This was important as this is my first time doing any compliance work. And my Customer Success Manager \[sensitive content hidden\] was very helpful. Pros I like the ease of use of Secureframe. It's been really helpful to have the responsiveness of the customer success manager \[sensitive content hidden\] , who's assisted me a lot. Cons Onboarding could be improved. I highly recommend it, although refining the process of handling difficult questions could enhance the experience. Pros I like how Secureframe makes it really easy for me and my colleagues to quickly learn about proper cybersecurity protocols. It ensures we get a good grasp of what's important to safeguard our company and, more importantly, our customers' data. I also appreciate how it provided appropriate education and quizzes, making the process smooth and approachable to get through, unlike the usual dreadful training software. The tools to educate our team on data compliance, like GDPR, and protecting our systems from cyber attacks are critical elements to ours and any business. Additionally, since we moved to Secureframe, our IT team has been very happy, with the process of training our more than 300 employees on such topics being relatively easy. Cons Some of the test questions were a little bit hard. I understand the need to push the envelope, and luckily going back wasn't overly painful. I suppose that's something that could be even smoother, so you get the knowledge, but don't take too much time repeating missed questions. Review Source Shaun K. Pros Going through a SOC 2 audit for the first time, I can't imagine not using a platform like Secureframe. Throughout the entire process from initial discussions to evidence review with our auditing team, Secureframe's customer support was quick to provide assistance. Their platform makes it incredibly easy to organize compliance evidence with a variety of integrations to our existing platforms. Secureframe's control monitoring dramatically simplifies maintaining compliance goals. Cons I have no real complaints about Secureframe for managing our SOC 2 compliance program. The support team was helpful when we wanted to find the optimal 3rd party vendors, such as auditors. When we've needed wanted to look at additional compliances to support sales opportunities, Secureframe has been very transparent and reasonable. Pros Secureframe made it easy to for our team to work together collaboratively to achieve our SOC2 Compliance. We've been able to manage policies, address risks, and get support through implementation and recertification. Cons We haven't hit any major roadblocks. Pros I really appreciate the automated tests that run daily and the system integrations. I like knowing that the system is constantly monitoring things, so I don't have to worry about it. The integrations save us from spending human hours digging into our code to ensure we're building our infrastructure securely and in a repeatable manner. The automated tests also give me confidence that we are adhering to our company policies and security best practices. Additionally, it was very easy to set up and configure Secureframe, with nice checklists and very helpful documentation available online whenever we had questions. It makes it easy for our HR and IT teams to know who has accomplished the required tasks on time, and can send out personalized reminders to those who have yet to do so. It also automatically pulls Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures data for our connected integrations, which helps our team prioritize security tasks. Pros Any time there is a task that needs to be done, an email is sent out by Secureframe with explicit instructions on how to accomplish it. Whether that be a new employee going through onboarding, annual SOC 2 compliance, or verifying that security policies are up to date, Secureframe ensures that the important tasks are completed in a timely manner. It would be chaos to try and manage all of this another way, and our team breathes easy knowing that we're covered by their software. Cons Our team receives security questionnaires at least weekly from our prospective customers, which can come in a variety of formats (Excel, Word, external site, etc). While there is a questionnaire library feature within Secureframe, it is currently limited to being able to read and fill out Excel spreadsheets. If this were the only way we received questionnaires, it would be perfect. Alas, that's not the world we live in. Thankfully, the Secureframe success/support team has been receptive to feedback around how this could be improved and have relayed those thoughts to their Product team. Review Source Joe R. We have received a high level of support. We have experienced people with very high level of training and understanding of security. It's been very helpful as we navigate a new process. Pros The platform and support have been excellent. It's easy to navigate and when we don't understand the process we have strong resources to help us make solid decisions. Cons The platform is great, but still a steep learning curve for non technical roles. The AI questionnaire tool is still in development, but that will be a strong feature once it's fully functioning. Our external auditor, who’s quite old-school, was initially skeptical of Secureframe, especially its ability to integrate with our systems and provide real-time compliance evidence. By the end of the audit, he said it was the best compliance tool he’d ever seen and planned to recommend it to his clients. If that wasn’t enough, their support team is fantastic. Our Customer Success Manager, \[sensitive content hidden\], is super responsive, often replying to emails within the hour. If he can’t address something immediately, he loops in his team, and they follow up just as quickly. We couldn’t be happier with Secureframe and are excited to expand its usage as our business scales and we explore support for more frameworks. Pros We used Secureframe to streamline our ISO 27001 compliance efforts. Before that, we worked with consulting companies that either had their own, not-so-great compliance tools or had us managing everything manually with Excel files and Dropbox—an incredibly tedious process. A colleague recommended Secureframe, and it’s been a complete game changer for us. The integration features are outstanding. We connected it to our Azure account (and other SaaS platforms we use), and it immediately identified configuration changes we needed to make. The system provided easy-to-follow instructions to help us harden our setup and ensure compliance with our policies. This automation not only made the process smoother, but it also simplified showing evidence of controls to auditors. Secureframe’s built-in content management system for policies is another great feature. It tracks version history and allows employees to log in and review policies based on their roles. This ensures everyone is reviewing the required policies annually for compliance. I also found the Vendor section extremely useful. It enables us to assess and rate the risks associated with our suppliers and keep track of their compliance documents. The integrated risk register is another standout feature. While I could go on about many more features, these are the ones that have been particularly impactful for us. Cons From an integration standpoint, all of our major cloud and SaaS suppliers are included, but I wish there were a few more options, or if some of the integrations were a little more robust.
