Kiwi is allowing me to streamline my work activities by having everything in one place. And I love how well it integrates with Google functionality.

Pros

I loved that this software puts everything at my fingertips - my docs, calendar, drive, etc., and allows me to have my email docked separately from chrome. I appreciate order and having my computer tidy. So, Kiwi allows me to have both my personal and work email up at all times even if I don't want to use chrome, and I don't need to have that many more tabs open to keep an eye on my email. I can look at everything easily without bouncing around from tab to tab. It's fabulous.

Cons

The biggest issues I've had so far is not being able to download files that are attached to emails. I can add them to my drive, but not download. Some files are specific to my Mac and can't be opened by drive. The only way around this is to access my email in chrome and download from there, which kind of defeats the purpose of having Kiwi in the first place.

### "Quick, Simple, and Organized"

Since getting Kiwi, I have noticed I spend a lot less time navigating through various browser windows to filter through and keep up on all of my emails and calendar events. Kiwi has made it so easy for me to see everything in one spot and does a great job and keeping everything organized, but not completely changing the Gmail that I am used to.

Pros

Kiwi made it very easy for me to organize all of my email accounts, of which I have several, in one spot. It is very simple for me to bounce between accounts, access various applications within each account, and keep track of all of my correspondence in one spot. I love that it creates a new window for things such as my Google Drive, Calendar, and even composing individual emails. This makes it much easier for me to bounce around without losing my work.

Cons

The feature that allows me to share I file directly through Kiwi worked great for the first few weeks but stopped working shortly after. It is definitely a feature that I used heavily and would love to get working again.

Kiwi does absolutely everything it says it does: provides the browser experience but in an application format. That said, it's essentially a browser extension and some shortcuts in a shiny package. So the question is whether it's necessary. It certainly can help focus and keeps things outside of a browser tab, I can't imagine spending money on it.

Pros

It's fast and works just like the browser version (more on that later) but helps focus the user by keeping the mail and google drive applications out of the browser

Cons

When using gmail in the browser, when I download a file I can quickly click on the downloads icon and click to open the folder where the file was just saved. I had no idea how often I used that feature or loved that feature until it was gone (or at least I can't figure out how to use it in Kiwi).

Reason for choosing Kiwi for Gmail

It does help keep focus, so that's nice.

Overall been great, happy to be using it

Pros

Love having a separate application for G Suite! It's quick, easy, haven't had much of any downtime. No major complaints with the program.

Cons

It would be great to have the ability to launch G Suite apps as a native Mac Desktop App. I download spreadsheets often and need to upload them to Kiwi then open G Sheets. I would love the ability to open the document straight to G Suite from my desktop

I have recently deleted the program because my company email connects through outlook and there is no way to add that account to Kiwi. I saw no reason to use two email clients so I am using outlook for both.

Hassle-free account setup and same UI as one would see on gmail.com. I use it as my main email reader to juggle between 5 accounts.

Cons

I wish it could integrate with the macOS Keychain so I don't have to type in the passwords when I have to log in again.

Pros

I use it for everyday emails. I like the bright interface and that it’s uncomplicated. Categories are useful and incoming emails get sorted just as they should.

Cons

Limits the size of some large files I try to forward.

Pros

I have been incredibly happy with this product. When our company switched to the Google Platform away from Outlook I was worried about losing a mail client application, and Kiwi has made the transition so easy. I love all of the features as well as having multiple accounts through one client. The additional features including creating new documents, access to the drives, and more have been so incredibly helpful

Cons

I have had some issues with glitches, like the program quitting all of a sudden, but overall, have been incredibly pleased with this software.

Pros

Coming from the MSFT world, I did like the separate application for the productivity suite. Having easy access to the entire G-Suite is nice as well.

Cons

It just felt like G-Suite in a new window. I was looking for more of an Outlook or Mail feel to the application. We chose a different option for that specific reason and can manage my calendar in a browser for now (until that is fully integrated).

Getting used to it. I switched from apple mail because apple mail was frequently not syncing with gmail. I never have any problems with Kiwi syncing with gmail.

