Working with GoTab has been refreshing. While a smaller company, they have provided me tremendous support and have been very responsive to our feedback and suggestions for improvement.

Pros

GoTab’s point-of-sale (POS), kitchen display system (KDS) and entire restaurant commerce platform helps us server our guests better and run our business more profitably than ever. Instead of requiring us to purchase or lease proprietary hardware on a single operating system, we have the flexibility to run everything in a Windows environment with the hardware we choose.

Cons

It’s still a developmental platform and the hardware can be better. With that said, they have continuously improved the system, the functionality, and listen to feedback.

My overall experience with GoTab POS has been exceptional from start to finish. The entire journey—from the sales team to onboarding to our day‑to‑day support—has been smooth, responsive, and genuinely helpful. As a business operating a café, bar, and restaurant under one roof, we needed a system that could support our one‑stop model, and GoTab has consistently delivered. What really stood out was how reliable the support team has been, especially during our busiest and most high‑pressure events. Whether it was our New Year’s Eve special menu, Valentine’s Day service, Easter and Mother’s Day buffets, or our wine‑pairing dinners, GoTab was right there with us. Anytime we needed help, even after hours, we were able to call and get live support immediately. That level of responsiveness gave us confidence during major events when flawless execution matters most. Overall, GoTab has helped us streamline operations, improve communication across all departments, and create a better experience for both staff and guests. It’s been a true partner in helping us launch and grow successfully.

What I liked most about GoTab POS is how intuitive, flexible, and truly all‑in‑one it is. We run a café, bar, and restaurant under one roof, and GoTab fits that one‑stop model perfectly. Instead of juggling multiple systems or workarounds, everything—from counter‑service coffee orders to full‑service dining to bar tabs—flows through a single platform. Cons

If I had to choose something I liked least about GoTab POS, it would be the initial learning curve. Because the system is so flexible and customizable, it took us a little time to fine‑tune everything for our café, bar, and restaurant setup. But the great part is that whenever we needed help—whether during the day or after hours—we were able to call and get live support right away. That level of responsiveness made the setup process much smoother and gave us confidence that we were never on our own.

### "Stay away from GoTab if you work with UberEats, DoorDash, GrubHub etc…"

One of the worst experience in my 40 years carrer, I have worked with so many pos system, anyway if you are integrated with UberEats, DoorDash etc… do not switch to GoTab they incapable of switching accounts over. We have been planning this for several months and a week later it’s still not working at 100% We lost a week of sales out of cloud kitchen, without counting the complaints, cancelled orders, bad reviews and unnecessary stress, the switch was a big mistake, go with the pros instead like Toast or Square even if it’s a bit more expensive. It’s obvious they are inexperienced, they cannot onboard a menu and pictures for you, be prepared to do it yourself and good luck! We know more then what they do now going through this process, how many of you know that GrubHub only accept changes in integrations on Tuesdays only? How many of you knew that DoorDash needs 5 days to unlink from previous integration in order to accept (Stream) their integration partner? Nobody of course unless you are in that particular line of business, this is why my conclusion is they are all clueless, not trained properly, not professionals. The las thing I will point out is the way the tickets are printing are a big mess, they are crowded, font is too big, they are unreadable, the name of the guest is hidden in the middle of so much unnecessary wording, when I asked if they could clean the way the tickets look like I was told by a \[sensitive content hidden\] this will be up the development team and could take month, meaning nothing will change. I wish I could post pictures here but if anyone wants pictures feel free to contact me, this is the most ridiculous thing I have seen in my career! This is my story, they failed us miserably and nobody can fix issues, we learned everything the hard way, hopefully this will help someone out there.

The Epson printers, the graphics on the screen, not bad colors

Inexperienced GoTab team, cannot onboard new accounts, lack of knowledge on how to takeover an existing account, they are only good for new accounts not integrated with 3rd delivery platforms.

We have been working with GoTab for over 2 years. Just like any POS system it has its kinks but overall I've been very happy with it's functionality. The QR Ordering system is the best on the market currently, especially for a 28,000sqft building like ours.

Pros

The customer support is one of the best I have experienced in my 25 years in the business. The Manager portal is easy and intuitive as well.

Cons

Their cash handling procedures can be cumbersome and confusing depending on what type of business you are running. Fortunately 99% of our transactions are credit card or tap to pay.

Pros

I really like the manager app and ease of use from my personal devices. Customer support has also been great and the team is very responsive.

Cons

There’s a couple reporting things I would like some improvements on but that is more specific to our needs and revenue streams.

Cons

It would function better for restaurant groups if it had a better enterprise platform with BIN numbers to that I could promote and publish items across the entire group far easier.

Overall I would highly recommend GoTab to anyone looking for high quality customer services, great integrations, and a company that is always updating and evolving their system to work the best that it can for their customers. Our account manager Owen is easy to reach and quick to respond; it feels like they are part of your team.

Pros

Excellent customer service and assistance getting the most out of the product. Integrations that work seamlessly. The ability to communicate easily with customers through features like notices.

