Having used other providers in the past I can honestly say ISOVA have been the best. An excellent IMS backed up by a team who actually care and have our best interests at the heart of what they do. Highly recommended. Pros Very personable knowledgeable consultants who took the time to understand the business and worked with us to ensure the IMS was suitable for our needs. Intuitive system which made navigation fairly simple. The compliance and risk element was far more detailed than expected which is always a positive. Throughout the entire process we worked collaboratively with ISOVA. Fantastic service. Cons The only negative I feel was the transparency of costs. We were initially under the impression that the system was ours as we were told "its your system". However it later transpired that it was a subscription service for the SharePoint system. This is due to the lack of reading the small print, but i do feel a little more transparency around this issue should be highlighted. Pros The AvISO Toolbox was extremely helpful in supporting us through achieving ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification, and subsequently through our surveillance audit. It saved us a significant amount of upfront work by providing a clear structure for the documentation and processes we needed to put in place. It also gives us a practical way to track and maintain ongoing compliance rather than treating ISO as a once-a-year exercise. As a Microsoft-focused business, the use of SharePoint also worked particularly well for us and fitted naturally with the tools our team already uses. The AvISO team have also been very helpful and responsive whenever we’ve needed additional support or guidance. Cons There is a fair amount of content and functionality to get familiar with initially, particularly if you are new to ISO management systems. Being kept informed of updates and changes, particularly to the ISO standards. Knowing you are helping us stay on track takes some pressure away from us. Your independent site visits provide a fresh perspective and help identify issues we may have missed. Cons The risks and opportunities register includes too much that does not apply to us, so it takes a long time to review. It needs to focus more on our business. The tech support is great and you are not just given a nebulous Call ID, when you contact them. Pros When using the software, the ability to filter your searches easily is really useful. I can get to the file I want really quickly. I also like the ability to edit files in multiple ways. So sometimes I will only need a few lines changing which is really useful. Although its outstanding feature is that it keeps external auditors happy and they have never asked us any questions about its usage. I think that it makes them at ease. Cons I suppose the functionality with using the files in Windows Explorer does not always update the synching quickly enough, but that is probably due to my aged laptop and a Windows issue rather than the software. The costs are very reasonable, the consultants are excellent....knowledgeable, approachable, helpful and very responsive. I cannot praise Zee enough and Ed was also excellent prior to her. Pros I am a very busy Operations Manager and am responsible for Health and Safety, Production, Logistics, Quality and Compliance. The support from Aviso helping to maintain our QMS is invaluable to me. The structure of the QMS toolbox and the knowledge and help from Zee takes so much workload and pressure away from me. Cons The QMS/IMS takes a while to navigate but once it has been used for a while it is extremely well put together and provides all of the necessary components to maintain a well organised and functional QMS. Very positive overall experience, but always room for improvement ;) Pros IMS Toolbox is brilliant, easy to use, has interactive areas, editable features, and the availability to create different views on same registers. The system itself is very clear and stores all data your system needs to collect for an ISO certification. The support from the team in charge is very helpful, and one of the most important areas that helps us more is the Legal register and their constant review and additions to it of new requirements. Cons Dashboards views on the home section could be more customisable, for us to be able to create, filter, or move around how we prefer to show. The accessibility to the toolbox could be easier, in terms of 'editable access' from client side (us) could have the ability to add other 'viewer access' from our organisation, without having to contact ISOvA for those. Consultant Human Resources Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Excellent tool to support achieving ISO27001 certification" April 19, 2021 5.0 The ISOvA IMS was used to underpin the ISO27001 certification objective of a circa 100 person software development scale-up with offices in UK, USA and Australia. Prior to the adoption of ISOvA IMS the information security was at a low level of maturity with policies & procedures in existence but not sufficiently coherent, maintainable or accessible to qualify as a robust management system. The ISOvA IMS product brought a structured, discipled and comprehensive approach in allowing the organisation to achieve ISO27001 certification in around 5 months. The ability to access it remotely allowing all offices to contribute and support the first and second stage audits together with the responsiveness and knowledge of the AvISO team were two hugely beneficial features. Pros Good features as regards the product were: 1. It's an online product and so could be accessed and worked on remotely by both our auditor and staff from global offices. 