Pros I love the features of Cura more than the other slicer programs for 3D Printing. The settings are easy to understand and easy to set up a machine in the software. Cons I don't have anything negative to add about Ultimaker Cura, it works well for my uses. The only thing I wish they would add is the ability to cut larger models and add alignment pegs. Cura però mi ha aiutato davvero a realizzare, fin da subito, delle piccole ma importanti creazioni grazie ad una semplicità ed efficacia fantastiche. Cons Ahimè purtroppo spesso, nell'elaborare i tracciati o mandare i comandi alla stampante fa qualche errore che va a pregiudicare la qualità di stampa ma nulla che non sia abbastanza risolvibile grazie ai giusti settaggi. December 2, 2022 4.0 This was the first slicer I got started with when I began 3d printing and I have not had a reason to change it till date. The software is quite understandable and easy to navigate. Pros This slicer has the option of so many different printers so you can easily select the one you have and it comes with a pre made setup. You can edit the setup and save the settings as a new one to be your default settings like the one we used at the office. The free version is fully functional and works fast and smoothly. You have access to a lot of features even for the free version. Pros I use Ultimaker Cura since almost six years, after the new Ultimaker Cura Enterprise-Software was released I quickly integrated the software into my company workflow. The software works best if you work in a bigger team where a lot of people use your 3D-Printers. You can manage the printers from a lot of different platforms and devices, which helps staying up-to-date with the printing process. Cons Ultimaker Cura Enterprise had some problems connecting to my machines which the "normal" Ultimaker Cura had not, but the problem was fixed after a complete reinstallation of the software. Pros The software is easy to use, doesn't have un-needed fluff and works with all common formats of 3D file. Cons I didn't experience any issues using Cura, it did what it said it would. It could maybe be a bit prettier to look at. Whith Cura we can prepare and print almost every kind of models. Pros Ultimakers Cura knows every 3D printers - in fact better than the manufacturer. The model slicing is scalable and before printing you will know the printing time and the filament requirements (length, weight). Cura can plan many kind of addhesion plates for the printing, too. Cons Sometimes, when printing via a USB connection, the printer settings and drivers are not available. When you start printing, the software heats the bed first, and when it reaches the target temperature, it starts heating the extruder. Pros This software does not have a steep learning curve and is easy to use. Still it has a lot of options for advanced users. There is a nice plugin library Cons It is quite a heavy software install. It is a great start for unexperienced users and provide good quality of the generated G-Code. I found support material to be placed better than in the other slicers. Main drawback for me was relatively high demand on PC performance, but with modern computers this shouldn't be an issue. Pros Easy to use. Great visualization of the 3D print.
