Our On Boarding specialist, \[sensitive content hidden\] is exceptional! She has responded quickly and clearly to all of our many tickets. She has shown us how best to set up our system. \[sensitive content hidden\] has gone above and beyond, greatly exceeding our expectations about the support we would receive. \[sensitive content hidden\] is very personable, knowledgeable and a great asset to your organization. Cons Overall no complaints, except the bug in the late fee process. We are shutting off that feature until the bug is resolved and amounts due do not turn red until after the specified date. Reason for choosing HOA Start Functionality, ease of use. and integration with QuickBooks (not implemented yet). HOA Start does those things and so much more. It offers the features that are useful for HOAs: an easy-to-maintain and attractive, modern website, membership portal, online dues and payment features, event calendar, custom forms, ticketing system and more. The best part is everything is designed just for HOAs so no customization is needed. Cons Although our Onboarding Specialist was extremely helpful and responsive, the onboarding process itself was a little overwhelming and cumbersome, at least at the beginning. All onboarding steps are generic and are conducted only by email and felt impersonal. It would go a long way to offer a 30 minute phone call with the specialist at the beginning to narrow some things down and to facilitate answers to the many questions that I had. As a new HOA, we didn't have any books to try to transfer over, but also didn't have any registry of households, addresses, or members. So, there was a bit of start-up work to be done on our end, but having importable spreadsheets made things easy. Cons While we were hoping for a little less in cost, I do believe that it is worth the money if you want to remain self-managed. Every screen in HOA Start has this option, which is huge. Pros I really liked the step by step process that they implemented for on-boarding. The support behind the implementation was huge (\[sensitive content hidden\]) and very reactive to my "stupid" questions. Lots of documentation and videos to prepare for the next step in implementation. Cons As we sent "live" we discovered a software glitch that create some stress during the registration. Thankfully, \[sensitive content hidden\] stayed late that day to help resolved the issue. I really appreciate her support through the process of setting up our site on HOA Start. I also like that the HOA Start site hosting allows us to have so many features on our website. It's like everything is all in one place. That is exactly what we were looking for in the creation of our HOA site. Cons Some of the features on the site set up have been a little confusing, and the site navigation sometimes felt a little unnecessarily complicated.
