September 3, 2025 5.0 When starting motion, it took some time to get comfortable with its functionality. There's so much going on and so many options, It can be difficult to navigate alone. Luckily we always had support from the team. It made the process easier. Pros Motion helps my team track our task, create projects, and set cohesive timelines. Most of our management is younger, so we tend to struggle with focusing for long periods of time. As with holding large amounts of information. Motion makes this process way simpler and helps compile necessary information. Cons My only qualm with motion is some of the functions available on the website, are not available on my phone. I travel quite a bit, and there's a few things I'd like to do from my phone rather than needing to load up my laptop. It's honestly not that big of a deal. Motion is great. Review Source AC Avery C. Pros Motion has continued to innovate and raise the bar in the product month after month and it’ll continue to do nothing but get better and better. Best productivity app for work, EVER Cons I wish premium plans were cheaper and believe they would be more appropriately priced if they were slightly cheaper, but I still pay gladly and get my value from it. It has been a huge resource that has helped me stay on task and get things accomplished both professionally and at home. Pros I love the automation that it employs and the freedom I have once I upload my task into motion and let it do the scheduling for me. I don't have to worry. I just follow the schedule and get stuff accomplished! Cons The price and the fact that I can't make non-project based tasks dependent on other tasks. They have to be within a project to create these interdependencies. I also wish that I could be some toggles that have to be checked before a task is scheduled. Think about billing and procurement. I want to be able to bill the customer, await payment, and then order the equipment. so I want a flow that allows me to bill the customer and not schedule ordering the equipment until a non-scheduled task is marked complete. Cons Para acceder a flujos automatizados, se tiene que pagar un poco más. Estaría bien agregar al menos una automatización en el plan individual. I created a trial account for both of us, but I could not get them to sync. There was no tutorial. I used the AI chat to get help but it was useless. I opened a support ticket asking for help and no one ever replied. I canceled our trials before the end of the trial period, but they ended up charging my credit card anyway. I created another support ticket and email customer service to get a refund. After a week I never received a reply, so I had to contact my bank to get a charge back. It's been 3 weeks since then, still no reply to either of my support tickets. Pros Nothing. None of the features worked at all. It was just a calendar. Pros I liked that it integrated with my calendars, especially since I have multiple calendars based on several work-related clients. Cons Difficult to learn and was not user-friendly. I am sorry that I switched from Reclaim and wasted a year with Motion. It hasn't completely removed all procrastination but at least now I have zero excuses because I can see what I need to do next. Pros I love it. What a change it has made. I've adopted and learnt many systems and processes in the past from the all encompassing GTD Getting Things Done to managing multiple To Do lists but nothing is as useful and truly simple to use as Motion. The calendar updates, the priority of work, the simple view of what to do next and the project handling is everything I need. It's not as in depth or click-heavy as something like ClickUp but I found that if I missed a few updates things would spiral out of control and now it's a mentally big slog to put everything back. As Motion updates regardless, then this doesn't happen and it's simple to get back to now. So it passes the real-world usability test which means it's got longevity in it. Cons The last update video from the MD had an annoying 'whoosh' sound which was too loud but the application I can't think of much. Perhaps adding a feature where I can choose to not be able to add a task without associating it to a project first - I notice I have a lot of tasks that should be in projects but that's just my bad management. Switched from [ClickUp](https://www.capterra.com/p/158833/ClickUp/) I found ClickUp is a little more in depth on the projects which isn't what I needed. So I was spending a lot of time updating and being in ClickUp opposed to using it to just tell me what I need to do next and make sure all projects will either be completed on time, or if they wont be, what I can do to help change that. It’s like having a personal assistant who’s always on top of things! Pros The way it automatically organizes my tasks and calendar is amazing. I don’t even have to think about it—it just works.The design is clean and straightforward, so I didn’t feel overwhelmed trying to figure it out. I also use Google Calendar, and it syncs perfectly, so I didn’t have to change how I work. Cons It’s not the cheapest option out there, so it might not work for everyone’s budget.
