January 19, 2022 5.0 I have enjoyed my experience with Sage because it has made my work much easier with all the features that it offers. My month end close are smooth and quick. Pros The four step payroll process which increases my accuracy, Auto Adjustment which is also useful when you make an error on the payslip, the ability it has to produce various accounting reports. It also safeguards important documents and provides remote access. Pros I like the fact that the free trial is able to secure and make readily acccessbile via the cloud features. Sage Business Cloud Payroll was very easy for me to integrate and use. My company's payroll adminstration has improved by 15%. I was frustrated by the company’s lack of comprehensive services, relying instead on third-party partners that disrupted seamless payroll management. Key features like Direct Deposit failed to function, and my application remained unresolved for over a month. I expressed disbelief that in an era of major technological advancements—such as planned human missions to Mars—basic payroll processes could still be so inefficient and poorly handled. Pros I did not use their accounting. My comments is specific to their Sage Payrill and Basic HR. I did not see any value in uisng that except wasting 1 months of precious time trying to resolve very basic issues with their technical support. Cons No value or advantage of using such a middle-ware for Payroll. Not helpful customer service. Pros Sage payroll is an amazing tool to create and manage a companies payroll. It is easy to use and has a variety of reports which are helpful for reference. March 4, 2025 5.0 Honestly, Sage Payroll is the most user friendly payroll software if you are a union employer. I have tried other programs, but none support a union employer like Sage Payroll. Pros What I love about Sage Payroll is the easy of setup. We are a union company and Sage Payroll supports the processing of a union payroll. I highly recommend it for this reason alone. May 12, 2025 3.0 I must still run my own payroll reports for first month of take on ...not a clue how. The take on was stressful. First contact them for at least 2 days virtual training plus minus R5k and then start with a company for implementation /take over. Ensure they run all reports in order to compare. Pros It's easy to use and have several shortcuts to save time BUT you need training which don't get provided. ADDITIONAL COST Cons There is NO training and don't even get mentioned in their quotes The installation team guide you but Vs their speed and knowledge...and this is taking hrs of your installation quote. Only stresses me out more due to lack of knowledge. Cons More could be done to support customers when first signing up, as payroll can be a daunting process at first - that being said, there are articles online to help - although maybe more video content and less jargon would be best suited.
