Their startup and education system is excellent; self-paced and really well explained. The staged rollout is also great, so you're not bombarded with learning about more of the system than you want to make use of for a start. This is definitely the best system that we've used, because it's such a good fit for our business. Pros We love that Varicon is designed by people in Civil Construction, for businesses in Civil Construction. It's also super easy to use both for office staff and site staff (via the 'fat finger friendly'' app). The support is also excellent, both for assistance queries and also development suggestions. We really enjoy working with the Varicon team. Cons Nothing we don't like, just a few additional features we would like to see included, but we know are already under development. It’s intuitive and clearly designed for construction teams. Features like site diaries, progress claims, and material tracking have helped us improve workflow and accountability. It has reduced manual admin, improved accuracy in reporting, and made month-end progress claims far more efficient. Varicon has quickly become an essential part of how we manage projects. Pros Varicon has transformed how we track project costs—what we used to do manually in Excel is now much faster and easier. Allocating costs to site tasks is seamless. The site diary feature is particularly useful as well for capturing daily progress onsite, resources, mobile plants, labours, materials etc. allocated to the project. Cons The front-end interface could be improved slightly in terms of data entry layout. It’s not a major issue, but a user-friendly interface in some areas would enhance the experience further. The custom tailored onboarding was really helpful. We also have dedicated custom success rep which makes our lives lot easier. Pros The streamlined nature of the App together with the web based workspace assists our site team communicate to the admin/project management team in real time. This helps us manage our costs and productivity in real time, via a streamlined process Cons There aren't many. Sometimes the Beta modules can be slow to process data, but these modules are upgraded frequently. We are very pleased with our decision, as Varicon has been exceptional in supporting our transition. Pros It is an easy-to-use, logical system. The desktop portal is easy to navigate, and the field-based employees find the mobile applications easy to manage. We find the functionality on offer fits well with our business needs. Varicon are also very good at partnering with businesses to ensure future development fits the requirements of their customers. Varicons' support is fantastic, and they respond to all requests promptly. Cons Reporting is somewhat limited however, there is development underway with the integration of AI-driven tools.
