For professional purpose it is very hard to use browser only for email checking. After using KIWI i can use multiple email account at a single time by professional way. They continuously increase their support by providing other software access, Now i can directly use Grammarly and Zoom via desktop app also. Pros Easy to setup and use, for Professional use sometimes I need several email account, Kiwi gives me chance to use several email at same time without having browser. One thing I wish Kiwi might do is prompt the user that a new email has arrived by altering the icon in the taskbar. Overall, I quite enjoy the software. Pros It's simple and straightforward. It doesn't add any excessive functionality and is focused on just providing my Gmail as a program. Cons I often wish "pages" would open in either some form of tab or in the browser window. For example, opening a calendar link prompts a new Kiwi window. This means Kiwi now has multiple screens in my Windows taskbar making making switching back and forth somewhat cumbersome. Also, the new screen doesn't respect any size requirements I've provided to other windows. If it were to open in a browser, it'd automatically go full screen and respect my browser setup. If it were to open as a tab in Kiwi, it'd respect whatever size that is currently set to. As it is now, it just opens in some arbitrary size that I then have to enlarge and deal with as a seperate application. It's been an always-open app on my computer. Pros It's very easy to add your email accounts in Kiwi and get started. I love having all my Google suite programs available in one place, especially my calendar and Google Docs. The focus features have also helped me stay on top of time-sensitive emails, emails with important documents, etc. Cons I wish that I could use the multiple inboxes/panels feature in Gmail to follow the Inbox Zero workflow to further manage my email organization. Not only with respect to managing email accounts themselves within one interface but also given the ability to launch Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, etc., apps and managing them directly within the Kiwi interface. It makes managing a Gmail or Google Workspace account feel like using an integrated office suite. Seemless. Cons The only thing I'd wish for is increased integration with third-party Chrome extensions which can further optimize the experience. They've added Grammarly with the latest release (which is great) but I'd love to see the inclusion of \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] excellent Simplify extension \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] for example. Pros Having a standalone app that my Mac can use as the default mail app is great. I can have multiple accounts open at once, and even jump straight to my Google Drive files. Cons The only thing I dislike about the software is the embossed/indented text showing the account name at the top of the app. A way to ONLY show notifications from the primary inbox would be great - I don't need notifications for promo emails. A quick way to access a dark mode, without using Gmail Themes would be great. Having the option to use more standard shortcuts would be great eg: use the delete key to delete emails. The Gmail shortcuts are horrible. Reason for choosing Kiwi for Gmail Kiwi is the only option that uses all the Gmail features, with some added extra, and being a default option for the Mac. It’s the best Pros I love that I can keep several accounts in just one app, including my personal email accounts. My only gripe is the resource issues that come up from time to time. Pros The feature that I use the most is the multiple email accounts. I am constantly switching between them daily. The window popup feature is nice as well. Cons Performance issues. I have tried on multiple computers and seem to have the same issues in the end. I am in IT so I understand bloatware, memory, processors, etc. This could be the only application running and it would just eat up the processor and memory at times to a point where I have to wait to use it. It's not the computer this happens to every computer I use. I really need the capability to move between my email accounts daily so I just deal with it. I have found that when an update is released it usually works well for a bit then goes back to being a resource hog again. However, after the latest update the problem is gone and now runs smoothly and responds quite quickly to all actions. Pros I like how it recollects all emails in one single app and how rather than mixing everything it easily still keeps it separate based on the address the messages go to. It's very user friendly and perfect for businesses. Cons It does make computers significantly slower and there is not much support or information on how to improve it's functionality online. For that reason, given that one is O365 and the other one is GSuite, Kiwi fit the bill by letting me keep the GSuite e-mail apart. Feature-wise, it offers all functionality of the web-based GSuite, but operates as an independent app. It has been reliable, with no crashes, and allows me to keep out of the browser. If I was using that to remind myself of something, it can then slip my mind. 3. \[IMPORTANT\] Calendar reminders have completely stopped working. I now longer get a pop up reminding me. This, along with email, are the two main things I need to work for this app. I've reported it, and there is no timeframe to fix this. It was exactly what I needed as I have mail and calendar in a single frame independent of my browser. Integrates to Zoom. The real benefits came when I upgraded to G-Suite which allows me to access Google based content (docs, sheets, drives) from one client. Been using it since Oct of 2019 and never looked back. Pros 1) Gives centralized email/calendar frame ( company currently uses Gmail). 2) Access to google drives, docs, sheets ...etc. without burning yet another browser tab/window Cons Wish for more ways to custom categorize mail to specific groupings similar to more standard email clients.
