### "Logic Pro Could Be The Industry Standard DAW"

April 28, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been amazing. After using Pro Tools, Ableton, Cakewalk, and other DAW's from time to time, Logic has become my favorite and most used recording software for producing, mixing, and more. The most reliable and easiest as well!

Pros

Logic was incredibly intuitive to learn and understand. The basic features cover most things anyone would need but the advanced features can reach so much further without being overbearing. The look of it allows you to find the basic features while ignoring the more advanced ones until you need them. Midi capabilities are incredible and easier to use than Pro Tools by far. It also very rarely has any problems with linking audio files to sessions that other DAW's tend to have from time to time. Just as smooth experience that allows you to record, produce, and write without worry or a huge learning curve!

Cons

I think my least favorite feature is the comping. It's definitely not bad, but the way you can comp takes in Pro Tools is smoother and allows you to save multiple versions to compare where with Logic that's much more complex, although achievable.

More of my clients and collaborators were using Logic than Pro Tools and the workflow with programmed music using midi is much better.

### "Music production made easy"

November 4, 2025

5.0

Superb. The vocal recording is good for recording my client base. There’s many microphone features. There’s so many features in general the app is very well made for computer and iPads. I love logic and keeps getting better.

Pros

First of all logic is very easy to use. The audio editing is vast in many aspects. Grid editing, sound manipulation and more. The app stays structurally secure most of the time.

Cons

The customer support, not bad but barely used. Haven’t really experienced too much problems. It run fantastic most of the time. There was a few crashes but it rebooted easily.

### "A logical audio tool for apple users"

September 11, 2024

3.0

I've used this program to create beats and mix audio for both personal and professional situations.

Pros

That it's easily accessible to the end user if they have an apple product.

Cons

Apple products aren't always the easiest to use and it's somewhat a form of locking you in to their products.

### "Logic user for over 15 years"

May 14, 2026

5.0

I made the switch to Logic many years ago, and it was the sole reason I changed from PC to Mac, which then led me to change my entire OS preference. It has been the software I have probably used the longest and still find joy using it today. Because I know how to use it, I often get asked to quickly cut audio for videos (social media, video content etc) and I can get it done quickly.

Pros

Audio editing and the general interface of the DAW are simple to use, yet highly capable. Having used many DAWs over the years, Logic has always felt the most intuitive to me, and it’s integration with MacOS and other iOS devices makes it the best for me to use.

Cons

If I haven’t used it for a while, it can feel a bit daunting as so much new content and many new features get added.

Overall, great experience. Easy to add tracks, other instruments, color code, and add markers. Minimal lag time.

Cons

### "YOU CAN'T BEAT LOGIC PRO"

May 16, 2025

5.0

I have used it for recording and mixing for several types of projects, including hip hop and rock. I also use it for quick demos, or getting ideas recorded quickly. It is VERY easy to use!

Pros

There are many good things about LPX, compared to other DAWs. A few are: 1. The cost - VERY affordable 2. All the awesome features! - the pitch correction abilities that are built in are worth the entire price of the software.

Cons

This is really picky, but the learning curve is rather high, due to the fact that the software has SO MUCH that I can do! There are so many features that I find some other websites helpful to learn ALL that the software can do.

### "Logic Pro is my favorite recording software"

May 12, 2025

5.0

Overall, I've utilized Logic Pro for a number of different applications. From live performance and audio routing, to tracking vocals and post-production. This software has met all expectations for my uses.

Pros

I love how intuitive the design of Logic Pro is. Though proficient at other DAWs, Logic Pro has been my preferred software over the last 14 years. With every update there are more features included that make the creation process and workflow a lot easier.

Cons

I can't really say that I have any dislikes regarding Logic Pro. If I had to highlight anything, it's probably how long it takes to download the additional sounds and content.

### "Great for Recording, Not My Favorite for Production"

July 6, 2025

4.0

Logic Pro X has been my go-to DAW for recording and comping. Great for singers and instrumentalists- anyone working with audio extensively. That said, when it comes to fast idea sketching or intricate modulation workflows, I still find myself reaching for Ableton. Logic is powerful, but definitely leans more toward traditional recording workflows.