Pros

I like that it is an app rather than having to keep a browser open. The account set up was straightforward. I like having the calendar and todo list included in the app.

Cons

It only works for gmail accounts. I can't play audio files from the app. I have to go to the web page. You have to switch to different tabs for each gmail account. They are not integrated into a single inbox. Some addon features are not available unless you have a different type of account. These features are available if you use the browser. Example: Virtru. There is a several second delay when I compose and email. Often I start typing and then I have to wait or delete the address because the keystrokes were missed. It is only a few seconds but it is irritating when I am trying to get things done.

I really enjoyed it and my wife did as well.

Pros

I really like my email client being a desktop application. It has been my experience that a dedicated application will always outperform what can be squeezed into a webpage. I loved getting out of the browser which was always filled with too many tabs of info when I am research topics. Email, Contacts, and Calendar always were neat, clean and accessible. The user interface makes it much easier to find what you need. The offline functionality is most important. I can download all my mail before a flight and work all flight long on responses and composing new mails that need to go out. This platform is awesome!

Cons

I think this would be great for all other email POPs as well. I would love having my old AOL address on this or my comcast address. My company moved us to outlook so until I find myself on another gmail world I am on a hiatus from Kiwi.

Kiwi was a breeze to install, added my 3 different Gmail accounts with minimal time to set up. I used different theming so that I can easily see which account I am in. It really does just make checking my email from my computer and interacting with any other Google apps super simple.

Pros

Love how seamless it is with Gmail and the G-Suite products. It has completely changed the way I interact with Google.

Cons

I wish it had the functionality that Gmail does where you can click the back button on your mouse to go back to your inbox from the email you had open...but this is only a minor thing.

Being able to alt-tab directly to my Google Mail and Calendar no matter how many browser windows and tabs I have open is super valuable. Kiwi achieves that, it supports a lot of other Google services as well and it looks nice.

Pros

Kiwi beats the standard mail and calendar client in macOS by miles in ease of use and integration with other Google services like Docs or Keep.

Cons

Sometimes I want a Doc open in the browser, because I am sharing the browser in an online conference. It would be nice to get a button "Open in browser" in the side panel.

I had a very productive and positive experience using this product.

Pros

What I like most is that applications like Docs and Sheets and Mail open in separate windows unlike Chrome. Also the user interface has been customized to be more visually appealing when used for many hours per day.

Cons

One item that is missing is ability to open native applications like powerpoint and excel on google drive files from within Kiwi. There is an extension in Chrome that does that but it does not work in Kiwi product.

I was able to use my gmail account the way i needed to and integrate some of the applications that I use daily.

Pros

Kiwi mimicked a lot of the features of gmail and also added the additional features with the click of a button making it a lot more user friendly. Also, being able to integrate other applications giving additional options all in one place.

Cons

Honestly, I haven't really found anything that i didn't like ...yet.

Reason for choosing Kiwi for Gmail

I don't recall. Since I knew what features I was looking for and I did some research on others, i probably downloaded it just long enough to know it was not what i was looking for. Kiwi was recommended on several sites as the best app to use for gmail.

Overall a very decent experience. It is helpful and seems to be worth the price. I would probably not have gone for it if it was more expensive.

Pros

I like that I can bounce between all my gmail accounts in the same window with the tab view at the top of the window. Super easy to stay on top of al accounts

Cons

I wish the calendar and drive windows would have multiple accounts that you can select at the top the same way the email window works. Instead, I have to have multiple calendar windows open simultaneously and it clutters up my desktop - would be better to have 1 window for all my email accounts and 1 window for all my calendars etc. Also - when I attach a file to an email, it doesn't always show that the file is attached - I have to go to the sent folder afterward to confirm that the file was, indeed, attached to the email.

Being able to easily toggle between contexts is wonderful. I have multiple jobs, personal accounts, and monitor several accounts, and clicking icons to change contexts is a life saver.

I wish it had a birds eye view showing all calendars in one view.
