It parses most of my emails, is helping me build some databases, does some data collection (scraping), and as I learn it better I will be able to do more and more. " October 25, 2022 5.0 I use it mainly for all my backoffice needs:- making sure that my CRM is always up to date- automated multi-channel campaigns (I know of no other software which currently supports at least one of those channels, which is a massive USP for me)It fulfills those needs beautifully and far better than I could in my own.I will not say, that it did not take work to get the workflows set up initially. But that applies to any new tool. The things I like best about it: I can by now adapt to any changes within the social media platforms I use within a matter of hours instead of being dependent on the developers as in the case of no-code platforms. Getting rudimentary knowledge of Javascript and setting up the workflows helped me identify inefficiencies in my operating procedures. Also: I can (and do ) continuously improve it with new functionalities that are tailor-made to my specific requirements. Pros \- Incredible versatility- Extremely helpful support and Discord group- Saves me from having to hire at least 5 FTEs, even though I'm not even done yet with my use cases Cons Not really a negative, but after using no-code and Integration-as-a-Service platforms beforehand and not having any knowledge of Javascript, it took me a little while to get my head into it. For this - again - I can only thank the Discord group, where most questions were answered within 5 minutes and which helped immensely with practical examples for some tricky parts. The update on Mac are a hassle. You have to download it, go through 3 security loops because their software is not signed. For an automation tool, having to redo the same things every updates (up to 4 times a month) is a real loss of time, especially since im working on 3 different computers. Pros It helps automate a lot of things, especially with the browsing function, capabilities are endless. Cons Support & updates are a nightmare. The team is small and made me understand very frankly that my problems are not theirs. Pros The functionality of this product is insane. You can automate almost anything with Robomotion. And in rare cases where you find a use case where robomotion can't perform what you want, you can discuss it in the discord group to find somebody to help you, or submit a feature request. I've been using this product for about 5 months now, and during this time robomotion had been updated for about 4 times, if I'm not mistaken. And with each update, it just getting more powerful. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and his team go above and beyond to help you learn robomotion and help you troubleshoot any problem you have. Their discord server is super active and very very helpful. Cons Robomotion is definitely not for the faint hearted. There is a learning curve that you have to go thru to master this program. This is a LOW-code RPA product, not a no-code platform. So if you are looking for something that you just can click and drag and drop, you might want to consider other product. However, I urge you to try this first. You have to know a little bit of JavaScript, a little bit of CSS selector and xpath. If you are able to power through these technical aspects, there's enormous power within robomotion that can help with so much of your mundane day to day tasks. Robomotion will give you power to automate what other "simpler and easier" RPA products can't do. So this tool though has a lower price point don’t take it fro granted. It’s one of those good things that come in small packages. Be prepared to get amazed with the speed agility and the ease of deployment. Never before have I seen an orchestrator work such seamlessly. It something to be experienced cannot be expressed in words. Pros Well structured UI A wide array of supporting packages Flow designer resembles a mind map and is very intuitive and easy to visualise flows. Amazing support by the founders and the team on discord channel that helps you resolve issues in real time. Near perfect scheduling Ability to install on Linux/Mac and Windows Super fast bug fixes and exceptional support to help scale and migrate processes. Pros Robomotion is very easy to use. If you work with it for a little while, you start to get used to how it runs and it can be an incredibly powerful tool to automate so much of your workflow! Him and his team are super dedicated and huge enthusiasts of the automation world. And also, they're incredibly friendly. I don't know of any other RPA company that does this, do you? It has replaced a few other tools we used before. We also cancelled a couple of hires of virtual assistants. What is worth mentioning that although technical documentation is not very detailed as of January 2023, it is improving and live Robomotion support on their Discord server is very good. After a year of using it, we are very happy with Robomotion and how it helped to automete our business. Pros Robomotion is extremely flexible and powerful. With Robomotion you can automate almost any repetitive process, that you were doing yourself or hiring people to do, automatically 24 hours per day, on schedule, on trigger etc. for a fraction of cost. You can conditionally chain mouse clicks, open/close apps, retrieve data from Google sheets, browse web, collect data from web pages, OCR, make API calls, operate Windows software (open/close, go through menus etc.) etc. We love that fact that possibilities are virtually unlimited. Cons If you know some basic code (JS), the learning curve might still be there. But after exploring and using the software for just a few weeks last year (without hiring extenal developers) we still felt as if we skipped a few years of coding tutorials and were able get the result we wanted (due to low-code nature of Robomotion). Anyone who knows what it's like to be a business owner knows how many things on a day to day basis you have to do. You have to wear multiple hats and work a lot of hours. I found Robomotion completely by accident and it has saved me countless HOURS per day. I've automated my outreach and DMing, my posting of videos to YouTube, my receipt processing from my emails for my accounts, my reminders, my content posting, and I've barely even scratched the surface with it. Anything you do as a manual repetitive task in the browser, you can automate with this tool as long as you take the time to learn how. I massively recommend it to busy people. Pros It's an incredibly flexible tool where you can generally automate anything browser based with it. The UI of the flow designer is easy to use (it's drag and drop), and the community/RPA developers are fantastic and very helpful. It's a great feeling to set RM to run in the background and it just gets on with those boring tasks without you having to worry if it makes mistakes (as humans do). Cons As others have noted, understanding how to use different parts of the tool has a learning curve, it's also beneficial to learn the very basics of Javascript (I didn't know any beforehand). Although mastering different aspects of the tool can be challenging and learning basic JavaScript might be necessary for some users, the incredible community behind this platform significantly mitigates these drawbacks. The first time I opened the tool, I had 10 minutes ahead to look under the hood. I got lost, nothing made sense to me (and I'm an IT "veteran"). Then I discovered the Discord channel, the forum, the webinars, the templates... All the help you need is available, just not presented where/how you would expect it. So there is a lot of room to improve the onboarding experience. All in all, it's a powerful automation engine but the user experience is repelling. And it's a shame because this tool deserves a massive adoption. I can perfectly picture armies of VAs using it to automate their mundane tasks. Pros It's a very flexible tool when it comes to web scrapping as you can bypass login screens easily and won't need a proxy - everything runs from your computer in a browser tab. And best of all, it does it in the background. You can still use your computer to do something else. I like that you can debug/stop/hotfix your workflow in the latest version. Cons The tool is powerful... but there is no point in having so many options when you can't figure out how to use them. For instance - what's the difference between the 3 kind of variables available to store your workflow data ? There is no tool-tip with a clear explanation or link to a documentation. Robomotion documentation in general is lacking and not easy to find from within the tool. And seriously... Nobody wants to create a discord login + a forum login + an app login to enjoy his tool fully. Sure, you can ask on the discord channel every time you bump into an issue, but it gets quickly annoying for everybody. You will need to code some parts of your workflow in javascript : Sometimes, it works way better and faster than debugging why your XPath/CSS selectors don't work as expected (or not consistently). Error messages are sometimes cumbersome and not so helpful to troubleshoot your workflow - you'll need to add your own "debug" action steps to understand what needs to be fixed.
