August 17, 2021 5.0 I have been looking for a way to automate document generation with complaints e-signature with full audit trail and finding a service that is affordable and easy to use has been a challenge. I finally found Docdown and it is exactly what I was looking for. You can create custom workflows for fully automated document generation and distribution. You can trigger workflows from webhooks, API, Zapier, Integrately... you name it!. The founder Paras is just amazing and truly listens to his users. The service is constantly improving and for me that is very important. 100% recommended, just check it out.... you won't regret it! Pros It has a powerful custom workflow that lets you connect with almost any third-party application. You want to send the PDF generated somewhere else? Surely, you will have an option to accomplish that! Cons Nothing to dislike! I've asked for word document support, and I've got it... I've asked for an Integrately integration, and I've got it! Director of Installation Construction Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Quick and easy documentation workflows for business " June 17, 2021 5.0 Having ready-made document templates for my clients and collaborators to fill and sign given specific business processes (quotes, contracts, NDAs, vacation and leaves, etc..). I'm in the lowest tier, which is perfect for small and medium size companies, I doubt I'll need to exceed the 1000 doc/month in at least a couple of years, and then I can just upgrade. Pros The e-sing process has all it needs: signing order, adding additional fields if the documents requires it (not just signature), create workflows, send reminders, etc... Cons It would be great to have workflow templates; In my case, I just recreated what I had used in other software for digital signatures, but DocDown has a lot more capabilities so that a template would help those of us with low creative abilities Switched from [Signaturely](https://www.capterra.com/p/210998/Signaturely/) The API calls from signaturely were very limited under the plan I had, so I started looking for other options. The openness to provide integrations along with API access and webooks sealed the deal. As mentioned, other SaaS I looked into didn't provide the level of integrations without an extra cost. Pick up DocDown now and automate your document signing workflow while It's still affordable. Pros I was able to populate a PDF with text and signature within a few minutes. I was pleasantly surprised how fast it took. I even had enough time to test out some other use cases outside my initial task. PROS: - Ease of Use - Integrations (Love Rest API and Webhooks) - Ability to create multiple workflows and automate the document signing process Cons The workflow setup required a little more attention and not as intuitive. As I didn't have time to "figure it out" or "read the help articles" I just abandoned it for the moment as it wasn't necessary for my initial use case. It did the job but that SaaS didn't address my use case to also work as a PDF filler for online course completion certificates. Cons It's still at an early stage and so it's not yet fully GDPR compliant. IT Renewables & Environment Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "I use it in more than one business." August 21, 2021 5.0 We use Docdown in our trucking/dispatch workflow. It is an integral part of the workflow. I have only had one issue to date, in just over 6 months, and it was taken care of within 24 hours. I couldn't have asked for more than that. They are very responsive and that is critical for what I do. Pros The integrations were critical to our work flow and Docdown nailed it here. Replacing a prior product with Docdown went so smooth, much smoother than the original product we were using. The software is so easy to use, the learning curve is minimal and that is very important to our organization. The price was a no brainer. I was paying far more for another product prior to switching to Docdown. The customer support is excellent. In a world where customer support has gone by the wayside, this company responds very quickly and actually addresses your issue. They listen to their users which is important to me when I am looking for software. It's important that they are working with their users and bringing their A game to meet as many user requests as possible and this company does that. Cons I truthfully don't have any cons. Any features that I wanted to see have either already been done or are on the roadmap to be done. Reason for choosing Docdown I chose Docdown because the price was the best I had seen. I tried it out on a trial basis and quickly replaced the prior software within a months time. The performance was faster than the prior product. We use to have to wait up to 10 -15 minutes for a document to move through the process and appear in Trello. Now, it's normally under a minute. Huge difference. Time is everything in a fast-paced business and Docdown brought their A-game and it's worth every single penny. Review Source Tim P. Now the process is quicker and our accuracy is improved. Pros Once you get your head around how to use it, it is actually very straightforward and reliable and I whole-heartedly recommend. We're using it for our simple contracts going forward, and it's awesome working with some of our partners' PDF contracts which have always been a complete pain before as they used to have to be filled in, signed, scanned etc. No longer! The automation features are great - we've used with both Zapier (native) and Pabbly Connect (webhooks) and settled on the latter for a full automation of filing to GDrive and emailing / notifcations in Slack etc. Cons Takes a few minutes to get used to, and there are some additional features that would be nice. This web-based software is the perfect solution for anyone looking to streamline their PDF workflows and create dynamic, massive, field-based documents with the click of a button. I highly recommend DocDown.io for anyone looking to save time and make their workflows more efficient. Pros I am busy, and I need to keep my business operations as simple as possible. I need to be able to generate contracts, leases, invoices and other important legal documents quickly and I need to do it without hiring an expensive lawyer or assistant. Docdown.io has been a life saver, the online tool is super easy to use, I can quickly generate massively any document I need using just a simple PDF template. It is exactly Mail Merge for PDF, just more effective and simple, with a great visual user interface. Cons The limit of document generation should be reviewed. Also, I think there should be some guidance (despite the app is easy to use, I still feel I have not used up all features because there is no guidance). Pros It really helped our business processes in automating the filling of forms that had been manual and had many problems. I am very impressed with the way this product works, the desired form template can be designed via pdf as needed. No coding skills needed to make daily work easier. Cons In the automation of business processes, it may be possible to add an internal team interface feature for coordination that requires filling out forms in different fields immediately instead of having to go to personal email like how project management works. I plan to connect Docdown with my CRM and automate client contracts and invoices. Pros I needed an e-signature tool to sign documents online. Docdown not only has this feature but can create document templates and automate document creation through webhooks. It was easy to add a routine document flow. Believe it or not, I was doing this by hand for each client. Pros what really makes this program outstanding is just how much flexibility you have. I love the way I can connect it to Zapier, The forms have conditional logic as well. If you take a look at their roadmap you can see that they have big plans for the future of DocDown.
