Pros

Ease of texting to my customers, sending and receiving is fast and stable Easy template build outs for quick texting

Cons

They are for a lot of industries, but not specific to the home service industry. So that takes away some features that I need. But they are implementing new stuff monthly.

We used Zipwhip until it shut down, and I have to say that after over 30 demos from other companies we finally ended up trying Emitrr. I was mortified to switch from Zipwhip, it was so simple and easy to use. Most of the demos I tried for other companies were either way more complicated than we needed, wickedly overpriced for a small business, did not have a cell phone app extension (crucial for us), or their pricing schemes took a PhD to understand. What is nice about Emitrr is that you can start with just texting if that is your primary need, the other features are on the side panel and out of the way if you don't want to use them initially. The agents I spoke to were intelligent, knew their product, listened to what we needed, and were straightforward. I must have spoken to 30 salespeople of other companies and while many were acceptable, few were exceptional. The transition was fast fast fast and absolutely painless, others told me we would be down anywhere from 48 hours to a week! (most said 48 to 72 hours). We were not down a minute.

Pros

The transition to Emitrr from Zipwhip was so seamless that it was unbelievable, including our custom templates. They do all the prep work for the transition behind the scenes so there was--in our case--zero down time when we switched. I cannot stress this enough. The user interface is very similar. Customer service is exceptional, absolutely exceptional. There are customizable "folders" you can also assign conversations to, there is an "Open" and "Closed" designation so that messages can be moved over once you have replied so that you can easily see which ones are still pending, you can flag a message with an identifier that you can customize such as "New Client" or "Urgent", you can assign conversations if you have users, (or not!), and initially if you JUST WANT TEXTING they will do this for you. There are internal notes you can write within the conversation on the message board that the client never sees to help communication among staff, and it saves all conversations in the cloud so you can see what a person sent you last time, an automatic conversation history! This is a major advantage over Zipwhip. They also have signable forms, payment options, social media integration and you can also attach .pdf's (multiple pages to a text!!! The client gets them as a "scrollable" document on their phone!!!). You can also send long SMS texts if you need to without getting cut off, for us this is invaluable. Also there is a cell phone app if you need after-hours services!

Cons

Emitrr needs to work on a few things. If you print a conversation for a medical record for instance, it is not currently possible to select just the current conversation, it will pull up all of a client's previous interactions with you. There are work arounds if you are good with .pdf's but it is time consuming. Also when these are printed, currently the photos are not included. The button labeled "send" should say "compose or write", this has confused a few employees until you get used to it. Finally, it is quite a bit more expensive than what we had in the budget for texting but at least we are extremely pleased with the service and see how we can use it more fully in the future.

Reason for choosing Emitrr

Emitrr made it easy. While Pet Desk was our close second choice, they did not have a mobile phone app and since we do after hours messaging for emergencies as well as our employees carrying their own phones around our large building...this was crucial for us. We did not love the price or the overwhelming features of Text Request (they need to have a downscaled version), and we did not like their user interface. Podium is NOT priced for a small business. Simple Texting was a good option but their pricing scheme was a bit confusing. Vitus Vet did not have the features we needed and told us we would be down a long time during the transition. Google Texting was a consideration.

The VIOP does not have the greatest connectivity as I would like.

I have worked with lots of software, SaaS, and support teams over the years and I can honestly say that Emitrr has a top-level team in place. very responsive to our needs, which are probably somewhat unique in that we are a local government helping Children a nd families in our community. We serve an area of 1.4 million people, so texting is an important part of our outreach. I highly recommend Emitrr to any organization.

Pros

There are several things I like about Emitrr: 1) they have built a powerful, easy to use web interface. 2) The onboarding of our staff and contacts was excellent 3) Any issues we have had were addressed immediately and professionally by Emitrr staff 4) they are improving the product on an ongoing basis

Cons

Nothing bad to say about Emitrr. For a government agency of 45 staff and about 14 additional staff at our Family Resource Centers, texting thousands of people every month is a complicated process in itself. Emitrr has worked with us closely to iron out any issues we have had. Thank you!

