IT Manager Hospital & Health Care Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Long time Time clock Plus user" March 26, 2019 5.0 Pros From an adminstrative standpoint we find The software flexible and easy to use, reports and data export to our payroll service works great. Managers can easily correct punch issues, etc. From a user perspective the software has been fine. Easy for our employees to clock in and out. The software and physical time clocks are straight forward. From an I.T. perspective the software is ready to setup and admin, especially for a local install type package. Setup the server, database, shares and then install at the workstations. Easy install, reboot usually not necessary. Cons Our only real complaint is an I.T. issue. Backups are a very manual process. Easy to do but no automation with fail/success reporting. It is using a MS SQL express db so we were able to add that to our existing backup system with little trouble. Review Source JZ Josh Z. November 21, 2019 1.0 \-Essentially this company lied about what I was purchasing and the time myself and my staff would need to spend on it. (was supposed to be a reintroduction of an old system that my staff knew how to use, but ended up being a brand new system that would require full implementation as well as retraining of my entire staff) -They were going to implement a system that we were unfamiliar with without any proper training or review of how they system works. -They never took the time to really understand our need of the system and how to make it work for us. -Made me purchase additional implementation hours in order to try to make it work. -When I realized their process (which was never disclosed) was going to take too much time and effort as well as money to train and retrain my whole staff, they refused to give me any kind of refund. Which I didn't even request a full refund, but basically wanted the money back for the services that were never rendered or the implementation hours that were purchased half of which were purchased due to them lying to me about how long the implementation would take. Pros I never got to the point of getting to use the software, so I don't have any input on the actual user experience. Cons As part of implementation, I do know that they are very inflexible in the complexity of allowing you to select multiple jobs for multiple departments. If you do not have a very simple Job costing flow then you are unable to have multiple jobs with the same name as part of your workflow and job selections. Reason for choosing TimeClock Plus I chose timeclock because we had it in the past and was told they could reintroduce the old system. This was a bold faced lie and was sold on false pretenses. November 10, 2020 5.0 It’s been a great product that has saved the company time and effort! Pros This was a huge upgrade from using timesheets made in Excel. It does what it needs to do, even if it has a couple of quirks at the moment. I think the function to view leave requests is great, though I would prefer it not auto pull them up once you attempt to clock in. Pros \- Easy to clock in and out. Most of the time. - Ability to see leave request approval/declines is pretty nice. - Sturdy piece of equipment. Cons \- Sometimes it lags when you're attempting to clock in for the day. - It has a few bug that should be worked out, such as attempting to punch in too fast after a previous person punches out. In addition, every time I have an issue I call and Time Clock takes care of my issue right away. Pros The most thing I like about this software is how much it offers. We use to use paper time sheets, therefore , being about to track real time is an update. In addition, I really like how we can set schedule to make sure employees aren't coming in early just to gain overtime. Cons Depending on how much your company does, it can be a pain to set up. For example, I realized after I already started you needed to do certain things first to make it easier on setting it up. Once I discovered this, I deleted everything I did to start over. It would have been nice to know where to start when setting everything up. It keeps up with accruals, vacation, sick, and can also be customized to keep track of specific tasks. We just needed something basic for the ins and outs and vacation/sick and this is perfect, but also gives us the ability to do more if needed. Paired this up with the biometric time clock and we were up and running in a very short amount of time. We are uploading the data into our ERP and it has saved our payroll department hours of time. Cons Nothing really off the top of my head. We are using an excel spreadsheet with a macro to import our data into our ERP, but it works. Review Source BL Brenda L. I am hard pressed to think of one thing that has worked as we were told it would. Pros Time tracking is good, but there are better out there. Mostly chose for scheduling system that was sold as being very specific to our industry. Cons Too many to list. It is not at all what we were "sold". Implementation is a incomplete nightmare. The implementation "specialists" dont even know how the software works. They are just "data inputter's" and they do very little of that even. We've had the system for well over a year and it is still not set up and has many "technical" issues. Reason for choosing TimeClock Plus Scheduling module seemed, and we were shown, it would fit our very spacific scheduling needs. Although it is "customizable" it is extremely hard to work with, way to complex to set up, not user friendly. Review Source BB BELINDA B. As an administrator/payroll, I like the ease of checking/managing time for employees and printing time-sheets at the end of the month for payroll purposes. Assistance with problems from has improved over the last year. Cons As an administrator/payroll, I have had difficulty in setting lunch breaks and assigning the options for new teachers to request a substitute. It is a simple way for us to request leave, enter time, and keep track of leave accrued. We went to TimeClock Plus from printed, handwritten spreadsheets. TCP has been a lifesaver! Pros makes it super simple for us to enter our time worked as well as keep track of leave earned. It is incredibly user-friendly and I love using it every day. We have been customers for approximately 8 years and have come to rely on its ease of use and always available use. Pros We like the easy of use in TimeClock. The HR department can find the information they need easily and our teachers are able to navigate around the parts they need without instructions or assistance. We recently moved to the cloud based option to ensure better