Director of Technology Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Satisfied Deledao Customer since 2020" September 18, 2024 5.0 Very happy with the products and their continuous improvement and investment into the suite of tools. Pros Deledao is simple to setup, easy to manage for both Admins and teachers (Teachers portal) and provides automatic real-time filtering for a broad range of categories (especially their real-time AI image blurring technology to automatically blur out nudity/skin that might slip by the URL filtering categories) The wellness module is designed to identify High/Med/Low risk queries and report them to the appropriate emails (resource monitors). Cons Many occasions the wellness detection has worked to detect suicidal queries and other high risk situations. But to often innocent queries are reported as false positives. But the benefits to 'err on the side of caution' far outweighs any false positives so I'm ok with this trade-off scenario. Alternatives considered [GoGuardian](https://www.capterra.com/p/181311/GoGuardian/) Reason for choosing Deledao it met all of our needs back in the 2020 pandemic and still today ... while still meeting our yearly budget. Half of the IT department Education Management Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Sunapee School District uses Deledao" March 12, 2024 5.0 I think we might have been one of Deledao's early customers. They gave us a lot of help setting up group policy in Active Directory, to push the proxy to computers. We previously used our Sonicwall firewall to filter sites and Deledao's interface is much easier to use. The system works well. The proxy and Chrome extension update in the background so we only have to add sites that staff requests, and monitor the alerts and student usage information. We are very happy with Deledao. Pros We like that the product is easy to use and effective at keeping students from accessing inappropriate material. We like the flexibility to allow staff to access certain sites but block students from those sites. We like the fast response to tech support tickets and the effective solutions. Cons Sometimes faculty forgets what Deledao is. When they see the blocked page in their browser they don't understand what is happening. I think there is a way to add our logo to the blocked page, but we just haven't had time to look into it. Reason for choosing Deledao Real-time YouTube blocking was a big reason because it solved a major complaint. I am not involved in the financial decision but that may have been another factor. Teacher Education Management Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Terrible Product" September 25, 2025 1.0 I have used two similar products, and this is the worst type of this product I have ever used. Everything is working fine, and I close my computer, and everything suddenly gets blocked for students. I have a class set to end at a specific time, and it runs beyond that time, showing 42 minutes remaining, 42 minutes after I last clicked on the screen. It appears to have frozen. I teach computers and am very adept at using technology; there is no reason why these issues are occuring. Pros Students can request a site to unblock, and teachers can sometimes unblock it. This feature is unique. Cons It has too many bugs and is untrustworthy. The AI detection feature blocks too many needed websites. It is full of features our teachers and admin like. It was the first product for student filtering I saw that used AI. Pros The filtering for students is great and the ease of use is fantastic. Cons The Student Wellness. It is not very accurate and takes a lot of time to look through false positives. March 3, 2021 5.0 Our previous content filter was not fulfilling our needs. We met \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] at a conference and my colleague and I were really impressed with the Deledao product. After the agreement was made, we worked with them closely to bring Deledao into our environment. If there were any little bugs that we found, we let them know and it was resolved that day! We love this product. Pros I love the ease of use and the overall integration into our environment. The Deledao team is one of the best teams the Nashua School District has worked with. They have provided us a content filtering solution that keeps our students safe. That is all we asked and they continue to deliver. Cons I honestly do not have any cons. They are fairly priced. They provide a great product with great service. We have not found anything we don't like yet. Teachers like the ability to create their own rules. Cons As of right now we are not experiencing any cons with the product. Director of Technology Primary/Secondary Education Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Deledao helped to keep out learning process on track during COVID-19" March 2, 2021 5.0 We started with an evaluation last year when COVID-19 forced us to go to remote learning. The product was a critical part of our ability to have iPADs and Chromebooks sent home to the families that did not have appropriate computing devices. The people at Deledao were fantastic in helping us do a quick evaluation, and get us up and running. Now that we have both full time in person instruction as well as remote learners, the product is working fantastically, giving us much more control and better filtering than we have had. The product is very easy to use and provides us with valuable information about student computer use. Pros The AI analysis of websites, videos, and pictures is excellent in keeping inappropriate material from the students. The Student wellness function has allowed us to act quickly when a student shows signs of being in crisis. Cons The tracking of allowed site and blocked sites are separate. It would be good to have them available combined as well, for when you are trying to track a student behavior issue and want to know the progression of what happened. It was ready to use right out of the box. Deledao is extremely responsive and has added a number of feature enhancements over time to make the product even better. Pros The artificial intelligence associated with this product is fantastic. We are able to confidently protect students from harmful/distracting content with confidence. The user interface is easy to learn and there are many features. The software is not buggy, students have not found any loopholes, and we are very pleased with a product that simply delivers as expected. Cons There is nothing about this product that I don't like. Reason for choosing Deledao It is way better.