Overall we have had a great experience so far. We are on this platform continuously for 10 hours each day, so the functionality and efficiency is really important for us to keep our business running smoothly. There was definitely a transitional learing curve, and a few bugs we are waiting to be worked out on the back end, but overall it is great! :)

Pros

Our favorite features are the ability to assign conversations and to close them. This keeps everything so organized with such a large amount of messages coming in all day.

Cons

There are some tweaks that we would like to see, just little bugs worked out here and there, but every time we mention something, it is quickly fixed or we are told that it is in the works of being fixed, so the developers are really on it to make sure that this product meets the needs of its users.

One of the things that sets Emitrr apart from other services we considered is the amazing customer service. When we had trouble setting up a text campaign, three of their employees helped us, and their whole team worked very hard and very quickly to solve the problem and implement the campaign. Every question I asked was answered. They really went out of their way to be helpful and kind. This was especially comforting to me as a new user without much technical knowledge. I felt/feel that they are always willing and ready to go out of their way to serve their customers. I highly recommend them.

Pros

The dashboard is simple and easy to use. The tools contained therein opened up a whole new world of communication to our medium-sized nonprofit organization. We just started using it, but were able to reach so many people directly, which we haven't been able to do before. We will also be using it for student communication, which we are very excited about. I also love how we are able to interact with our constituents much more easily.

Cons

I can't think of any at this time... so far it is very easy to use.

Pros

I like that it has helped get a lot of my client new reviews. Every client who has this software has gotten positive reviews.

Cons

I would like training clips for the software. I would like to be able to look at videos if I forget how a certain feature works or how to better explain it to my clients and team members.

Pros

\[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and the team have been super attentive and try to accommodate all of my company's needs. They keep improving the software and add features upon demand. The software on the computer has all the features and the mobile has slightly less, so definitely recommend using it on the computer as an admin, but has all the features needed on mobile if you are on the go.

Cons

The yeam keeps improving constantly so I am sire they will have all the features necessary.

We have been using them for over a year now and we love it! They listen to customer feedback and the platform is always evolving. In behavioral health having the capability to respond to patients in time is most important and Emitrr has really changed the patient experience for us. We've seen a huge uptick in conversion with their texting capabilities.

Pros

The responsiveness by the Emittr team. If it did not have the capabilities, their team built them immediately. They are the most responsive team I've ever worked with.

Cons

The thing I like the least is that we didn't find them sooner.

I became aware of a Emitrr through the staffing company that I’m involved with and I’ve just recently converted my electric bike shop to them as well. For nearly equal functionality, I’m saving more than $100 per month and the service has been extraordinary. Can reach someone nearly immediately, and would highly recommend to anybody else searching for this type of product.

Pros

It is a feature-filled product, comparable with everything else in the industry, but with a high level of service and customization at a great price.

Cons

Nothing to provide here. My experience has been stellar.

It was an easier transition than I thought it would be. There are a lot of bells and whistles that we don't use like scheduling calls. (I'm sure I'll be using that as our business expands.) Overall it is a good tool is very useful.

Pros

The ease of use so far, I'm still getting used to it.

Cons

The process for Mass texts is lengthy; it should be shortened. Having to enter contacts one at a time is time consuming. (I may be doing it wrong).

Positive! What a great, user-friendly design.

Pros

I love how simple the design is. Everything is very intuitive and easy to navigate. I appreciate that everyone in our office can see the messages that are sent, and that they can even be assigned to certain parties. We are able to work more quickly and efficiently due to this, if someone sees the text come in first, they can handle the response immediately.

Cons

The only complaint I have is that the yellow color does not contrast very much with the white, so sometimes it is a strain for my eyes to make out. It is a small problem though, as I do enjoy the bright color.