Pros

Recording and comping in Logic Pro X is incredibly intuitive. The take folders and comping tools make it easy to get great vocal or instrumental takes quickly without breaking creative flow.

Cons

For production and beat-making, the workflow doesn’t quite match the speed and flexibility of Ableton. The UI, while clean, can feel a bit rigid if you're used to a more loop-based or experimental production environment.

### "Comprehensive, Accessible Music Creation Software "

September 25, 2025

5.0

As someone who has enjoyed dabbling in music recording and production for many years with entry level software such as Garageband, Logic Pro opens up a whole new world of possibilities with the array of tools it offers and the ease of use that it delivers. To anyone coming from a Garageband background, Logic feels like coming home, albeit a more fancy, upscale version of home. I recently updated to version 11 and am extremely excited about the new virtual session Keyboard and Bass players. I've really appreciated the virtual Drummer since it was released a few years ago as I am not a drummer myself and having a tool of this quality really helps to spice up your recordings and tighten things up rhythmically. I have used Logic Pro for at least 10 years and find it very accessible and intuitive, as someone who is largely self-taught through trial and error.

Pros

What I like the most about Logic Pro is that as a former Garageband user, it is very familiar territory. The general user interface, the look, and layout are very similar to Garageband. Essentially, Logic Pro is Garageband on steroids. I also love the sheer array of tools, software instruments, plugins and loops at your disposal to aid and inspire you in the creative process. As a solo artist, Logic Pro's Virtual Drummer and the new Keyboard and Bass Session players are a boon to my creative process and helps to track passably realistic takes of instruments that I don't play.

Cons

What I like least about Logic Pro is tied to what I like the most about it. The sheer array of tools at your disposal and especially the depth and complexity of some of the plugins can be intimidating to a new user. Plugins like Delay Designer, Phat FX, and Alchemy can be quite overwhelming to a self taught hobbyist producer like myself when encountered for the first time. However, that is to be expected as Logic Pro is professional level music production software, and even if I was intimidated at first, it didn't stop me from tinkering and playing around with settings to learn how to operate them.

### "Logic review"

May 12, 2023

5.0

Logic is quite an industry standard and therefore engineers and producers can come along and have at least a basic knowledge so that is a benefit. For basic tasks its perfect and you can also go in deep on your edits for more intricate work.

Pros

I have used logic since version 9 and had actually left to use another DAW as I was frustrated by all the menus you had to navigate to load plug-ins. In the latest version this issue has been addressed, making the ease of use and time taken to load a new plug-in much better. The audio editing is great as is the multi-tool. I like that logic has been improved up to a standard alongside Pro Tools and Studio One in regard to editing.

Cons

The mixing and mastering side of logic still lacks the finer details found in other DAWS. This does not matter so much with mastering for me as I would outsource this task. You can get a very good mix in logic I just find it a bit fiddly when you have so many tracks that you can't easily jump around where you want to be.

### "Logic Pro is now my go to music software."

November 21, 2022

5.0

Ever since using Logic Pro my producing mixing and mastering have improved ten fold. I produce all my own projects with Logic and now use it to record mix and master others in my home studio. When I first started using Logic in uni I was impressed at how easy the work flow was and ever since the updates that have happened over the years, it just keeps getting better.

Pros

I love the amount of creative freedom Logic gives me especially after all the updates that have happened over the years. The interfaces of most of the plugins are easy to manoeuvre and are easy on the eye too. Sounds in the library are really high quality and is great for composing. I personally love the ease of mixing vocals and actually seeing while hearing what I am actually doing.

Cons

Could implement a more flexible EQ with dynamic EQ options and frequency isolation. I find the flex time tool is still a bit touch and go with audio clicks and crackles and some other unwanted audio artefacts.

Switched from

[FL Studio](https://www.capterra.com/p/214598/FL-Studio/)

I made the switch because FL Studio for vocals for me was tricky to use with adding effects etc. Adding busses and sub mixers I found a little bit difficult as well.

It's a powerful experience to make music with Logic Pro X. It has a pro touch from start to finish

### "Logic Pro, a niche daw for all apple lovers"

August 29, 2021

4.0

Pros

Logic Pro has plugins and virtual instruments for the music of this decade, has everything we need to create current music very easily, having a workflow distinctive from any other daw, plus the apple ecosystem that allows us to continue making music from any device, Logic is the daw you need if you want to create beats and instrumentals easily and with infinite possibilities, and of course, always sounding fresh.

