\- I follow the founder on LinkedIn — you get this sense that there are authentic, caring people behind the product. You can book a free demo and have someone from the team walk through using the product and answer any questions you have. - The Speak team has been rolling out lots and lots of cool features, so the product really is evolving and they are very much listening to user feedback.

Pros

There are many things about Speak AI that I've found useful: - Ability to record meetings or upload existing videos — the latter is really important as I've also used other meeting recorders so it's important that I can upload a video after the meeting already took place using a different recorder. - Security — it was important to me that I could guarantee high level of security to my meeting participants, who are often clients and whose IP I have a duty to protect when hosting my calls - ChatGPT-like AI that lets me ask questions about my calls and create things like tables, lists, etc., based on prompts that I give it. I've used Speak AI for some customer research and analysis — like listing out customer problems and pain points, benefits, outcomes, sentiment analysis, etc. I like that I can ask it to give me timestamps and verbatim quote snippets as support or evidence for the output it gives me. I've been able to copy-paste tables and lists straight into my client-facing reports - I like the ability to assign speaker names or keep it anonymous. I can also then select/isolate which speaker I want to be included in the AI analysis so I'm not needlessly adding my own verbiage as the interviewer. - They also have really good onboarding and support and demos. Really fine, approachable, helpful team behind the product, and they really care about their users and customers. - While multiple languages hasn't been important in my use case, I know that the many supported languages really sets Speak apart.

Cons

\- I tried both a monthly plan and a pay-as-you-go plan. For pay-as-you-go, I just wish AI credit usage was more predictable. I wasn't able to see how much a certain prompt was going to chew up. - The interface has changed, but I don't like new version, nor did I like the old version. I feel like the UI could use some more contrast and a more premium look for what you pay. When you're working inside the dashboard, it feels a bit rugged and rough around the edges. Could definitely use a good product designer's eye for UX/UI best practices and a more branded feel.
