## What is EAM360?

EAM360 is Sedin's Proprietary Native Mobile Application for IBM Maximo. EAM360 interacts with IBMs Maximo application system in both real-time (connected) as well as offline (disconnected) modes. The key process that are addressed by this app are: Generating and managing Work Order and Service Requests, Perform Inventory & purchasing related transactions and View/Manage/Approve Purchase Orders, Purchase Requests and Invoices

Our plant is a subsidiary of one of the largest edible oil refineries in the world. Initially, We used paper forms to manage the maintenance activities. Then, we engaged the EAM360 team to implement the Maximo solution to do it digitally, and we have been using it successfully for the past 6+ years. The application's user-friendly features, along with the implementation team's knowledge and professionalism, were evident from the demo through the selection process which was our reason for choosing EAM360.

Pros

The application is highly configurable, allowing us to fulfill all our requirements and implement necessary validations easily. The application improved our operations and maintenance efficiency by offering clear visibility into maintenance metrics, helping us identify key focus areas. It enabled our engineers to update material usage, labor time, logs, and root cause details directly in the application with ease, eliminating the need to enter them on paper first. The application is implemented with validations to ensure that work permits are obtained before work commences, contributing to improved safety, a critical aspect of our operations and maintenance. The expertise, responsiveness, and professionalism of the EAM360 team have significantly contributed to our smooth and efficient implementation. They have also effectively supported the solution for the past five years, addressing process changes and other requirements. We are happy with their services and highly recommend them.

Cons

As of now we are quite happy with EAM360 and have no specific cons about the solutions to point out.

Pros

The tool is user friendly and this can be operated with last level technician as well. This is also customizable.

Cons

Nothing major which can be said as needs improvement in EAM360

Pros

Field technicians find it easy to view their work schedule. They are able to capture all important information related to the jobs. Using EAM360 has been beneficial to our company in completing all our preventative maintenance tasks.

Cons

When technicians' loss internet connection or the phone goes to low battery mode some of the information doesn't sync right away. Once the technicians reconnect some data gets stuck in the que. There have been improvements since we started using EAM360 but there are still a few occasions where the data doesn't sync.

EAM360 has proven to be effective for field crews performing work. Our distribution crews, meter technicians, maintenance technicians, and project inspectors are all successfully using the software for work management. Additionally our storekeepers are using the Storekeeper app to receive stock, perform cycle counts, issue parts, and stage reserved parts for projects.

Pros

This is a fully featured mobile solution purpose built for use with Maximo. It does a great job of transferring the functionality of Maximo into a mobile form factor and easy to use UI. The company has been great to work with and goes above and beyond to make the implementation successful.Our use of beacons has been minimal at this point, but the results have been very positive. It is a good way to leverage additional technology to help field crews - no more searching for the right asset for a WO, the beacon shows them what they are near to help ensure the right asset ends up on the WO.

Cons

Data synchronization between Maximo and the various mobile apps can be a challenge. The technology works, but it takes a lot of effort to think through exactly what data needs to move with what frequency. Their OOB approach did not work well for us at the start. We had to fine tune things to increase the frequency of certain data syncs while balancing overall system performance.

Reasons for choosing EAM360

Flexibility to meet our needs. They aren't just an off the shelf product, but rather can configure to meet specific needs. They were also very willing to work with us to understand those needs.

EAM360 helps to simplify the Maximo experience. The app has many great features to help the Technician and engineers in the field to update the work details and also managers to provide approvals from their mobile devices.

Pros

Real-time work order notifications, quick access to work instruction, and easy-to-use UIs for work order updates & approvals as per Maximo workflows

Cons

More than the app, the real challenge for us was to convince our field crew to use their device to use the application as per our BYOD policy.

As mentioned above, the app accounts for our main mobile inventory functions of receiving, issuing/transferring, and cycle counting Items. We have benefited from being able to perform these functions in real-time. Also, the developer is customer-focused and immediately acts upon issue resolution and enhancement requests.

Pros

The Implementation of EAM360 Storekeeper within our organization was fairly easy because we were actively using EAM360 Technician, so the architecture was already in place. The app is extremely user friendly - available actions are displayed on a clean interface and users are able to easily select the action that needs performed. The app accounts for our main mobile inventory functions of receiving, issuing/transferring, and cycle counting Items. The developer is customer-focused and immediately acts upon issue resolution and enhancement requests.

Cons

We have experienced issues with data syncs/updates, however that has been addressed in a recent release via new Sync Data options and seems to be working well for our users.

EAM360 best met our requirements and the product offered modern technology and a clean interface. Additionally, the Sedin team was responsive, easy to work with, and had a vested interest in our success.
