solve any issues I've had. The tool has allowed me to do things on my own that would typically cost a lot of time and money with my developers, and since I have access to all the settings, I can change or deactivate them at will. Pros Powerful features and excellent support. Cons As with any powerful tool, there's a bit of a learning curve. The UI for setting up various features could be better designed to help find information easier. Director Retail Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Shipping solution with great features and good support, but some missing features for Woocommerce " January 18, 2022 4.0 I'm so far very happy with the features and support provided. Any minor bugs I reported were fixed extremely quickly. The only downside is the pricing which is relatively high for "just a shipping rate calculator". When all features will be available for Woocommerce this may change this price/value ratio. Pros Extremely good and personal support, great table rate features (very flexible to configure), good integration in Woocommerce. Cons There are quite a few features not implemented for Woocommerce yet (but they are available for Magento), e.g. landed cost calculation, label printing, etc. This leads to the pricing being quite expensive compared to the competition. Future features (not implemented yet for Woocommerce) should include landed cost and label printing which would give me a complete shipping solution for my ecommerce business (at the moment I'm using Shipstation for customs declarations label printing) Switched from [Starshipit](https://www.capterra.com/p/138963/StarShipIt/) Starshipit's table rate system was not very intuitive to use and missed features. But the biggest issue was the faulty implementation of the EU IOSS system which they didn't manage to fix. I can't say yet if Calcurates will be able to implement this any better, but their support is much more reactive and listens to customer requests. Solved my issues finding reliable shipping rates for multiple warehouse locations. Pros Very flexible with shipping options and configurations. Allows for easy calculations for multiple carriers and even from multiple shipping locations. Cons Would be nice to have some sort of daily automatic test and/or verification for shipping rates. Right now I just have to do a manual test every day or two. I love how robust it is if you need to get down to the smallest details like box dimensions and weights for calculating shipping costs for 1000's of products. Pros Calcurates gives us the most amount of control in our shipping costs!We are able to calculate shipping costs from over 25 warehouses precisely using calcurates. once your setup is complete it is easy to manipulate costs for shipping in a number of ways based upon your vendor fees or or actual shipping and handling costs. I highly recommend! Pros We looked at several options, but Calcurates is easily the best solution if you are offering international shipping and want to charge duties and taxes at checkout. They also allow us to offer different shipping carriers based on product origin, which has saved our customers money and helped our conversion rate. Cons Learning all of the settings and features was not easy, but customer support was very helpful in getting us up and running. If you do international shipping, definitely check it out. Even if you don't, this service adds a lot of flexibility to your shipping rate rules. Pros Calcurates allows me to generate shipping rates in ways that Magento alone does not, and is more flexible than many of the other options. The ability to calculate customs charges and pass those along to purchasers has pretty much paid for Calcurates by itself. Nik was great to work with and answered all my questions. Pros I like that its the most comprehensive and customizable shipping extension that I've came across for Magento 2 so far. Its nice to be able to make changes within their system while not having to keep deploying new code to our site. Cons Initial setup and complexity but this was eventually not an issue after having multiple meetings with Nik to go over configurations. Since then, we have realized savings and efficiencies by taking advantage of their smart packaging and we've given our customers more options in the process. Pros What stood out above all else to me was the level of support. I can schedule a call where we share screens and talk through some pretty complex configurations... more often than not, we would have the configuration done during the call. This typically took 15 minutes or less. Cons Honestly, every struggle we had was either with FedEx's limitations, or with an attribute that was configured incorrectly on the Magento side. In both of those situations, it was Nik at Calcurates who helped me figure it out and come up with the most efficient strategy to correct the issue. Pros This software didn't initially have everything our client needed, but after communicating with them we were able to get the feature that we needed added. They were quick with making the changes and great with communication! Cons The dashboard user interface might be a little easier to use for new/inexperienced users if it was redesigned. My biggest issue was with getting APIs for Google Maps integrated and working properly, but that's more than likely because I'm inexperienced with them (the Calcurates team did help me with it). Pros I love all the customized rules that we can create with the software. The rules based system allows us to offer a wide variety of shipping options for our customers. Thus, increasing customer delivery time and satisfaction. Cons At this time, less options for international shipping of UPS and FedEx but I am told this will come with future releases.
