Overall, a very positive experience. WorkPlan is particularly strong in supporting onboarding, training, and performance conversations, and the wide range of online training modules is both practical and impactful. It brings structure, clarity, and consistency to how employees are developed and managed.

Pros

What stands out most is the combination of ease of use and value for money. From an HR perspective, it’s a practical, accessible tool that delivers strong outcomes without being overly complex, while still providing the structure needed for accountability, training, and performance management.

Cons

There’s nothing significant that stands out as a negative. Our experience with WorkPlan has been very positive, and it has delivered well on what we needed from a planning and workflow perspective.

WorkPlan works well as a structured, compliance-focused LMS. While it includes features that go beyond our use case, it is a reliable platform for delivering and tracking knowledge evidence in vocational education.

Pros

We have used WorkPlan Learning specifically to support knowledge and evidence requirements in vocational education. The platform is easy to use for both course setup and learner navigation of content. The content builder allows straightforward creation of assessments, quizzes, and supporting materials, which can be structured clearly around required VET knowledge outcomes. The interface is clean and modern, which helps learners focus on the task rather than the system itself. A major strength is course and student progress management. WorkPlan provides real-time tracking, dashboards, and reporting, making it easy to monitor completion and identify gaps. This is particularly useful in a compliance-driven environment where evidence of completion is essential. WorkPlan offers solid value, and their customer support over many years has been consistently responsive and helpful.

Cons

While reporting within the platform is strong, the available data export options are currently a bit limited for advanced use cases. It is encouraging that further enhancements to export functionality are already in development and will be available soon.

From a learning and organisational development perspective, it enables learning to be designed with intent, delivered with consistency, and tracked with clarity. It is particularly effective for organisations looking to move towards a more mature learning ecosystem, where learning is aligned to business outcomes and embedded into everyday practice. Overall, it is a highly capable platform that supports both immediate learning needs and long-term organisational growth.

Pros

What stands out most about WorkPlan is its ability to support learning as a strategic function rather than an administrative task. It enables organisations to design and deliver structured learning pathways that are aligned to real capability needs, while maintaining clear visibility of progress, engagement, and outcomes. The platform balances simplicity with depth, allowing both learners and administrators to engage with it confidently without unnecessary complexity. It supports consistency across teams, reinforces accountability for learning, and integrates well into broader organisational workflows. Importantly, it creates the conditions for learning to be embedded, applied, and sustained over time, rather than remaining a one-off event. WorkPlan offers a strong middle ground, enabling structured, capability-led learning without overengineering the solution. It supports organisations in implementing learning aligned with real business needs, rather than simply deploying content. The platform’s strength lies in its ability to embed learning into organisational workflows, maintain clarity around progress and outcomes, and support consistency across teams. From a strategic L&D perspective, the decision came down to choosing a platform that enables sustainable capability building, not just content delivery or system functionality. WorkPlan provides that balance, making it a more effective and practical choice for organisations focused on long-term impact rather than system complexity.
