Overall, the Peeklogic Salesforce – Jira Connector delivers on its core promise of keeping things in sync. The bi-directional sync and flexible object mapping make it a strong choice for organizations running Salesforce alongside Jira, especially in a PSA context with Certinia. The setup requires patience and proper planning, but once configured it runs reliably. It's a connector that rewards the time you put into it.

Pros

The bi-directional sync is the standout feature. Changes made in Jira automatically reflect in Salesforce and vice versa, keeping both teams aligned without any manual updates. The ability to map different Salesforce objects and records to different Jira projects simultaneously is also a major plus, and works particularly well alongside Certinia PSA for managing project-based work.

Cons

The initial setup and field mapping requires a meaningful time investment — it's not a plug-and-play solution. However, that complexity is really a reflection of how configurable the tool is. Once everything is properly mapped and tested, it works exactly the way you need it to.

Over all we have found it to be both robust and flexible. We can control where the JIRA data ends up in our PSA, which is important for time reporting, as previously mentioned, but also allows us to position the data to fuel our AI aspirations.

Pros

For a Professional Service Organization, the ability to track time worked easily, and above all. accurately, against work items, is fundamental to achieving any higher-level goals for the business.  In the past, though, we sometimes struggled with tracking work items until we adopted JIRA as our customer-acccessible work item management system. When carefully set up, it combines relative simplicity and clarity with reliability, and pricing is reasonable. But tracking the projects in JIRA is only half the battle, unfortunately. Our PSA also needed to be aware of these items so that we could control timecard entry and relate every minute of billable time worked to a recognizable work item that our clients could identify. This is where PeekLogic excels. It has provided us with a straightforward but flexible way of populating project milestones as epics and project tasks as stories in synchronization with JIRA so that timecard compliance is now simple to achieve. Highly recommended.

Cons

With flexibility comes the ability to get things wrong, so I would advise anyone setting up this integration to study the data models for source and target data and understand the mappings well, in order to make sure the configuration is fit for purpose.

We had a consistent lag between when work was completed in Jira and when it appeared in our PSA reports due to manual double entry. That lag caused problems with billing cut-offs and project status reporting. The real-time sync eliminated it.

Pros

We deploy Certinia PSA on Salesforce for a living, and we also use Jira for Project Tasks. Before this connector, I was updating status in two places. Now when we create a PSA Milestone, a Jira Epic gets created automatically.

Cons

Nothing. I've configured a few Salesforce-Jira integrations over the years. Most of them require middleware, custom code, or a dedicated admin to keep running. This one installs natively on AppExchange and the field mapping UI is clear enough that I didn't need to open a support ticket.

Pros

For Certinia PSA Users there is no better way to connect Jira and PSA. We can bring together both teams to automatically create Jira Epics or Stories from projects at milestones or tasks in Certinia PSA or automatically create Certinia assignments in Certinia PSA. Since we require capture of timecards to track and bill services, the ability to auto-generate timecards from time entered in Jira is a game changer. We can now also provide visibility and collaborate across both applications seamlessly in real time.

Cons

The flexibility to support our processes is fantastic but the setup can be a bit tricky to support some use cases but with the right support we are confident we can get what we need.

It is surprisingly easy and flexible in it's configuration. The architecture is powerful and makes integration much easier that point to point solutions.

Pros

It bring Jira data directly into Certinia PSA for a single system of record for project reporting and status updates.

Nothing. The connector is working smoothly, data sync is stable, and everything looks good on our side.

What I love most is how it creates a single source of truth; our support agents can see live Jira updates right inside Salesforce, which means they aren't constantly Slack-ing developers for status reports on bugs. The automated syncing is incredibly reliable, and being able to link specific cases to engineering tickets ensures that nothing falls through the cracks, allowing us to give customers much more accurate timelines.

quick and easy to get rolling. Lot's of opportunity for expanded integration and functionality. Peeklogic team was great to work with.

Pros

Easy to do the initial set up and deployment. Lots of options to add on layouts and filter by projects to specific objects in Salesforce ie. limiting the Jira projects that can be selected through the Case object.

Cons

With lots of flexibility in the integration, there is a lot of options and settings needed to go the next step with the product. It can require a good amount of set up to get an indepth integration.

Pros

The best is that it is available in the AppExchange in Salesforce so you don't need to look for it. It has 2 ways synchronization and allows for automated workflows.

Cons

Besides Jira being a little difficult for first-time users once you get to understand it it will make Project Management workflows a breeze.
