### "18 Years Of Experience Using FL Studio For My Beat Project"

October 30, 2025

4.0

My overall experience with FL Studio has been great! Starting age 21 and still using FL studio until this day at age 39 going on 40 on March 8th 2026! I have got a lot of positive feedback to the instrumental beats this program gave me the ability to create and I can't think of ever using another program that would withstand fl studio when it comes to the quality and ease it takes me to make songs in fl studio!

Pros

I was able in the beginning of 2008 at the age of 21 to create my own beats and upload them to a page where they could be listened to and some were downloadable. This is the best beat making program I've ever used for construction a whole song using samples and mixers and mastering techniques with simple use.

Cons

The cons to using FL Studio is that it takes a lot of online learning to understand how to use the program and also you need some understanding of musical theory, etc. Another con to FL Studio is sometimes you need to buy a soundpack or download a free sound-kit to widen your audio sample library enough to expand your beats you make!

### "Great System, even better Operating System "

November 17, 2025

5.0

In terms of my workflow, FL has been able to provide a streamlined process to my projects, allowing me to spend less time fidgeting with bugs and issues, and more time recording music and beats.

Pros

I Mainly use this application for beat making, patterns, and chopping and screwing of Wav of Mp Audio Files. I love how far you can drill down into the audio and tweak even the most miniscule of sliders, each to have their own sound design and shape. I love how much you can do within this application. I also love the fact that it is a one-time purchase rather than paying 10.99 a month to keep the application running.

Cons

I run FL on an older Macbook Air, and I would say that It tends to run a little slow, especially when i have my Plug-ins added and running a lot of patterns. I would also say that it does overload my system a bit, but this is not on FL as my OS is not suited to run the vast amounts of data that entails with this application. Running the OS Visualizer ( Basic Plug-in provided by FL ) Is pretty much off of the table for me unless i run it without an audio track.

### "No after sale support, poor purchase"

January 20, 2025

1.0

No support at all, no replies to email and no care for clients post the sale

Pros

Nothing since I cant use it, license key does not work

Cons

Maybe a great product but exceptionally poor support. I emailed them as my license key does not work. It was purchased and I was provided with a license key. Its been over a week and no reply so be aware, like me you might pay and never get what you paid for or any support post the sale. Its a big NO from me.

### "FL Studio is a Game changer"

February 15, 2022

5.0

I have enjoyed FL Studio as it has evolved from Fruity Loops to FL Studio. Even some of the great producers have made some excellent music with and have shocked others with more expensive rigs.

Pros

FL Studio has sample based and software instrument to create music with. It has a pattern screen to setup your music patterns, Browser to setup your pattern in to a song. virtual mixer to mix your music with effects. Editor to enhance audio. Record sounds or vocals. THis is a full functional Digital Audio workstation. Plus, Akai has collaborated to make the AKAI Fire: a fully functional Controller for FL studio. It is a drum programmer, midi controller, sequencer, and mixer. all in one.

Cons

There are a lot of window to navigate through. Sometimes, it can been a stressful on your CPU if you don't have a great graphic card in your computer. Also, like Ableton live Suite, You must get the producer edition which is $400 dollar if you want to use their better software instruments, editors, or Effects.

My overall experience with this software is a good one, I can’t say otherwise.

Cons

### "So easy to make music!"

April 21, 2021

5.0

I use this software everyday to produce beats for friends and for Spotify and it is the best software to make music for all genres!

Pros

Has many tools to create unique music and songs that could be sold online for profit! I am a musician that uses it and there are endless opportunities for what you can make. The software comes with pre-loaded plugins and allows for music creation with just a laptop or PC!

Cons

Has a steep learning curve and takes a lot of time to learn and to familiarize with.

Ableton Live was very confusing and limiting with what you could do. It is also a lot more expensive with less options for purchasing plans.

### "Packed with possibilities."

May 27, 2025

4.0

It has been a lot of fun from the beginning as well as a learning curve. It has been fully compatible with all of the peripheral devices that I've attempted to use with it. And I just don't have any complaints. Great software and works on a Windows laptop.

