Cons Audition can do a countless number of things. The interface can be a little overwhelming at first and it can take some searching to find the right tools and buttons. I’m an Adobe creative cloud subscriber because of some design softwares I originally needed. When I discovered audition it quickly became a powerful tool in my video editing process. Pros I like the audio restoration in adobe audition. I use the denoise process and declicker. Both have cleaned up the audio in many of my narrative recordings. Attenzione: Audition non deve essere considerato con un software DAW, al riguardo la manzanza più significativa è la gestione del MIDI. Ma Adobe non vuole offrire una DAW. Come strumenti di Editing è invece potentissimo perché permette di registrare Audio in multitraccia, gestire i canali mono e stereo, utilizzare i plugin di terze parti, oltre a diversi processori di segnale che già possiede. Permette di editare separatamente un unico canale stereo (nessuna DAW ad esempio permette questo), ha un potentissimo analizzatore di spettro con diverse modalità di visualizzazioni e infine possiede tutto ciò di cui si ha bisogno per finalizzare l'audio col Mix e Mastering. August 25, 2024 5.0 I've tried a lot of audio software during my time as a journalist and audition trumps the lot. Perhaps I'm stuck in my ways (can't teach an old dog new tricks) but it does appear to be the best overall. As mentioned before I love the microphone settings and the ease in which I can make a £100 microphone sound like a £1000 microphone, this is great! Its multitrack editing is awesome and easier to use than pro tools and the like. That said, I've not used audition for music creation or instrumental editing. So my view point is that of voice and trail/promo, interview creation only. I'm sure pro tools will trump adobe when it comes to music production. Pros The detailed microphone compression settings is without a doubt the best function of adobe audition. It's also great when you need a clean up audio hisses and pops, which can be removed easily. Cons I guess like most long time adobe users I miss the option of purchase over subscription. I originally bought this software 20 years ago when it was Cool Edit Pro, an expensive purchase at the time. Sadly now, like everyone else, I've had to resort to a monthly or yearly fee, over a single one off expense. So in conclusion, what I like least is the ongoing cost. Pros It is one of the most powerful softwares to edit and mix music. We are able to edit multiple tracks easily where the music files are huge and complex. Integration with other adobe products makes it one of the best out there and the audio edited and produced from it are top notch. Inoltre spesso è già presente nel pacchetto Adobe dei miei clienti e non devo farglielo acquistare apposta. Pros Devo dire che cambiare software non è mai un bel momento: passi da essere super esperta su un software all'impiegare due ore a fare le operazioni più basilari. In questo caso invece il passaggio ad Adobe Audition è stato facilissimo: è enormemente intuitivo, sia visivamente che a livello di ricerca funzionalità. L'uso che consiglio è quello tramite shortcut a tastiera: una mano su mouse o trackpad e una mano sulla tastiera e si procede rapidamente. inoltre quando faccio lezione è intuitivo da usare soprattutto per chi viene dall'uso di altri software del pacchetto Adobe come Premiere o altri. Gli studenti, anche i più neofiti riescono a produrre immediatamente. Probabilmente lo consiglierei maggiormente per un uso sulla voce oppure lavorativo, ma forse per la musica userei altri software. Per la produzione di podcast e audiolibri invece è perfetto perchè è essenziale e leggero da far girare sul pc, almeno rispetto a ProTools e altri software che sono molto più pesanti e che obiettivamente sono anche troppo complessi per quell'uso Cons Da gennaio 2023, con la versione di Adobe 2023 in abbinamento con MacM2 ho sperimentato tantissimi crash: davvero troppi. Ci sono stati momenti in cui ho pensato di cambiare software perchè non facevo in tempo a salvare che il tutto crashava. Spero che questi bug siano risolti al piu prestoInoltre voglio segnalare che i plugin nativi, soprattutto EQ e COMPR non sono meravigliosi, quindi consiglio l'abbinamento con plugin esterni. Se si attiva un plugin nativo nel rack effetti, mi rendo conto che modifica la voce sulla traccia, anche se quel plugin risulta spento. L'unico modo è eliminarlo dalla traccia effetti. Anche questo è un aspetto che rivedrei. I have used it to record half a dozen indie rock albums, make music mixes for radio programs, and record multiple podcast episodes. Adobe Audition can transform anyone's computer into a powerful, fully featured recording, mixing, and mastering studio. It is easy to use and has all of the features industry professionals expect: waveform editing, waveform manipulation, multitrack recording and mixing, mastering filters, and more. All of these come wrapped in a fairly easy to learn, easy to use palletized Adobe format. What's more, Audition's synergies with other software (both within the Adobe family and through plugins) means that users are never working in a "walled garden." Cons Over my two decades using multiple versions of Adobe Audition, I have found little that I don't like. In the early days, I encountered some stability and performance issues with the software, but those don't seem to affect the most recent versions (from the past decade). I could nitpick and wish that some functionality present in plugins was in-built into the software, but that is obviated by the fact that plugins are easy to find and integrate. Probably my biggest gripe with the current iteration of Adobe Audition is its shift to a subscription, software-as-service model. This expense can put this powerful software out of reach for many aspiring recording engineers.
