We wish we had better things to say. We’re a residential, service-based electrical company with a high daily volume of smaller jobs. This software isn’t well suited for that type of workflow — it’s clearly designed for larger, commercial projects where technicians don’t need daily access. The user experience has been challenging. Our team has found it difficult and time-consuming to use, and it’s had a significant impact on our AR process because invoicing requires a lot of extra work on the office side. That said, we take responsibility for not fully understanding what we needed when we first chose this platform. We didn’t know how important it was to define our operational needs clearly until after we had this experience. The team behind the software seems genuinely committed to improving, but unfortunately, it just hasn’t been a fit for us. After six months of use, we’ve made the decision to switch to another system that better aligns with a service-based business model.

Pros

The ability to get granular with data was a strong point. Reporting and visibility into job details were helpful once set up. It also integrates well with QuickBooks, which made financial syncing relatively seamless.

Cons

The user experience is quite poor. It’s clunky, requires far too many clicks to complete simple tasks like booking a job, and isn’t intuitive at all. There’s no dedicated mobile app — techs have to use the web version, which often fails in basements or areas without internet access. Making changes to a job while on-site is nearly impossible for field staff and must be done by the office, which creates major inefficiencies. Committing materials to each job is cumbersome and time-consuming, and the customer-facing features are extremely limited. Overall, the platform feels underdeveloped for real-world field use in our experience, especially for residential service work.

Pros

A welcome addition to importing items into accounting software. Allows for easy reconciliations in payroll. Tracking of jobs just became an easy task.

Cons

A few kinks along the road but issues get resolved quickly.

Getting the data directly into our accounting system has always been a pain. Also, changes made in my finance department often would not find its way into the field. As a result decisions being made would be late or even wrong. Service365 allows the data between the field platform and the finance system to be 100% real time synced.

Pros

It very easy to navigate to jobs, create quotes, enter time and invoice complex job.

Cons

I wish the product would integrate with other accounting platforms.
