It's proven to be a cost-effective way of not only organising our media and making it easier to access - but for our members and agencies to share media with us. Pros It’s great value for money compared to other DAMs out there. It has all the features you regularly need to easily categorise, tag, and share your media with agencies. I’ve also found the customer service to be quick and helpful. The UX is clean and simple, with the useful features you actually need, and you’re not overwhelmed by extra add-ons that only have very niche use cases. Cons There's not a lot to dislike, but if I had to pick one thing, The auto-tagging feature is an area that could be improved. I started using Dash three years ago, and with the recent jump in machine learning and AI, it feels like the perfect opportunity to apply those capabilities so auto tags become more accurate. Better auto-tagging would save a lot of time and also make the search function more effective. The Dash team are extremely helpful, and have gone above and beyond to ensure we have a great experience with their product. I would strongly recommend Dash to any marketing team looking to streamline their asset management processes. Pros It's allowed us to operate our content versioning and distribution more efficiently and effectively than ever! Cons The only major point which is a miss for us is tracking asset downloads for those which use an embed link (one which directly downloads the asset to the user's device instead of going via a landing page within the Dash system). There's currently no ability to track downloads when assets are deployed in this way, and this is the best way for us to deliver assets to our users. Pros The AI functionality has been extremely helpful, and the dashboards are professional, user-friendly and easy to navigate. Dash has made managing our digital assets, media, and content much more efficient and organised for our team. Cons Overall, we have had a great experience using Dash. The only improvement we would suggest is having the ability to create folders within collections, which would make organising larger amounts of media and content even easier. It's great for sharing assets with multiple people and when used well, speeds up a lot of processes. I think there could be some better search functions as sometimes it's difficult to find certain assets. I also love the different download options. You can download in specific dimensions that fit for different social platforms. Cons This may be user error, but searching for assets can be difficult. I don't know if that is because we do not have a great naming or tagging system but I think there could be improvement in the organization and search features. It’s easy to adopt, secure enough for professional use, and it delivers strong value for the price. Pros What I like most about Dash is how it combines image/photo management with practical content workflows in one place. The creative team is much more organised and external teams can access desired assets and files rapidly. Pros The clean UX/UI of Dash makes it easy incredibly easy to navigate and use - both for admins and contributors who may not be as design savvy. Our organisation has been able to seamlessly integrate it into our day-to-day usage. Cons It would be nice if we had the ability to drag and drop files within the app across folders. Although folder structures are not the primary way of organising Dash, we still use some folders for ease of sharing. They allow you to do a free trial which I highly recommend. The user management also allows us to easily approve/review images before they get added to Dash. Pros Dash is so user friendly; it's hard to overstate how great the interface is. I love the auto-tagging feature. There's a lot of features Dash has that I hadn't even thought to look for, such as shareable galleries, and public submission links/pages. I love the way they've structured folders, user access, and so much more. It is by far the most user-friendly photo storage software that I found (and I researched heavily) that suits a large team of folks with varying technical skills. Recommend 10 out of 10!! Product roadmap could be more robust & features should be released with more agility. Pros Its a very cost-effective platform to standardize content across teams, departments and product lines. It is very simple to set-up and for the users to use as well. Learning curve is next to nothing. I also absolutely love their team who are always eager to help. It's no frills tool that can bring a lot of organization to the chaos that sometimes content can be. Cons I wish they had better analytics, something I've already voted for in their product roadmap. When you've got a team \*that\* responsive, it makes the choice much easier. :) Pros Dash provides pretty much everything we need, without being burdensome to use. The facial recognition feature was very popular among my colleagues, who would use it to find similar images of models to use in our eLearning products. Cons For me, nothing Dash worked as I needed it to, and if there were ever any issues, the support team was on hand to resolve them quickly. We can sort, filter, and find items that we would have missed without DASH. This repository has increased my team’s productivity AND reduced our frustration. I think my team is actually getting along even better since no one has to stop to find something or ask a team member to find it for them. Great search function and overall a team that are quick to respond to any issues or questions we have raised. Pros The search function that pulls text within images, but also will use the folder structure to pull results. The price is also a great part of the platform, which allows you to purchase more space and flexible in terms of the size that you can extend too. The onboarding from the team was also the biggest help, we migrated from another platform and with 700GB files to import it took some time. But the team were more than happy to help.The future roadmap and suggestions board, also contains plenty of exciting features that they are looking to include in the coming months. Cons The only feature that is light, is the amount of flexibility or custom pages available when creating a collection of your assets. Selections also don't save when navigating to other pages, so If you forget to act upon the assets you have selected, you can lose the assets you have picked. The upload of assets could be improved, currently via a browser or via ftp, feels a little clunky at times especially if uploading a large number of assets. Cons It is a bit of pain to set up folder-preview-images and for user guidance it could be better some times to show subfolders, for example in a portal. Being able to quickly find, organize, export and manage your assets saves time and frustration compared to other more traditional file storing systems.
