Pros Very easy to use, love that it is native in NetSuite and there is no integration to manage. It has all of the functionality you need and it is easy to understand how to use it. Our NetLease team that we worked with were great. Their communication and attention to detail was some of the best I have worked with. Pros Integrating this product into our current accounting software was very important and the implementation was seamless. We were also looking for a product that made generating the lease schedules with historical data and future data easy to view, print, and use and this checked all of those boxes for us. Finally, being able to put together the necessary disclosures that we would need for our year end financials and audit was also something that we were looking for and found with NetLease. Cons The only hiccup we have found is the sometimes complication of customizing the standard reporting that comes with the software, however, it is something we have been able to navigate around. Customer support has been great, even when we hit some bump in the road. Pros The implementation was pretty straight forward, be prepared to do a alot of data entry and lease contract review. we spent roughly 50 hours gathering all the information alone. The product itself is super easy to use and update items. It is a bit challenging to correct mistakes, so make sure you are 100% sure about the information before going live.The features we really find useful are the reconciliations reports, clearing accounts, automatic amortization, go live and reclass entries and the renewal reminders. Cons integration was not difficult at lot, this actually helped us improve out a process by streamlining some emails. The features that are lacking are automated reports and recons that could be sent straight to our email and the addons such as non-lease payment (if your are willing pay for it the free version lacks this feature) Reason for choosing NetLease NA, this was the only product we reviewed as it was recommend to us by our audit team Review Source DP Deb P. Moving to NetLease solved our issue from manually recording and tracking to bringing our leases into one software for tracking, entering monthly entries and reporting Pros The ease of use of this software is incredible. From setup to modifications to monthly reporting it is all extremely easy and intuitive. However, NetLease implementation and ongoing integration have been worth every penny. It is glorious to not be using Excel to track leases, lease amendments, interest rates (our auditors appreciate this as well). We also transitioned from 840 to 842 under NetLease seamlessly. NetLease's integration with NetSuite, responsive customer support, and cost-effectiveness result in a whole-hearted recommendation for other companies looking. Pros PROS: (1) The software is integrated into NetSuite! Integration with NetSuite is incredibly helpful and makes the accounting process for leases seamless. (2) Having a system to calculate the amortization schedules, process amendments, and view all journals directly makes our company's lease accounting clean and auditable. We don't have to maintain manual spreadsheets that are error-prone. (3) Compared to other SuiteApps, the annual cost of NetSuite is very reasonable. It's by far the best money for time saved. (4) Customer service is great. Every time I have contacted support, they've reached out to me within about a day. Cons CONS: Some of the reports could be more customizable within the menu item. I usually have to save customized reports as a separate search/report. The support team was awesome. Very responsive and providing guidance for all our questions. We had weekly calls during the implementation to keep everyone on track. Their previous experience with clients was beneficial to help with our questions. Pros NetLease is embedded in NetSuite which is great because we don't have to use multiple systems to run our monthly entries or reports. Being able to run the bills and journals for all the leases at the same time really help make the process more efficient. Cons There are some limited fields with the bills such as being able to vary the dates on different leases. The implementation was flawless and Vincente was always ready to help with whatever he could. He was very knowledgeable. Using the software for a couple months now, I am always impressed with how streamlined the process to book month end journal entries and then report on month end balances is. We are confident in our transition to 842 with the help of Vincente and everyone at NetLease. Pros The fact that it integrates seamlessly into NetSuite made the learning curve very minor. The extensive reporting will greatly assist us with our year end audit and any disclosures that we were previously developing manually. Being able to access and adjust the details of the leases directly in NetSuite and have the changes automatically flow to schedules and future journal entries has streamlined our close process. Cons In some instances it is difficult to adjust during set up if the lease is in commenced status and needs a change. I had to use the time machine several times. Reason for choosing NetLease We were very impressed with the reporting package included in NetLease. When we were evaluating a new tool, we really wanted something that would integrate or be part of NetSuite which NetLease seamlessly does. The implementation process for NetLease was super easy, and the team at NetGain really guided us through how everything works. Having people that understand the accounting guidance involved, gave us assurance that the software would work as expected. The standard reporting is something that we really appreciate - quick as clicking a button! Overall, great tool and service from NetLease! Pros NetLease is super easy to implement and maintain. December 6, 2021 5.0 NetLease was very easy to get started on. Tying out to our current schedules was easy with the help of the NetGain team. Their support was on top of all our questions and was really accomodating when we wanted to move forward our go live date. The team at NetGain made this a very great and easy experience to get started. Pros The amortization table allows for a really clear view of entries going to be made. Entries take just a couple minutes to complete on a monthly basis. Cons Utilizing the clearing account to get assets into NetLease is the only drawback, reminding our team regularly to code to this account rather than the asset accounts. February 3, 2022 5.0 Pros PROS: Team was extremely responsive, and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] went out of his way to answer all of our questions and move implementation along in a timely manner. PROS: NetLease is embedded directly into our NetSuite so it eliminates the need for another sign on and other processes! This is by far one of the things that sold our team on this product. PROS: We had a few unique situations that we needed to consider modifications for; with NetLease we can modifications to lease life, ROU impairments and decrease in scope. These are so easy to make and don’t require complex spreadsheets outside of the system. Cons Cons: Nothing as of late. Lease Modifications: – Any modifications to a lease are made with an easy click of a button. (i.e., Lease extensions, ROU Impairment, Decrease in Scope, etc.) 3. Monthly Journal Entries: – Entries are easy to run monthly, with many available filters (i.e., Period, Subsidiary, Location, Lease Type, Location) 4. Customizable: Reports, views, and records, are all customizable in the during the implementation process Cons The software could benefit from having the ability/feature to capture Financing Subleases and accounting for IFRS purposes as well. We scheduled several meetings and they were willing to go above and beyond to help with any questions we had during implementation and Go-Live. Pros NetLease was easy to set up. There are upload templates to import when you are implementing the software so you do not have to enter them manually. You can also use the template to upload new leases in the future if you have a lot of leases. The software is very user friendly. Amortization schedules are easily accessible. The reporting feature is great. The software pretty much does everything for you related to your leases. It is very easy to use and learn. You will not need to do any manual entries with this lease software. Everything is automated. You can even automate your vendor bills/payments. There are so many other features that everyone can take advantage of depending on your own setup/goals. Cons I haven't found any cons yet. The entire system seems very user friendly and straight forward to use. Reason for choosing NetLease We chose NetLease over other products because it met all of our needs and the module was built into our accounting software already (NetSuite) and we wouldn't need a stand alone software. The consultant we worked with, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\], was extremely knowledgeable about the NetLease product, Netsuite itself, which can be a sticky point with implementation groups, and the lease codification. These factors lead to an easy and comfortable transition for our accounting department to Topic 842 for both operating and finance leases. Pros \- Adding, modifying and terminating leases is easy - Monthly amortization of ROU assets and interest expense from lease liabilities are easy to record thanks to their monthly journal process - Easy to approve and review - Cons \- None. We have not encountered any cons associated with this product or support of it.
