I get incredibly positive responses to the cards I send, and I've found a multitude of ways to harness the tool to communicate more effectively. One thing I've done is make a fun "e-brochure" to assist with onboarding. While HR sends a wall of text, not everyone responds well to that format, so that's where my step-by-step guide, complete with links, animations, photos, and instructions comes in. I've seen an improvement in onboarding times since implementing the e-card, and I look forward to innovating more ways to improve processes in the future. Pros I appreciate this diverse tool which helps me demonstrate appreciation at a remarkably low cost. The site continually evolves and improves offerings, and the customer service is incredibly fast and responsive. I appreciate the ease of use with the site and the flexibility offered in customizing what works best for my needs at any given time. Recipients express a lot of gratitude, and I've had many people within my organization ask about using the site for their own units. In a time when we're asked to do more with less, Ellacard has been my favorite tool to show gratitude, recognition, compassion, and more. Cons I wish the business option were a bit more affordable. I use cards to welcome new hires, but the messages are regularly routed to their spam folders. If I could send from my work email address, I think that issue would resolve. While I primarily use my account for work, I fund it myself because it's important to me to have this tool as part of creating a fun, caring, positive environment for my employees. Cons Sharing designs/creating cards with another team member is limited even if both are admins. The cost to send the cards directly to signers is pricey but we share the link instead. What used to be a manual process that required tracking down cards and remembering to deliver them is now fully organized and automated. The platform is user-friendly, reliable, and makes it easy for everyone to participate. Overall, it's been a great experience and has made recognizing our coworkers much simpler and more efficient. Pros The biggest benefit is how much time and effort it saves. Before Ellacard, we passed physical cards around the office, and they would sometimes get stuck on someone's desk or get lost altogether. With Ellacard, I can create a card in minutes, send a link to the entire office, and everyone can sign whenever it's convenient for them. Multiple people can sign at the same time, and the completed card is automatically delivered to the recipient on their special day. It takes all of the tracking, reminders, and hassle out of the process. Cons My only real complaint is that when I was looking for a very specific type of card, I couldn't always find exactly what I had in mind. While there are plenty of options available, there were a few occasions where I wished the card selection was a little broader or that it was easier to narrow down searches for more specific themes. Pros Great variety of cards and your website makes customization easy, so they fit every individual and situation. Sending a group card is so easy! Some of the designs (wordings, pictures) are not suitable for the workplace. I worry about running out of card designs to use. You have a huge inventory so if I were to say, I wouldn't mind an even bigger inventory with more humor. (I don't want to sound greedy!) We started using virtual cards during COVID. I bought the 50 card package and they emailed advising me that their new policy that I would lose the remainder cards I didn't use after a year. I had 20 cards and even though that's what I paid for, I would lose them. I emailed them and they extended it a few months. If there's no birthdays, you don't use the cards. Then they raised their price. I would've been cheaper to buy a card. So one my year ended, losing over 20 cards, I started looking for a different company. Review Source HP HaShall P. I mainly use it for employee birthdays (not so much employee recognition,) but the options they have are very diverse. The options for designing the card are also great and I can tell it engages our employees when they go to read & sign it. Their customer support staff are responsive which is highly appreciated. Cons They switched the GIFS to a different company, and to be quite honest, they suck. I prefer the Giphy website and hopefully you guys will go back to them. (I've had to make my own since some of the GIFS I truly love have gone missing.) It has allowed our team moral to increase and we have started using it more often to increase of employee recognition. Pros Setting up automations was surprisingly easy and straightforward, which saved me a lot of time. Whenever I had a question, the EllaCard team was quick to respond and very helpful, making the whole process smooth. On top of that, our entire team is able to access and use the platform without any issues, which has made collaboration seamless. Cons One area I think could be improved is the initial learning curve. While the platform is powerful, it took a little time to get familiar with all the features. Once I got past that, though, it became much easier to use. Cons It's not as initiative to add new users to the automation sections. When I add someone to my contacts, I then have to navigate to the automation and figure out how to add them to that flow. Now I work from home and I have 2 young children - and getting out to pick a card is not on our list of priorities! Plus they are very expensive these days! Pros We love that this creates a way to show appreciation for our team members. This allows everyone to sign so easily. I schedule these ahead of time and do not have to worry about anything! We celebrate each other's victories, and it really keeps our company culture positive. Cons I wish more options would become available more often. Not just with the card design, but the colors, fonts, music and animations. After years of using this, I am now almost reusing everything.
