This has been a decent product. It does require hovering over employees to make sure that they are consistent and deliberate with their time punches.

Pros

It IS very user friendly, and easy to use.

Cons

It is So frustrating to not be able to make edits to incorrect time punches without being required to submit a service ticket.

Our overall experience with has been positive. It’s a powerful system that keeps everything organized and makes it easy for employees to clock in and out and manage time-off requests. That said, it can feel a bit complex for a small business at first, but once you get familiar with it, it becomes a reliable tool that helps keep scheduling and payroll running smoothly.

Pros

It’s easy for everyone to clock in and out, and it makes it simple to update any days off they may need without confusion or delays.

Cons

It’s almost too complex for our small business, but we make it work and appreciate how it helps keep everything organized once you get the hang of it.

I have not had good experiences with TCP. This is why our company is looking to switch, looking for a product that supports their customers. Something more user friendly.

Pros

I have not found any pro's to Time Clock Plus. I have found that customer service will provide different answers to the same question.

Cons

Everything starting with customer support or lack thereof. TCP is not user friendly. There are options set up in the system that does not work. Example, there is a box you can check that would remove occurrence points at 90 days, but it doesn't work. I have asked customer support and they agreed this is not a valid option.

Our overall experience with TCP has been good. The program works well for our district. We will continue to use TCP for the foreseeable future.

Pros

We like the versatility of the product. Our employees can clock in and out from kiosk, physical clocks, and through mobile.

Cons

I am not sure what we really don't like about the product. It is not fully integrated with our FIS, so we would probable like that.

Always willing to help - tries hard to find a way to make TCP work for you and your district. We've been with TCP for right at 15 years - so we've seen the company grow and expand....always striving for excellence for their customers. We consider ourselves part of the Friends and Family group ;o)

Pros

The ability to export the time and attendance into Ascender. TCP makes it easy to export your time and attendance straight into your payroll system. All of your pay transactions and leave goes into Ascender in seconds....literally.

Cons

Not always being able to communicate in such a way that a desired outcome is met.....TCP KNOWS their product - but they don't know ours - so it is super important that we are able to understand each other when working on a problem.

Overall, TCP is a good solution, would probably still be with them if they had the capability of integrating with payroll platforms (like Quickbooks Desktop).

Pros

It was affordable and fairly easy to use for staff. Time off requests formatting is great and easy for all involved

Cons

Does not integrate with Quickbooks and was the primary reason for leaving. Also, seemed like some areas, including setup were not very intuitive and 'overdone.'

My overall experience with has been great! Along with the software being highly customizable, working with TCP Support and TCP Module Developers has been a very positive experience. TCP Developers worked with my company to integrate TCP with our company's Oracle system as well as create a custom module that allows us to perform 'tricky' timekeeping operations for our 365/24/7 employees. These customizations have saved our timekeepers hundreds of hours of time reconciling and re-keying time for our hourly employees. Because of this, TCP has provided great value for our money.

Pros

I am a Business Systems Analyst and the Administrator for our company's (TCP) system, and this software is extremely powerful. With it, I can customize clock in/out and other features by company, division, or even a single employee. As an Administrator of the system, what I like most about TCP is that it is highly customizable, so it can accommodate all of our employees' needs. As a User, clocking in/out and viewing hours and leave requests (we use the Leave Request Module) is extremely easy to do. Along with clocking in/out via an actual clock, users may use a computer or their mobile phone/ipad to perform their TCP tasks and view TCP information pertinent to them.

Cons

Because TCP is highly customizable, configuring features may be complicated and/or confusing. Many of the TCP features interact with each other, so knowing what changes need to be made or how those changes may affect associated features may be confusing to new administrators.

Pros

As an HR/Payroll admin for a performing arts center, I’ve found TCP Software to be an excellent solution for managing our timekeeping needs. Our organization includes a wide range of departments, from front-of-house staff and production crews to administrative teams—and TCP has been incredibly effective at accommodating that complexity. One of its strongest features is how customizable it is. We’re able to tailor pay structures, rules, and workflows to fit the specific needs of each department, whether that involves union requirements, variable schedules, or different pay rates. This flexibility has significantly reduced manual adjustments and improved overall accuracy in payroll.

Cons

One challenge worth noting is that some of TCP Software’s more advanced, customizable reports come with a noticeable learning curve. While the flexibility is a major advantage, it can take time to fully understand how to build and refine reports to get exactly the data you need. For new administrators especially, navigating the reporting tools may require some trial and error or additional training. That said, once you become familiar with the system, the depth and precision of the reporting capabilities become a valuable asset.

My overall experience with has been very positive. The system is easy to use, and we’ve consistently been able to get the support we need when questions or issues arise. The combination of user-friendly functionality and responsive customer service has made it a reliable solution for our team.

Pros

I’ve found to be very user-friendly on both the manager and employee sides, which makes day-to-day use simple and efficient. Clocking in and out is rather easy with minor interruptions. The chat support feature has also been a big plus. Each time I’ve used it, I’ve received helpful assistance. If the initial representative isn’t able to resolve my issue, they quickly escalate it to someone who can, and I still receive a timely response and a solution. We do not use the HR Management to be able to speak on that.

