It's also extremely secure. I highly recommend it. Pros I love how easy and convenient it is to use Samsung pay when I'm out shopping. I don't even need to take my wallet out. It's straightforward to use and I have never experienced any glitches or issues with it. There are also certain credit card perks to paying with a digital wallet like Samsung pay. I get extra cashback whenever I check out with my credit card via Samsung pay. Cons Not every store accepts Samsung pay. It's definitely gaining traction but because it's not available everywhere you still need to always have a physical card with you. Samsung Pay is just not accepted as widely as the other NFC pay apps. Sometimes I've went into establishments that don't state they accept Samsung Pay and it works but its rare, it's just not everywhere. Cons Samsung Pay isn't as popular with most establishments as the the other NFC payments apps are. I'm all for Samsung, but it's just not available. Maybe I'll give it another try in the future. I don't want or need a pin on my watch. Pros The great thing about samsung pay is that it's convenient to pay for things when your hands are full at the grocery store and you need to tap and go. It's also great when your phone runs out of battery Cons The whole point of having samsung pay on your smart watch is for ease of access. It was great when you had to put in a pin once you open the app on your watch and want to make a payment. It's changed now so that your watch itself needs a pin, which makes it useless. Its nice to track everything in one place! Pros I like being able to pay for things with my phone. Its super simple to use. The key thing that makes me love Samsung Pay vs other digital wallet apps is the addition of MST. I can pay with my phone even though its not a smart terminal because Samsung Pay creates a magnetic pulse that mimics swiping your card. Cons I hate that it constantly hangs out at the bottom of the screen. Wish there was a way to make it not be in the way of navigation buttons. The advantage to this is that it's unhackable as your code is constantly being changed and it has less prompts than a typical pay system. From a POS perspective it's just one more way to take payments from customers. Cons No real complaints, the implementation at the store level took a little longer than expected but I think it's due to our infrastructure but other than that no complaints. This was such a disappointment and caused me to not continue having Samsung Pay be my go-to payment method. I like the convenience of having my cards in one secure spot on my phone in the event that I forget my wallet in the car or at home. The cash back offers are great and easy to cashout-no minimum required. I recommend this to anyone with a Samsung phone.