2. It was easy to reference between the ISO27001 sections and the headings within ISOvA IMS. 3. The different folders were linked so changes in one area rippled through to other associated areas 4. It has clearly been built up through lessons from many audits and showcases this knowledge in an easily digestible manner. Our Auditor was very comfortable with it. 5. Easily adaptable to integrate requirements of other information security requirements e.g. we requested SOC2 and ISO27701 to be added to ensure minimal duplication of effort for these certifications 6. The generic templated for policies & procedures provided were readily configurable to reflect actual practice. 7. it was Teams based so any queries about features, implementation, usage etc could be easily resolved via chat and/or video call. 8. Its features can be mixed & matched with existing organisational platforms e.g. policies & procedures can be stored on company intranet rather than within the ISOvA IMS. Cons 1\. It is a very comprehensive tool and so it's worth spending some time to ensure it presents information to a depth and extent which is appropriate to the maturity of your organisation before it's rolled out. But with the product being so configurable and the product support team being so responsive this is easily achievable. Reason for choosing ISOvA IMS Existing staff were on a learning curve as regards ISO27001 and so did not have the subject matter knowledge to a sufficient depth initially to self-create the documentation. We initially started using it for our ISO27001, we found the system easy to use and as such used it when we came to integrate ISO27001/9001/45001. This has been a relatively easy process and has made the upkeep our various ISOs manageable. Pros It's been very easy to use and covers all the requirements of our IMS, including the legal register, risk register, interested parties list, roles and responsibilities, etc. These are very easy to understand and update. It has been very helpful in integrating our various ISOs and keeping them up to date at all times. Cons It would be helpful to have a better integration with our internal systems. At the moment our IMS sits externally from our organisation's systems and documents. The back office team has been excellent where we may have had queries or questions. I would in particular like to highlight the superb support that we receive from our dedicated consultant Eithne Gallagher, who has been amazing in her assistance and professional guidance over the years, almost like one of our own team! Pros We had previously tried to manage our ISO's using a manual system. This was a very time consuming process, hard to accurately keep up to date, and difficult to manage tasks and recommended / required actions. Once we started using the ISOvA IMS this was hugely beneficial. It streamlined the entire process, made is simple to view, manage, and share tasks with individuals within the business. Many individual owners can update independently to provide a comprehensive up to date record of actions and updates covering all the individual business functions and their respective task's. This allows us to ensure we are managing our systems correctly and go to external audits confident in the knowledge that this will be in line with the auditors requirements. Cons I can genuinely say that I have not seen any negative aspects of the system. It does exactly what we require. Previously, keeping on top of documentation, compliance requirements, risks and audit preparation could be quite time-consuming. Having a single, structured platform makes everything much more manageable and helps ensure we remain organised throughout the year rather than having to pull everything together when an audit approaches. It has made a real difference to how efficiently we manage our ISO obligations, and I would happily recommend ISOva to any organisation looking to simplify its compliance and management systems. Pros ISOva has made managing our ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certifications significantly easier. Cons Sometimes the pre-populated information in different registers was sufficient to pass an ISO audit, but too vague to be useful in day to day use. Pros Really easy to use with a logical layout that has all your required ISO information at your fingertips. Clear headline titles with the dropdown taking you to where you need to be. The whole system has hugely streamlined our whole ISMS (for the better!!) which is a win, win. Pros ISOvA has significantly advanced our ISMS, it is extremely effective and user friendly. Each module is easily accessible, with our document management super easy to navigate which definitely helps when you have more than one user accessing the system at the same time (this includes external auditors!). Cons It has been over 1.5 years now since we have been using the system and I can honestly say there isn't anything we dislike.
