I found out about it through a friend and have since recommended it to others. Pros Something that I liked the most about Lumin PDF was able to edit and type on my documents hassle free! I like all the available tools to add text and signatures to PDFs. Cons The text tool cuts off some words and/or characters at the end of a longer text box. I spent hours trying to add multiple boxes trying to get my text to show when saving and exporting the document. I had to end up using another software. My only qualm is that you have to pay for more features, but that can be expected. Pros I love how easy everything is to figure out. The interface is so simple and easy to see! I also love that the free features included what I needed. Cons When you click somewhere to insert text, after you’re done typing, the text moves up a little bit. I think I would only use it on a laptop though, as you can edit a pdf directly on a tablet. Pros It was easy to use once you were able to figure out what you were doing. I liked the option to type and write using a computer’s trackpad. Cons I didn’t like the needing to add someone to your document in order to make a new one. I know businesses and free websites use these to help stay afloat, but it would be a lot better to also have the option to view an ad, especially for personal documents. Cons What I liked the least is sometimes it lags when uploading large files, but overall it’s still a very helpful tool. Misleading advertising that makes it sound like there are far more capabilities than it has. Especially for the high price, just get Adobe Acrobat. Pros Lumin's integration with Google Drive is a nice option. Cons The paid version of Lumin PDF is extremely limited. It does not nearly have the capabilities of Adobe Acrobat. An irritating "feature" of Lumin PDF is that document management happens through the Lumin PDF website or app only. If you delete your account you lose access to all your Lumin PDF documents. OCR is nonexistent. Text editing is limited and clunky. Copy/Cut and Paste is awkward and doesn't work between pages. Text boxes will cut off edits. Rearranging Text blocks is limited and there are many places on the page where a text block cannot be placed, even though it looks blank. Background images, real or imagined by Lumin PDF, are static and cannot be changed or deleted. Page arranging is slow to respond. Merging PDFs is clunky. Converting PDFs is inaccurate. There are other apps that offer better options that are free or at least aren't so limiting in the free version. The layout & ease of using it is good, but it doesn't make up for the lack of capabilities in the free version. Pros Lumin PDF offers a Google Chrome add-on & integrates with Google Drive. It is easy to navigate & use. The layout is simple. It is a good tool to fill & digitally sign documents. Cons The free version is extremely limited. There are constant pop-ups to upgrade. It allows you to annotate a pdf, but in the free version you are unable to edit the pdf. Plus, with the free account, you can only have 3 documents to edit/share.
