Pros I use the free version of Lumin to edit documents and send them off to be signed. For that, it works pretty well. Cons It's very slow on start up and the "Sync to Drive" doesn't always sync all my changes after I've made edits the document. The free version has that feature and more which makes it a perfect tool for students like me who may find themselves completing many online forms or editing pdfs, especially with the pandemic as sometimes it is difficult to access physical copies. Pros I love that it is linked to my Google Drive which makes accessing and saving files so much easier. the signature tool is also a great feature as well as the fill tool for forms. Love this! Pros During remote work it’s been so easy to send off documents to be signed with Lumin PDF and it’s easy to explain to people how to use it. It is also very facilitative in converting an image into a pdf for legal documents. I really enjoy how fast, easy and safe it is to use and submit those little, last-minute mandatory personal papers. Cons I think just how long it takes certain pictures to get scanned but other than that I love it. For years it was always a struggle using other applications to edit and save PDFs, until we started using Lumin. All of the staff say how much better it is now. The integration with Google Drive is great as well. Cons The free trial could have more functionality, but the full product is worth using. It’s website interface makes it super easy to do so. I also love being able to go on the app to fill in my signature with just my finger. It’s so easy. I can also do it on the desktop with saved photo signatures, but the app is great too. Cons I wish we could save more than 2 or 3 signatures at a time. Pros Having the ability to create signatures and edit documents that need to be done when the other person may not be able to be present is definitely a plus with Lumin Cons The problem I kept running into is when I went to save the changes I made and download the document, the downloaded document would still be the original document with no changes. I was using the free trial so maybe this is why, but it should be at least an option for maybe one document so one can see how they really like it. It is a 'one-stop shop', where you receive all your products on one platform. Above this, it also does not contains any ads. Pros The integration with google drive makes it the best for me. The files can be directly accessed and saved through the drive. Additionally, it enables the user to upload their signature and automatically adjust it (usually, we have to upload the signature and remove the background on the picture so to be able to have a clean and neat e-signature). The auto-save option is a life saviour feature. Cons The time for the pages to load can sometimes be a drawback, but I believe this depends on the user's internet speed. Cons The general design of the platform could be redone. I think that sometimes menus and features are not that intuitive when it comes to their usage. Pros are that it was similar to Adobe Acrobat and fairly easy to navigate, just some differences that would take getting used to. If the PDF you upload has existing edits from Adobe, they will show up in the "notes" area. Cons Unfortunately, this won't work for our team because you cannot replace text or upload files as an attachment to the PDF (i.e. a new photo for the designer to implement in the layout). It's fantastic that it connects with Google Drive, allowing for easy and safe storage of documents. I choose not to print these documents, and instead use Lumin to complete any editing to PDFs required. Love this product so much and I've already got friends onto it! If I used it more regularly, I would purchase the paid version as there's so much more available, and it's a much better price than the adobe alternative.