Cons

At this time, I don’t have any significant concerns. The system meets our needs well and keeps processes simple and efficient.

was able to accomplish the basics of what we needed for our team- essentially just clocking in and clocking out.

Pros

makes it super easy to clock in and clock out, track hours and review timesheets. It offers the basics.

Cons

There aren't a lot of customization features available to use on . We truly only used to clock in, clock out and review clock ins.

We love it. The simple interface for the office and the employees make it so easy to use and operate. It takes what used to be a whole days of chasing employees around for time cards down to a simple download from the website and upload to our payroll company.

Pros

The ease of use is the best part of ! I can teach my non techy employees how to use it in about 30 seconds. It has made our payroll processing a breeze.

Cons

The glitches some of our employees have encountered where the app wont let them clock in or out and it will freeze for several hours.

Great, I'm happy to use the the system and able to assist clients with ease. Once you get to know the system it's very user friendly.

Pros

The seamless integration with our Prism payroll system. It makes setting up new employees a breeze that the client and service providers appreciate.

Cons

Setting up User Roles which can be quite confusing. I also don't like that salary employees can't be blocked from syncing into TCP.

Has made payroll much easier and without a doubt much quicker. I love all the ways you can custom tailor reports.

Pros

Ease of clocking in and out. Ease of correcting hours when employees time needs to be adjusted due to working in the field.

Cons

No real dislikes other than the management side of it "times out" rather quickly. It's easy enough to get going again.

I've used TCP for quite a few years. I don't use all the features, just need it for employees to clock in and out, and to produce weekly reports for payroll. In all, I've been really happy with it.

Pros

Our employees love the new TCP app, and I like the Manager app. It saves a lot of time. I also like the reporting options.

Cons

Our employees didn't like using the website to clock in and out. It took too long and sometimes didn't work well. Not a problem since we now use the app.

Good product and will be even better once all the bugs are worked out. Cloud issues but the customer service is excellent.

Pros

I like that the product is very easy and quick to learn. Once someone becomes familiar with product its easy to maneuver.

Cons

Product has been kind of problematic since uploaded to the cloud. TCP has not been able to keep in line with our local ERP program regarding accruals.

Overall, a positive experience. Helpful people on the TCP end of things, and questions are answered quickly.

Pros

This did away with paper timesheets. It's much more exacting. Manager approval is much easier. Everything comes to me; I don't have to go hunting for paperwork.

Cons

As with anything new, it's time-consuming to learn it and then train others. Once we got everyone on board, no one complained.

Overall our experience was good. During implementation, we thought "go live" would mean we were off our old system entirely and only using TCP, but the implementation specialist looked at "go live" as when our employees started using the system. (But we were still also using the old system in case there was a problem)

Pros

We liked having an implementation specialist that worked with us at the beginning. We liked that TCP was able to accommodate all of the rules dictated by our labor unions. For the most part the system is very user friendly.

Cons

Because the system can do so much and there are so many settings, sometimes it is hard to find a section we're looking for if we want to adjust a setting.

I've been using it for the last 4 years to monitor our employees hours. Easy to change/modify for missed punches in/out. Would highly recommend!

Pros

Easy way for tracking employees who need to clock in and out. The reports allow for HR management to easily document changes that have been made to employee hours. No learning curve needed...easy to manage and learn on the fly.

Cons

Nothing...this seems like the easiest way to monitor users with not requiring excessive training to learn the ins and outs of the program.

Overall, I really enjoy . I keep track of all vacation hours here & I can upload and download hours and bring them into QuickBooks easily. That alone cuts my time for payroll in half.

Pros

I like how easy it is to get help when you need it. The techs are very knowledgeable and nice. I try to search the knowledge base first, but if I am unsure I get a ticket going and the techs are quick to help me solve the issue.

Cons

It can be a little overwhelming to get everything set up just right. Some settings are strange or not clear. It's a powerful software, but that comes with a learning curve.

Pros

I like the flexibility of the reports. The ability to filter by a variety of functions is helpful to me when I need to see only specific employees or job codes.

Cons

One of the reports I run is not currently able to be separated by employee. I believe the tech support folks are working on that!

It is super easy! It is so straight forward, there is really hardly any training, and quick to get used to!

Sometimes we have error codes that will populate. But I feel like that may be an issue on our end.

They are the best. Their software offers so many managerial tools for larger companies as well as smaller companies. So easy to use. As stated above support is amazing!

Pros

simplifies the processing of my four payrolls. Also their customer service is outstanding!

Cons

I have not found anything yet. I have been working with TCP for six + years. While some functions may not be as intuitive as I might like, support is just a phone call or email away. I always receive a prompt response.

I am thoroughly pleased with the assistance from all levels of the implementation team. Each representative has worked quickly and smoothly to assist our City in transitioning to the TCP product and software.

Pros

I like that the product is user-friendly. It's not so complicated that employees with limited digital literacy skills cannot use it comfortably.

Cons

Occasional glitches when clocking in/out via the web or mobile app can lead to inaccurate time tracking, requiring manual correction. The reporting tools, while robust, are not always easy to customize without technical support.