protection from web threats. The process was easy and quick. Cons The only complaint I’ve heard is that the cursor doesn’t return to the is area when someone clicks in. This makes the next user have to place the cursor in the correct place. A simple tab will place it correctly and most users now automatically do that for the next user. Cons There aren't very many cons that I have with . The biggest one that I have is with the interface. It could use a little work. Also, I'm not sure if it is with my program in particular, but one personal dislike that I have is that it logs you out too soon. I could use a little more time with the site before it logs me out. My staff members can easily log their hours, request time off, and even track the type of leave they are requesting (i.e. personal, vacation, etc). Pros is beyond easy to use. The system automatically calculates your time, deducts lunch breaks, and even allows superiors and subordinates to communicate via time approval/denial messages. Cons Sometimes the time clock requests for sick, vacation, personal days, etc. are sent to the head administrator's spam folder, which can leave the employee wondering if their request was submitted correctly. Employees cannot clock in or out when off the company's network. This becomes a pain when staff members are traveling for work. But you get what you pay for. Which is low quality, barely working software. Cons But you pay for what you get. This last upgrade to V7 of their product was awful. The Single Sign On integration barely works. We found a blatant security hole in their software for that piece as well. A user could log in and once in, could back out and then login as ANY other user without their password. It took them almost a year to fix that issue before we could go live. Also, we had trouble getting single sign on to work in the first place. We actually had to call another one of their clients to help us as their own support staff couldn't get it to work. I would take your business elsewhere to a company that will give you the time of day. Especially for a $1200+ implementation fee Pros I strictly use it on a mobile app for my employees to clock in and out. I like it because I was told it could geo-map so employees can only use the app when in the building. They forgot the fine print: it is extremely unreliable with location recognition, the geomap is a circle so it has to include some of the outside of the building. Cons $1200 for an implementation fee that could have been a 5-minute video, my account "implementation specialist" did not set my accounts up per my parameters (something the $1200 fee is supposed to include). I was not properly explained how licensing was charged, invoiced, given no explanation of charges when you ask and the money was withdrawn from my account. When you call to voice a terrible experience you are pretty much told too bad and they do nothing to make it right for the client. May 7, 2018 4.0 I have used for years. Just recently we updated the software and they have made some great changes. It is easy to navigate through. I can call anytime with any questions and they help me. I love that it integrates with my payroll software. This was really one of the biggest requests that I had. It really streamlines the payroll process. Pros The system is easy to use and has some great easy ways to track employees. I can see at a glance if people are absent, late or missed a punch. It also integrates with my payroll software which really streamlines the process and removes the margin of data entry errors. Saves time and trees Cons Program does have a tendency to go down, intermittently (has happened a number of times this fiscal year), and at the beginning of implementation, it did not calculate accurate accruals. I love and recommend TCP to everyone that I can. My husband's employer used it for their payroll based on my recommendation and it was a construction company. Pros The ease of use for our employees, the integration into our financial software, the integration of our substitute system into and the setup of any employee and their job codes. Cons We do not track our absences in but we move them into TCP to be able to pay overtime, etc. correctly and I would like to be able to look at the errors without having to dig through all the absences that are showing up as errors. It has lead to us looking into possible new software providers. Very disappointing. Pros performs all the functions that we need. The employees find it easy to use. No complicated instructions or training is required. Cons Expensive to purchase or upgrade but not really far off the mark compared to other alternatives. Before Time Clock, I know there were employees not reporting absences and not fulfilling their contract hours. It is still a daily struggle to get them to comply, but now I have it on record and they can't get away with it anymore. Pros The software allows for more accountability on the employees end. Tracking hours worked is very important and going from paper to electronic time keeping leaves very little room for error. I couldn't be more pleased with the product. It's an alright system, I just don't think it's as user friendly as it could be. Pros I like that I can clock in on my phone and that there's usually an easy way to fix last punches if I forgot to do something. I also like that it keeps track of PTO and things like that for the whole year, which is handy when we need substitutes. Cons I dislike how difficult it is to initially set up on a phone. Whenever a teacher gets a new phone or something like that, I have to help them figure it out all over again. I also dislike that the offline feature has never seemed to work. The implementation team was great, and true experts. Seamless Integration with our ERP - Infinite Visions has been a big labor saver. The ease of the use of the product for end users is pretty good, with a modern, well designed UI. We opted for an entirely cloud-hosted option, which makes upkeep even easier. Pros Seamless Integration with our ERP - Infinite Visions. No need to do endless imports / exports of text files. Cons Single Sign-On is an added cost, and the company doesn't take it seriously. In 2019, everyone should allow "Sign On with Google" and all the other major services, standard, out of the box. Some aspects of the product can be more complex than appear necessary, but are often there for larger or more complex installs -- the downside? You're stuck with all those unnecessary complex options. URL for the hosted instance is dumb; unnecessary long, and the company is inflexible about addressing this issue - they think they know best, I disagree there.
