### "For experts and begginers"

November 3, 2021

5.0

After two years using this DAW, i definitely won't change anything of the software, the way that the company offers the DAW is really generous, i'm not welling to give a chance to other software.

Pros

In my opinion, Reaper is the most friendly software to use among all the options that someone could choose. It is easy to use, easy to watch, you have a great work flow with the interface and also the native plugins are so good and have a great quality.

Cons

I think that the only thing that i dislike is the design of the desing of the native plugins, it is so simple, maybe if developers change this just a little bit, with some colors and different icons, people would use it more.

### "Un software professionale e completo"

January 24, 2023

5.0

### "Reaper audio recording software "

April 19, 2023

5.0

Overall I'm very impressed with this software and will continue to use it as my daily recording software

Pros

I like the fact that the price is right and it is a top competitor with the more expensive software

Cons

They have to many options for a beginner and should have advanced and beginner setting to fix this issue.

Reason for choosing REAPER

I chose reaper just because of the fact that I can add any plugin to it and it just works.

### "Un DAW qui surpasse Avid"

August 4, 2023

5.0

### "Great software for independent artists"

January 3, 2021

5.0

I started using Reaper when I realized that my version of Cubase was obsolete. A friend recommended it and I tried it, band members started using it as well and now we can teach each other things. I use Reaper on Windows now and have not tried the Linux build but I think that's great! I used to run Reaper on a laptop I found in a dumpster, the Windows build run through WINE in Ubuntu. I didn't have any issues, but I think I only used it for editing, maybe not for recording.

Pros

It was free to try and there are tons of tutorials online and other people using Reaper to learn tips and how to use it. It's similar enough to the other programs I've used (Cubase/Protools) that I could jump in and learn from there. The EQ plugin interface is very nice as well. I find it is very convenient to use the waveform and move/change band points.

Cons

The only problems I've run into have involved things that I overlooked or didn't completely understand. I have been able to fix them, easily though not always quickly. I can't say that I have anything I like least about it. It's great.

### "An Highly Underrated Digital Audio Workstation!"

September 28, 2022

5.0

Overall I highly recommend giving REAPER a nice long look if you're shopping around for a DAW. The price alone is well worth it for one of the most user friendly audio programs out there. Not a lot of people know about this one when compared to it's competitors, but it's just a good as any of them for audio purposes. If you're reading this just go ahead and give it a shot for yourself and you won't be disappointed!

Pros

I love how clean and simple the Reaper interface is! In some ways it's the most simplistic and most intuitive DAW, especially for tracking and editing audio. Pro Tools is still the king DAW, but if you factor in the price then Reaper takes a bit step forward! It really doesn't get much cheaper than Reaper which is a major plus for it.

Cons

The only thing I would say that is lacking with Reaper is it's plug-in integration. While it does have a lot of good plug-ins built into it, it's definitely not as easily integrated with third party plug-ins as other DAWs.

### "Reaper Review."

Overall I like this software very much since last 2 years because after working on this software you do not have to go anywhere else.

Pros

This software is fully capable of producing a complete production of audio editing mixing with absolutely professional quality. This software is technically very advanced, you can see all the details of the audio track here.

Cons

Due to being technically stronger than other audio editing software, the new user has to study a lot before using it.

### "Customizable DAW for College Dropout"

February 23, 2022

5.0

Pros

Reaper is so easy to use and learn with lots of customizability for how you want your layout to look. I've mixed literally thousands of hours in the program and it's the only program I mix with now.

Cons

The only downside of Reaper I can think of is that it doesn't come with a suite of cutting edge plug-ins or have an option to purchase different tiers of the program with elite plugins included.

### "Very powerful at a reasonable price"

October 25, 2022

4.0

Pros

Reaper is a very powerful and extensible DAW. Advanced MIDI editing, multi-track recording, mixing with complex channel routing or live jamming or everything at once is never a problem. Additionally, it's very customizable in terms of the user interface or even using scripts for automating work - and it runs on Linux! Reaper has a generous trial period with no feature locks and then, it's available after a one time purchase at a reasonable price, which is perfect for independent artists.

Cons

The only downside I can see (literately) is the quite dated look of the user interface. The built-in effects don't come with fancy knobs, dials and VU-meters as you might be used to from other DAWs. The upside of this however, is that it's very functional, lightweight and extensible - something you can't take for granted with fancier user interfaces.

### "Reaper reaped expensive competitors"

March 11, 2021

5.0

During this pandemic era, I and friends played remotely and recorded some songs without getting together. Reaper made this much more fun and easier than using traditional heavy softwares such as Sonar and Cubase.

Pros

Reaper is light, fast, cheap, effective, intuitive, fun to use! I tried last 3 decades many other music production softwares, most of them are huge slow monsters, full of bugs.

Cons

The online help is not as good as the software itself, but most of time I found on YouTube tutorials produced by the users which helped me a lot.

Pros

Cons

### "My go to DAW"

February 7, 2021

5.0

I am a hobbyist musician and have been using Reaper since 2009 (switched from ProTools). I am a big fan of this DAW as I know it, yet I have so much more to learn and so many features I did not get to know yet.

Pros

Reaper has the most intuitive workflow for me. Before using Reaper, I tried Pro Tools, Cubase and Cakewalk. Reaper fits my needs the best. I love that the developers are conbstantly updating it and adding new features.

Cons

There is nothing I don't like in Reaper. There is maybe a steep learning curve if you are used to using another DAW, but Reaper is definitely worth it.

### "Software DAW entry level leggero e funzionale, ideale per iniziare"

February 5, 2023

4.0

Cons

Design minimalista poco personalizzabile, integrazione approssimativa di alcuni plug-ins di terze parti, dotazione di base minima.

### "A Good Starting Point"

July 12, 2021

4.0

Pros

I've been a REAPER user since 2019 (free trial only), and REAPER has helped me to get started in music production. It was my first DAW and I'm still an user. It is not my only DAW right now but I prefer to polish the final details of a song or a cover in REAPER. I understand why this is the DAW that everyone recommends to a beginner, and that's because for its incredible variety of functions that the free trial already offers to the user. You basically have the full software in the free trial, but obviously you can't market anything without the license (which by the way this one is very cheap compared to other DAW).

Cons

But within all good things there are also bad things. I don't know if I'm the only person this happens to, but I have a lot of problems when it comes to recording on REAPER. I use an audio interface that includes my multi-effect pedalboard, and it doesn't always let me record with it, and when I get it I usually have too much latency, so I don't use REAPER to record. I use it only for production.

### "Easy and powerful!!"

November 28, 2022

4.0

I use Reaper for my own musical productions with no more than 10-12 tracks. It's quite easy to install and run and the learning curve is really fast. I consider that the user experience and functionalities for a "typical home user" are widely covered. In my case, I mainly use the midi graphical editor with an external midi controller and it's was really simple and quick to configure!!

Pros

\* The interface is quite intuitive and the appearance is similar to other tools.\* Really easy to use and configure external devices, keyboards, midi input/output\* Great possibilities to add instruments, plugins, effects, filters...\* The midi files graphical editor is really amazing!! \* It's open source!

Cons

\* Probably the "help" section is not the best, but the community in internet is really huge and helpful!

June 7, 2022

5.0

Great for sound designer and composers alike.

Pros

This is my go to DAW when it comes to sound designing, it is so easy to drag and drop sounds and start to create something new from them. Making transitions, fade ins and outs with simple clicks make the overflow so smooth.

Cons

Poor quality video exporting. It takes time to get used to the shortcuts and the GUI.