Cons

A few processes are bulky, such as creating discount codes known as a cart rules in the system. I wish the reporting functionality was a little bit more robust as well, but there are workarounds for that.

Overall I give GoTab a 5 star rating. Great customer service and great product. Naturally when installing a system for 631 seats you will have some bugs, but they killed them all and suddenly!

Pros

The POS is so much easier for our staff to use, and GoTab really helped us with the cost of the conversion from our previous POS. The Onboarding staff, \[sensitive content hidden\]was always available for every question and even called to check on us when we didn't ask for help. That is highly unusual in this POS market. And we love our handhelds that are about the size of an Iphone!

Cons

Switching systems while in business is always hard. But GoTab really scheduled it seamlessly - we were up and running just as they said we would be.

We have established a strong partnership thus far. The GoTab team is easy to work with and clearly committed to building a great product for operators.

Pros

While I have not yet been a direct user of GoTab, all demos and feature reviews we have conducted have yielded great results. They have a strong solution on their hands. What stands out most is how seamless the experience is for operators, particularly in the back of house. The ability to mark items out of stock directly from the kitchen or communicate with customers in real time is a true game changer.

Cons

Nothing to note so far, as we have not yet had direct hands-on usage. That said, based on everything we have seen, the POS appears to be feature rich, with no gaps identified at this time.

Pros

GoTab is highly customizable to suit individual business needs. Depending on staffing levels or events for the day, we can tailor GoTab operations to fit our needs very easily. Unlike most other POS systems, GoTab encourages integrations to make operations streamlined for the business. Their customer service is best in class and they listen to their customers needs/wants. They are constantly innovating and fine tuning features on the POS to meet the business needs of their customers and push the envelope of what a POS has traditionally done.

Cons

Our biggest challenge is defining and executing a hybrid service model where we can merge traditional service and guest facing QR ordering on their mobile devices. With the release of Easy Tab, it will make it that much smoother for both the servers and the guests to embrace the hybrid service model.

I like the versatility of being able to have guests and/or employees access tabs as well as being able to have access to most manager functionality through my cell phone. I like the ease of being able to add/modify/disable items as well as the ability for guests to message any needs or questions through the concierge feature.

Cons

My biggest challenge is that with the POS system and/or as a user you are still unable to course items.

I have not used it as much, but so far it has been easy.

Pros

I have been using GoTab since about 2016. This product has come a long way with functionality and ease of use since then. I love how customizable and easy it has become. This product makes it so easy to book events for large groups, take orders through a server, or to have a tab for an individual. There is so much you can do with it.

Cons

I wish we could duplicate products a little easier. Making sure the same items are the same description/photo/etc. can be difficult with a large team. I also hope there is a functionality for weekly report summaries for locations or multiple. Better reporting to break down each category would be nice to have automated as well. (i.e. merchandise inventory/sales of each item across locations/etc.)

As a young software company there are occasional glitches in GoTab software but the GoTab team is quick to respond to and solve any issue that arises. We have never seen customer support at this level in any other software product.

Pros

GoTab allows each guest to have their own POS therefore creating a dramatic increase in revenue potential. GoTab software also has a lot of flexibility built into the product which allows my creative team to build out new revenue streams and pull in a broader market without adding to the complexity of multiple POSs.

Cons

There is a learning curve for our guests.

Pros

The support teams are very helpful and timely. Menu Management and reporting are easy to obtain and read. Overall, a great system to use for a multi operator food hall.

Cons

The printer connections require and onboarding specialist to connect them all. This becomes an issue if they are not available during a busy shift. Just requires some planning. The layout of the ordering platform for 20+ restaurants in one place is a little challenging.

Go Tab was is very user friendly. We did not have a background in the food service industry but we able to quickly use the system. We set up various menus, figured out were orders would be displayed, mapped out tables and set up accounting software. The POS is easy to figure out when something new pops up and we can figure it out without calling support for help.

Pros

Very easy to set up the system with GoTab virtual assistance. I'm not a technical person but had no problems with the set up. The on going customer service was excellent and our rep \[sensitive content hidden\] would reach out on her own to make sure things were working and if we had questions. The daily and weekly recaps are quick easy messages to cover in the morning.

Cons

The virtual system set up and training was great but I think in person training is always more helpful.

If you're heavily leveraged toward food, there are some more robust options out there. Mostly a negative for full service restaurants who sell little alcohol

Breweries that balance alcohol, food, events, and guest experience often find GoTab uniquely well suited to their needs.

I wasn't a huge fan at first, mostly because the system felt over complicated and a bit messy, and we experienced a lot of small issues that didn't have a great solve. But getting a dedicated GoTab rep has made all the difference. Shout out to \[sensitive content hidden\]!

Pros

The GoTab team is always open to diving into the issues we experience and helps create solves based on what we need.

Cons

sometimes the user workflow can be clunky or overcomplicated - for example: user set up on the manager dashboard takes multiple steps to provide the correct permissions and house account access.

Pros

Easy to use, increasing F&B revenue while enabling service personnel to focus on the customer experience

Cons

Needs more integration with major brands but other than that a really great opportunity for the industry