Pros

Quite frankly it does it all. Truly a recording and mixing studio at ypur fingertips. Instruments, controlers, effects.... like it left any limits behind.

Cons

I was completely new to the software. It's not a perfectly intuitive interface. so learning it has been a bit of a challenge. So I joined an Mixing Academy that teaches about it. If you're familiar with recording studio software already. This is likely the not a problem for you, when it comes to interface.

### "FL STUDIO--A Great Starting Point for Rhythmic Composition, Arranging and Training"

December 25, 2024

5.0

Fantastic. I don't use the software much anymore as my understanding of theory has improved drastically over my early uses of FL. But the time and money was well spent on this software.

Pros

SIMPLICITY!!!! This is a great starter app for developing musicians. It's also a great tool to teach MUSIC THEORY TIMING. The graphic layout easily teaches basic timing and beat break downs. Very quickly helping young musicians understand timing and note types. Also great for DJ Remixing applications

Cons

Sometimes it became a little cumbersome to deal with alternate or less traditional timings.

### "Fruity Classic"

June 30, 2025

It's great! the first program I ever used to start making electronic music. It might not be the Lamborghini of DAWs, but for the tech you're getting inside, it's like getting a reliable Chevy at a great price.

Pros

Ease of use- no other DAW software comes close to the speed of simply making music with this softeware from the get go

Cons

The default sounds are pretty recognizable, and so one might want to go hunting for additional plugins.

### "FL Studio Stands Out in Music Production. Why?"

August 24, 2024

4.0

Easy to Use Quick Track Building Great Plugins Free Updates for life Recording: It’s not the best for recording and editing audio compared to some other software.

Pros

One of the standout features of FL Studio is its intuitive and visually appealing interface. The software is user-friendly, making it easier for both beginners and experienced producers to use and create music efficiently. It is just simple to use and is the best for anyone who wants to be a music producer, beat maker and record engineer in less time.

Cons

FL Studio is not as strong in audio recording and editing relating to other DAWs like Pro Tools or Logic Pro. This can be a drawback for users who need robust multitrack recording capabilities.

### "Unique workflow, with great tools and free updates!"

September 23, 2021

5.0

I've used FL Studio over 15 years in various capacities and it has always been a positive experience. I have however moved my live looping and live recording needs to another DAW, but I always come back to FL Studio for a few things; - Quick startup for experiments and ideas - Scoring to picture / video (Although I may be moving this to another DAW, it still works fine in FLS) - Managing plugins for experiments and sound design (their plugin browser is easy ton configure and customize) -Creation of video / visuals using zGameEditor

Pros

The free updates is by far the most valuable part of FL Studio. Having purchased the software over 9 years ago, I'm get new features and updates for free up to this day. Compared to any other DAW, that's unheard of. Aside from its unique workflow which is quite useful for breaking out of creative blocks, there are a few excellent flexibility options for sound design and composing alike. Patcher, its unlimited node based effects chain solution is invaluable for sound design sessions. Its Piano Roll is also the best I've used in comparison to some other DAWs and is a great option for working out MIDI parts on the fly. Plugin Delay compensation used to be an issue, but it's now automatically handled well. Some older reviews might mention this as a con, so it's worth pointing out that Image Line's free updates policy is one that pays for itself in the long run. Since its popularity has increased tenfold over the last few years, almost every plugin or 3rd party solution supports FL Studio, so there's no real reason not to have even the cheapest version of this DAW in your arsenal. Coupled with the fact that some versions come with the FL Mobile editor built in, you can make music on the go with FL Mobile, and import your project in the full FL Studio to finish it up.

Cons

Live recording is often highlighted as FL Studio's biggest snag point, and after using various other DAWs, its outdated approach isn't as streamlined as its competitors. It is however completely usable and can provide more than enough flexibility to how recording is done, such as through its audio editor "Edison". There are some plugins which have issues with FL Studio, based on the way their buffer requirements are set up, but these are usually configurable from the plugin wrapper and can be resolved.

