Pros As a long time MS Office user I found the switch to G suite painful when the last company I worked for moved us over in 2017. Fortunately I found Kiwi which actually makes the Google apps work together and feel like a suite. The email interface is also a vast improvement. May 4, 2021 4.0 I love this product and recommend it to anyone who cares to listen, and I swear by it to anyone who won't. Pros As someone who spends a lot of time answering emails, then having to set up a calendar invite/schedule meetings, KIWI Mail has been a real game-changer. Now admittedly, I use the free version because I only really use it with my school account on my district-issued computer. Anyone who has used a Macbook knows that your RAM gets bogged down when multiple windows are open, especially in CHrome. And since our Ed Suite is all web-based, you need multiple tabs open to get things done. KIWI optimizes all of that running those other functions (other than email) as an app instead of through the browser certainly has sped things up for me. Also, its functionality and efficiency at having what I need available to me without having to open tabs and navigate through something has been huge. Cons If I had one request it would be to add a Google Classroom launch from the app. I couldn't find an add-on. That is the only thing missing from my type of use. Thank you for an awesome product. It's nothing more than that though. Cons Kiwi charged users for Core Access in which they promised users full lifetime access to the software. Recently they "upgraded" the software and disabled all user accounts. This despite not adequately warning users of the change. The functionality of having separate windows also allow you to quickly switch from one Google Workspace app to the next, without having a whole list of chrome tabs open and guessing which one you need. Pros Having seperate windows instead of tabs is really helpful. Also all your accounts are in one overview and you don't have any difficulty with signing into several accounts (like personalised business email, sales inbox and private) and you can colour code your accounts to distinguish which one you are working in. The integration with Boomerang is just as good as in your browser. Cons It's a great app, but I miss the Chrome Lightning Inbox extension for Salesforce, by Salesforce. Review Source ZR Zane R. September 15, 2022 5.0 Pros I had long wanted a program that would allow me to check multiple email accounts from a single source. Kiwi was exactly what I needed to move seamlessly between the three email accounts that I manage. It's just an answered prayer. Cons I have noted nothing that I would consider a con in this program. I like the ability to quickly switch between services (calendar, email, docs, etc) Cons Copy & Paste without formatting doesn't seem to work. I wish calendar would just open the same window instead of a new window every time. Some links should actually open in the web (for instance data studio reports) rather than in their web viewer. Pros Kiwi allows me to keep an eye on my multiple Google Suite accounts with ease. It never feels anything less than full-featured, and with nine email accounts currently linked to it, I never feel as though it's slowing down my computer. Cons I can honestly say there isn't anything I dislike about it. It does exactly what it says on the tin and that's exactly what I needed. When my company moved us over to G Suite, I struggled for more than a year trying to settle in with G Suite in a browser. Within a month after moving over to Kiwi for G Suite my day to day efficiency sky rocketed. Kiwi for G Suite does exactly what a ChromeBook does, it separates the internet browser. Pros Working out of a browser to compose emails, spreadsheets, documents and slides is not intuitive or conducive to productive work flow. Kiwi for G Suite puts all where they belong; out of the internet browser. If you are working from macOS, the Kiwi interface feels native to the Apple experience. Cons The only thing lacking is a way to launch Google documents from the native OS browser into Kiwi for G Suite. Review Source MM Marco M. Gmail doesn't have a native app to see them all on my mac and it bogs Chrome down to have it all open. With Kiwi, all my accounts are accessible, my most used google docs are accessible, and none of it affects Chrome Pros All my five gmail accounts are in one program and not bogging down Chrome. Pros Most impressive feature is that Kiwi allows me to take my Gmail out of my browser tab and switch between all email accounts on one desktop based app. Since Kiwi has the same outlook as Gmail app, it is much easier to use because you don't have to learn new ways when dealing with it. This bug has been present for several months now, and is unacceptable. Pros Its basically the same as google suite, but a stand alone app. Does what it needs to. Cons 1\. Nothing net new is added that I can't do from the web-based g suite. 2. Email draft windows will randomly close out. If I was using that to remind myself of something, it can then slip my mind. 3. \[IMPORTANT\] Calendar reminders have completely stopped working. I now longer get a pop up reminding me. Pros I really enjoy how it puts everything I do in its own window. This makes using multiple monitors easier as I don't have to try and pull tabs into their own windows all the time. Also, Kiwi does utilize resources better. Google Chrome is not efficient in how it uses my compute resources, but Kiwi does a bit better job of it. Lastly, being able to have multiple accounts in 1 application is very much preferred. Cons There are a few functions (mostly right-click) that are available in Google Chrome GSuite that are not available yet in Kiwi. But that is about all I can think of...... Review Source cD chris D. data architect Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "kiwi g-suite" January 21, 2021 4.0 When first joining the company used up a lot of browser tabs trying to keep up with Gmail/Calendar ...etc. Found Kiwi after trying several email clients (outlook, thunderbird ...etc.). It was exactly what I needed as I have mail and calendar in a single frame independent of my browser. Integrates to Zoom. The real benefits came when I upgraded to G-Suite which allows me to access Google based content (docs, sheets, drives) from one client. Been using it since Oct of 2019 and never looked back. Pros 1) Gives centralized email/calendar frame ( company currently uses Gmail). 2) Access to google drives, docs, sheets ...etc. without burning yet another browser tab/window Cons Wish for more ways to custom categorize mail to specific groupings similar to more standard email clients. Cleaner synchronization with OS notifications ( in my case Win 10). Pros It gives me "regular" desktop access to tools I use daily. Easy to access all features in Google Workspace Can list several accounts in similar fashion, all in one place. January 21, 2021 4.0 Kiwi promised 3rd party support for features and support; however, that promise is mostly unfulfilled. Still waiting! Otherwise, I really do like the interface. It's clean and easy to use. Pros Standalone Gmail client that is easy to navigate. Cons Better support for chrome extensions. For my work account, we use either the Salesforce Gmail plugin for the Cirrus Insight plugin. We use it to track updates to opportunities in Salesforce and track emails sent.