Cons

Logic Pro is a regular daw, isn't limited, but isn't complex either, it is in that middle point that leaves us to create quality songs, but it doesn't reach the level of the top market daw's, this software has the essentials to create music in an easy and fun way, personally I think it is focused towards beatmakers or artists who don't need large amounts of plugins to create what they have in mind, but if you are looking for a more complex daw and with a longer learning curve, Logic isn't for you.

### "Affordable music software with a few cons"

December 1, 2022

4.0

I have learned a lot from using logic pro and would recommend it as a steppingstone to any music producer. However, depending on the type of music, you compose or produce, the caveat would be to have another back up music software for the issues I have mentioned.

Pros

I like that it’s affordable, and when the software upgrade you do not have to pay more. The built-in features are all included without any additional cost. The other pro is that if you are coming from GarageBand, there is a familiarity with logic that helps you reduce your learning curve with pro music software.

Cons

The software often misbehaves and crashes, whether I’m using a plug-in or entering midi. This corrupts the files and requires a lengthy process to recover them. Because of this I purchased another music software as a back up. I have also experiencing problems adding new plug-ins Logic rejects some that install easily in other music software. At times plug-ins, eventually do work and appear but it can be unpredictable.

### "Logic Pro gives you a professional DAW for one price for life!"

May 13, 2022

4.0

I use Logic Pro's Drummer instrument to create backing tracks for many artists' original songs. It saves me hours of time compared to drawing notes in MIDI, and sounds fully-mixed out-of-the-box! I find Apple's constant hiding of professional features annoying though.

Pros

Logic's AI-powered Drummer instrument is worth the price of admission alone—it gives you a massive selection of professionally-recorded and mixed drummers, but you can play with their style and feel, and even convert the loops to MIDI to edit individual notes. Logic Pro requires a one-time purchase and updates are free for life. An outstanding deal. Logic's beautiful and elegant layout makes organising mixes easy.

Cons

Recording realtime into plugins, while sending cue mix to talent, was unusable. Recording often has long dropouts. Many of the most advanced (and necessary) features are hidden by default—apparently to make Logic more accessible to beginners, but this can make Logic feel obtuse to professionals.

### "I hate how much I love Logic Pro."

November 3, 2022

4.0

I use this product daily, and I love it. However, I also go ballistic at the product almost daily for one glitch or another. I'd never go to another DAW!

Pros

As an owner of a recording studio, I've built my entire business off the back of Logic. In comparison to other DAW's, it's just the best and I believe it's the industry standard for recording and mixing vocals. Track composition is very easy as it has a highly intuitive interface to record midi. I'll always recommend it to anybody who's a producer.I've been using it for nearly 10 years now and I'm still learning new shortcuts - it's great. Everybody who uses logic has a different trick to teach each other!

Cons

Plug-in integration isn't always smooth, it can also be quite glitchy. We have a running joke in our recording studio about this.

### "It's been my go-to for music, SFX and voiceover creation and editing since 2003"

February 11, 2022

5.0

It's been my go-to for music, SFX and voiceover creation and editing since before it was owned by Apple. I haven't left it for ProTools or anything else because it's really great and there is no need to switch.

Pros

The audio stretching and manipulation are key for me these days. Being able to change the timbre and inflection of a voiceover sometimes saves the day when the VO actor didn't say something the way you wish they did. And for music, all the built in effects are fantastic.

Cons

It takes some time to become familiar with the tools-- but once you do it's great.

### "Powerful with everything you need built-in"

June 8, 2021

5.0

It will take quite a leap to move away from Logic Pro now that I've used it for so long but I don't see any great reason to do that.

Pros

Midi editing, pre/post-production, and sound design couldn't get much easier with Logic Pro. Pull up any of their built-in instruments, effects, or tools and you won't be disappointed with the variety and quality. Workflow is easy to pick up with editable shortcuts and midi learn to make working with internal or external gear about as easy as it gets.

Cons

Even though there are plenty of tools built for Logic Pro, the fact that it can't run VST plugins is disappointing.
