What is Sage X3?

Sage Business Cloud X3 is an ERP software suite that includes integrated functionality for financial management, sales, customer service, distribution, inventory, and manufacturing, and business intelligence. Sage Business Cloud X3 is web-based, browser agnostic, and responsive on mobile devices. At the same time, it is also available to be deployed on-premises and as a service in the AWS cloud managed by Sage or a partner-provisioned cloud.

Pros

  • The structure of the software is good and allows for good navigation. It has some standard features that are good.

  • Overall, our experience has been positive. I would recommend that companies ensure to include it in their RFP process.

  • I am happy with the product. I administer this product as well as another ERP and this one is substantially better in nearly every way.

  • The presentation and easy to create reports with very simple and guided quearys also The user interface is foolproof which is a great solution for the support and information department.

Cons

  • Then refund process was excruciating, didnt refund money and had to follow up several times. Then you have to sign up with Pay for ACH which is worse.

  • Misleading advertising, said works with Mac doesn't really(yeah if I install it in parallel and buy a new subscription for all my other software in Microsoft parallel).

  • As an administrator I always have problems when it comes to support and debugging problems presented in the application in which many of them are not documented properly.

  • Sometimes can have JSON or Java Bridge errors. Sometimes one minor error can cause the whole system to freeze up.

"Sage X3 for sales management"

Overall: Sage X3 is a great solution in our company to keep order in our sales management helping us from the accounting part to the inventory issue with a great accuracy that helps in our company to increase our productivity and maintain an order that has been forming for years, being key to business development. Paperwork-filled processes were left behind in our company since we have been using Sage X3.

Pros: Sage X3 has an excellent user interface, it feels like all the icons and elements are in the right place to do the best job possible, keeping our users happy and familiar with all the possible tools within the platform. Importing and exporting data can be done in bulk helping us keep our file central up to date and saving a great deal of time. This tool is not suggested for small companies since the amount of functions and where it is directed goes far beyond, a very powerful tool that has minimal flaws that gradually have been resolved, the tool provides a lot of support when it is implemented correctly which is not easy, and its customer service is not as good as expected of a very powerful tool.

Cons: One of the things that have caused us most intrigue is that its error messages are not in our native language, so if we do not speak another language it is impossible to understand what it is about, it would be a good point to improve. The initial configuration of Sage X3 is not as simple as expected, which forced us to hire third parties to make it work and this represented an extra expense that was not contemplated in the investment.

"Sage X3"

Overall: Overall, our experience has been positive. I would recommend that companies ensure to include it in their RFP process.

Pros: Customizable features allow us to get the most out of the product. Workflows allow for controls for authorization where required.

Cons: Adding in some features required a lot of custom coding. Most notably was allowing for automatic allocations of product that is being cut.

Alternatives Considered: Dynamics 365
Reasons for Choosing Sage X3: Sage X3 was a better overall fit for our company.
Reasons for Switching to Sage X3: Our previous ERP was holding us back from taking advantage of certain capabilities. EDI was a bring one. As was expanding our E-Commerce.

"Sage X3 ERP has been a useful asset for our company, is great for stock/dropship companies."

Pros: I like that X3 works really well for corporations that are made up of many different companies. X3 has the ability to handle multiple separate companies that each one of can be further separated into stock and financial sites that can all share customers, suppliers, G/L accounts, etc., providing smooth consolidation. X3 has a very easy to understand and easily navigable user interface.

Cons: I do not like the limited capabilities of the canned reports and queries provided with X3. I also do not like the slow response time from the support staff. The program does not work well with customization because it causes a lot of problems when it comes time for patching and upgrading.

"Sage Review"

Overall: Overall experience has been good with the exceptions listed above. Allowing us to consolidate software is our goal.

Pros: I like the look a feel of the system and ease of opening other functions from the same screen.

Cons: System isn't designed for the chemical industry. A lot of mods or customizations have to be made for the system to support our needs. There is always a solution but there is always a cost as well. will be well over budget once everything is working the way it was presented.

Alternatives Considered: NetSuite, Kinetic and JD Edwards EnterpriseOne
Reasons for Choosing Sage X3: Felt over time it would be a better solution based on the size of our company.
Reasons for Switching to Sage X3: Growing faster than the system was.

"Sage X3, better decisions"

Overall: The System is easy to use, very customizable and covers the majority of the processes.

Pros: Sage X3 is a very good tool web-based and responsive, which allows you to easily cover all the processes in the business it's flexible and updatable and scalable.

Cons: Document management doesn't exist in the standard version. The attachment option is very poor and difficult to manage and maintain.