### "Fruity loop studio review"

June 1, 2021

5.0

Regardless of the way that it's not perfect, I love it so far...I am 96% happy with the eventual outcomes I acquire from each venture. I make instrumentals and record vocals for my customers utilizing this specific programming and I am truly flabbergasted by the nature of the outcomes. it is wonderful programming.

Pros

The fruity studio is the best sound-altering programming I have at any point utilized, I would say. It has an amicable UI with a ton of astonishing highlights to change from making it simple for amateurs to use. I truly like the nature of the fundamental example packs It accompanies, the consoles (pianos), drums, synths, guitars, and so forth which gives me a decision of different instruments. Just with these example packs, I can create excellent instrumentals without the need of utilizing any outsider module. Another astonishing component I genuinely like about the product is a module called "Z game visualizer" which permits me to straightforwardly make a video for my present activities utilizing 3D impacts and pictures on account of an immense library of excellent stock pictures they have and once my video is made, It can straightforwardly be transferred to YouTube (with various transferring designs accessible to browse) and different other platforms. In the most recent versions (20), It is possible to create automation for different knobs. It makes that air of demonstrable skill as I can settle on when a specific impact should be dynamic or quieted. It is feasible to modify a workable format as indicated by the client's inclination (like color grading various instruments and appointing them to a particular mixer track) along these lines, each time you open up a new task, you will have all that set by your enjoying which saves a great deal

Cons

Fl is only accessible in English, Dutch, and Chinese languages. There are individuals who do not understand either of these languages and will find it very difficult to corporate with the product. The Eq parametric 2 actually has a few restrictions. It's not explicit in removing between frequencies.

### "Powerful DAW"

September 11, 2021

5.0

I have been using FL Studio since 8 years and by far it has been the best choice when producing beats or recording vocals.

Pros

\- Channel Rack: The channel rack is basically a drum sequencer that is very easy to use. You can program drum loops by a couple of mouse clicks. - Playlist: The playlist view offers great functionality when editing audio clips as you can slice, duplicate and rearrange them according to your preference. - Piano Roll: Comparing the piano roll in FL Studio with others DAWs it definitely the best out there. The main features in the piano roll is writing music pieces in an extremely powerful way where you can resize, chop, pitch and pan the note directly from the piano roll. - Mixer: 100 mixer channels with 9 effects in each channel makes the mixing process extremely smooth. The mixer has many features that come in handy when working on complicated projects. For example, you can change the color and the size of the channels according to a certain theme or preference.

Cons

\- Automation: Working on automation clips is very frustrating unlike other audio programs as the functionality is very weak and primitive. - Parallel Compression: If in at any circumstance you wanted to do parallel compression you need to make a mess by routing the mixer channel to a several channels and combine them again which puts a high load on the CPU - Deleting audio files from the software doesn't delete them from your PC so you need to manually delete them from the file explorer.

### "Fl studio: The versatile music production software for every skill level"

March 29, 2023

5.0

I have been able to create entertaining and refreshing music with fl studio. I have also used it to create audio tracks and sound effects for youtube videos. It has enabled me to create my phone ringing tone to express my uniqueness. I have also been able to record and add effects to audio advertisements for radios and televisions

Pros

Its ability to support wide range of third-party plugins including virtual instruments and effects is amazing for me because it makes my sound designing and production to be fun. Moreover its pattern-based sequencing is notable. This feature allows me to create and arrange patterns easily. Its ability to record midi and audio is also powerful. I also love the mixture track routing and grouping because it helps me manage and mix large projects.

Cons

The interface was abit challenging to navigate when I first started using it. Fl studio also has compatibility issues with some plugins and software which is a times frustrating for example apple audio units

### "Best DAW for newbie and professional music producers"

March 21, 2023

5.0

I have no problems with this DAW so far. I was able to mix, master and produce high quality professional tracks and I am very pleased with that. It also works well with external plugins and VSTs. I love using it and I don't think I will ever stop using it.

