The geofence features are so easy to use, and provide me with great information. Cons Paid version is a bit more expensive than I would prefer, but it's definitely still a product worth having. Pros We are using the product mostly for mileage reimbursement purposes. The software accurately logs distance traveled and makes the reimbursement process seamless for our organization. Cons When we are using the automatic clock in/out feature, it likes to clock in on the weekends. This is probably something we are not doing correctly! Workyard ended up being more of an internal product rather than something we would use to contact and schedule our clients. Within ten minutes of me posting a question within chat ("Can I integrate my Google calendar?"), someone called and emailed me with an answer. Within 4 hours of signing up for my trial, I had a demo scheduled and completed. \[sensitive content hidden\] on my demo was GREAT. He was really helpful sharing what Workyard does well and also very honest about the fact that it wasn't going to fit my wants and needs. I \*WANTED\* this to be THE software because the team was so great, but at least now I know definitively. Pros SNAPPY customer service and savvy onboarding. Their small team really gets things done. I feel like I can always get ahold of someone to help me if I have a question and there are tons of help articles to guide me if needed. The functionality of the timeclock and GPS has been really fantastic and exactly what we needed. Pros Workyard is a great tool that helps me manage my employees who work outside the office. I can see where they went and how much time they spent there. It has been a real game changer for my company. Cons So far, there is nothing that I don't like about this software. I know there is a lot of additional functionality that we don't' necessarily use, but may come in handy int he future. SO many features needed for a construction company that they are in no way ready for. No one on WorkYard staff seems to understand prevailing wages and the need for documentation; too cumbersome for employees so compliance was low. Overall - it may be good for a small construction company that does only residential jobs and minimal job costing needs(?) Pros Able to see where employees are in real time as long as there is signal availability. Cons Only 3 pay categories allowed (we do prevailing wages and need much more than 3!); notes do not transfer to Quickbooks; time consuming to set up for multiple crews on multiple sites; employees complain of drain on phone batteries; tracks employees location even when clocked out which EEs felt was a violation of privacy; sells data to third party; if you buy for a year there are NO refunds - so make sure you really like it before this purchase or start with monthly billing; staff had difficult time changing cost codes mid project which is critical for assessing profitability of job; no ability for vacation/sick/holiday input by employees; the above weaknesses unfortunately made for double entry of information so it did not save time or money from the perspective of the administration. Name, start, lunch in/out finish in editable xls format. Easier to add columns to fit my needs. I spend a lot of time simplifying the report for payroll.
