### "Lessonspace - An effective, excellent and easy-to-use online platform!"

I have loved used Lesson Space over the course of the last year and plan to continue to use it. It is fun, accessible and makes online teaching a comfortable experience.

Pros

I like that that that Lesson Space is so versatile. You can label the whiteboard slides, change their order and add as many as you need for the lesson. It has similar capabilities to Word or Power Point enabling you to use pens, highlighters, text boxes, etc. but added features such as emojis and a chat space which creates an added layer of communication. But what I like most about the platform is the ease with which you can prepare lessons. It is simple to upload pictures and documents and you can always re-use material or adapt it for a later lesson as the uploads remains stored in the library. All in all, its a truly fabulous way to teach online and I would be very reluctant to change to another platform.

Cons

There can be an occasional echo on the line, but this is probably more due to the wireless network connection.

Broadly positive, but could be improved by a more optimised interface.

Pros

Makes it easy to share whiteboard space and resources with students in real time and all participants can interact with the shared space. There are many different drawing tools and the selection is good.

Cons

It is quite resource intensive, often causing slowdowns on my laptop, especially when the lessonspace has a large number of whiteboards.

Cons

Erase function is item-by-item. I would prefer an "area erase" option as well.

I switched to Lessonspace at the beginning of 2024 and it has overall been a very pleasant experience. The learning curve was a bit steep, but I feel that after 3-4 months I was expertly versed in the tools and functionality. I also will sometimes find a new feature that I had never seen before, which is nice to know that there are always ways to better the teaching experience.

Pros

Lessonspace allows me to collaborate easily and quickly access materials from past lessons. The drawing features are excellent - I'm able to teach math concepts quickly because I'm not stuck drawing a hexagon or estimating what a graph of an equation would look like. My organizational library is easily accessibly and allows me to find the documents and resources I'm looking for.

Cons

There are some glitches when using Lessonspace on a tablet. My preference is to log in on my iPad (simultaneously while on my computer for video and audio quality) so I can use the pencil to write on the whiteboard. I never give Lessonspace on my iPad permission to access my camera/microphone, but sometimes it will automatically connect in the middle of a lesson and I'll have to exit quickly because the microphone feedback between my computer and tablet is quite loud.

The introduction and startup process were sooo easy, and our salesperson was fantastic. We have had a great experienc so far.

Pros

We have found it is easy to add tutors and students, and we appreciate the support for higher-level math equations and chemistry formulas. Also, the price can not be beat!

Cons

We will let you know as our tutors explore more. The sharing and higher-level math notations will be the first to get scrutiny.

Pros

Really simple to use, for me and for the student at home. All the tools are very easy to use and I can do all I want during the teaching period.

Cons

I had difficulty to create my account and upgrade my account at the end of the trial period, but it's the only difficulty I had. I send an Email and I had help in a few days.

Pros

A breadth of tools that are very easy for both teacher and student to use.

\- Easy to share link to client/students. They don't need to download an app on their device. - Ability to save progress on whiteboards, and have multiple whiteboards up at once. - Can easily copy and paste pictures into whiteboard

Cons

\- Not all websites work well on co-browser (e.g. Baamboozle comes up as a flat HTML page without the interactive features) - Very laggy when sharing videos - Unable to turn off whiteboard features or pause co-browser (has been distracting for some clients and impacted on their participation on tasks)

Great user interface overall. I like that the setup was easy for a new tutor and that all of my classes and students are all in one place.

Pros

The setup for new students is easy. I do not have to create a new link for each session. I can reuse the same link and work from previous sessions are saved.

Cons

Nothing to complain. I am unsure if I can join on multiple devices, but that would be a useful feature, especially since it is hard to draw with a trackpad as compared to an iPad.

Easy to use, simple user interface and lots of functionality for many different subjects when I'm tutoring. Flexible for tutoring many different subjects and PDF import is very useful for me.

Cons

It could have more advanced LaTeX features for Mathematics.

Pros

It is easy to use and practical. What I like the most is the ability to share a PDF file and work on it together with the students, they are able to write on it and interact with it as well.

Cons

What I like the least is that the host (for instance, me) is not able to move around the space of the text that the student has written. For example, it is in the wrong place (too low, etc.), I can't move it myself and the student has to do it. Moreover, sometimes I have a "bug" where the text disappears (that I or the student wrote) and there's no way of using the reverse option to get it back, so for it to come back and fix the issue I have to share my screen and unshare it and then it appears. I don't know why it does that but that's the solution I found to make it appear again.

Pros

Lessonspace's teaching tools are engaging, dynamic, and intuitive for teachers and learners of all different tech backgrounds.

Cons

As a customer since 2017, we've certainly appreciated how robust the platform has become over the past 7 years! The stability questions from 2017 have been addressed and this really is an enterprise grade platform.

I like that all parties can view the tabs and move through them. I also appreciate being able to enter the space as long as you have the link even if the creator of the space isn't present

Cons

I don't like that I must always remove myself as leader to enable my students to move through the tabs.

Overall my experience with it is great, I use it to tutor and students have seemed content with the quality of the product. I also like the ease of use and overall besides some connectivity issues with my drawing tablet I'm happy with the product.

Pros

I like the ability to be able to create different pages, and the fact that a drawing tablet works well with it. The hotkeys to swap between pencils and erasers and the select option are also very convenient.

Cons

It's great that drawing tablets are supported by lessonspace but there will be times semi-regularly where it won't read the inputs on my drawing tablet properly, and I don't have this issue with any other software so I have reason to believe my issue isn't the drawing tablet.

Smooth, although it takes a little bit of fiddling to get used to.

Pros

I like that Lessonspace is tailor built for teaching — the whiteboard feature, the discussion board, the fact that the chat retains messages after the session has ended all work really well, and the share screen feature works smoothly despite being a website app and not a native one.

Cons

I'd like to have more options with my background — at the moment, you can only choose to have it normal or blurred; I'd like to be able to add a picture as a background.

Pros

I love the interactivity and how collaborative the website is for teachers and students. It really gives the feel of a teacher sitting next to a student.

Cons

I wish you could host classrooms with more than 10 students! Hopefully in a future update this may be a possibility

I like using the screen mirroring feature, where the border of the student's screen matches mine. This makes it easier to know what my student can or cannot see based on what I can see on my own screen

Cons

A minor gripe I have is that I can't use my stylus' eraser button. I have to manually select the eraser to erase any annotations I make