Pros

Here are the features I love most about FL Studio:1. Drag & Drop Feature - makes work flow much faster2. Side-Chaining using Fruity Limiter - quick and easy to set up3. Snap-to-Grid - especially the highlights by the "Events" option makes it quicker to arrange your song patterns quicker without having to zoom in every time to check if your patterns are arrange properly. 4. Pre-computed Effects of the Sampler - Especially on percussion samples, it makes them punchier without having to add unnecessary compression plugins 5. De-Essing using Edison Audio EQ - Very helpful in de-Essing your raw vocals6. It has shortcut keys for almost all the functions in the DAW which makes it even faster to work and navigate in the DAW

Cons

I had only used Producer and Signature versions of FL Studio so here is what I least like about them:1. There is not much difference between Producer and Signature Bundle versions of FL Studio in terms of instruments and effects.2. Not all of them but most of the "Instruments Presets" are mediocre. Meaning after you load in an instrument preset, you will have to turn few nobs to get your sound to sound right first. And for new producers, it will be a little daunting.

### "An affordable but professional DAW"

October 10, 2023

5.0

I use the all-plugins bundle which contains every aspect of what this software offers. Totally satisfied with the product, the developers care for their product, also their support is very good. Lifetime free upgrades is a nice unique addition too which is not found on the market from similar products.

Pros

There are many synthesizers and effects to choose from which suit every style of music. Most of the synths are straightforward and easy to use. The playlist and mixer offer big flexibility to make everything as fast as possible. Importing samples and files is easy as well es explorting to different formats. The software comes with lifetime free updgrades.

Cons

For beginners it would be hard to find key features as the software has a unique layout. Some complex synth's layout and labels are very specific and has a deep learning curve. Also the software struggle sometimes with 3rd party VST instruments. Switching to a different software is not so easy

### "Great Music Production"

June 8, 2023

5.0

Pros

FL is one of the oldest music production tools I know. I have used FL Studio for the past 10 years and what I like most about the application is that it doesn't take much space on my Hard drive, it is easy to use, and it also gives room for you to do a complete production on a single app. That is, you can produce beats, record voice and perfectly mix on it. It also makes it possible for you to import wav and mp3 files.

Cons

I will like it if FL tools like the Pitcher should be upgraded. Because most times, I will need to use extra pluggings in order to fine-tune someone's voice. If the instruments found in Sytrus can also be upgraded then it will be lovely.

### "FL Studio, perfect for everyone."

November 4, 2023

5.0

My overall experience with FL Studio is extremely positive. Within the first few days of using the program, I managed to create a little instrumental. The stock (built-in) audio plugins with the program made it easy for me to mix my instruments as well. I absolutely love this program and forever will as I use it daily.

Pros

The UI (User-Interface) is highly user friendly. It is incredibly easy and fast to learn the curve of FL Studio. There are also built in templates that have great mixing and examples of how to make a great track. The amazing piano roll feature also has great customization. You are able to select chords from any type whether it be major 7ths, to added chords. FL Studio has endless pros to its name.

Cons

The overall biggest con to FL Studio is its heavy price tag. FL Studio is for users who are serious about creating audio in any form or genre.

### "FL Studio, champion of the Digital Audio Workstation's (DAW)"

July 8, 2021

5.0

FL Studio is a user friendly digital audio workstation with a pleasing user interface, which makes you want to make music. The creators, Image-Line, are constantly updating FL Studio to make it better.

Pros

FL Studio is the all in one digital audio workstation with every audio tool for producers, as well as recording and mixing engineers. You can make musical arrangements by using audio samples and audio VST plugins, then create musical patterns in the step sequencer, and then arrange those patterns on the playlist to create a full length song. You can also capture audio if using an audio interface, which will allow you to record instruments directly through an audio cable or vocals through a microphone. Once you have your song complete, you can mix the song in the mixer, using effect VST plugins like compressors and equalisers to enhance the sound and make sure the different sounds don't clash.

Cons

Although FL Studio does have some built in VST plugins which cover the basics, there are better 3rd party plugins which you will need to purchase if you would like to unlock the full potential of FL studio.
