It helps streamline the testing process and significantly reduces the need for manual checks. Pros I’ve been using BugBug.io for the past 7 months, and it has been easy to set up and use. It helps us catch bugs through scheduled test runs, and it is simple to update tests whenever our product changes. The ability to create test suites has made it much easier to organize tests by area and run different parts of our software simultaneously using parallel runs. Overall, BugBug.io has been a reliable and user-friendly tool for automated testing. Cons The chrome extension sometimes requires to be refreshed. The recorder sometimes crashes. Some recorded steps occasionally need manual adjustment to work reliably across different test runs. Test execution can sometimes be slower when running larger suites or more complex scenarios. It has made automated website testing more accessible and has helped us establish reliable, recurring test coverage for critical workflows. Pros BugBug.io has helped us streamline our testing process and build confidence that our website is working as expected for customers. Cons As a newer tool, there are still some features that we have wanted which have not yet been available. Though, the response has been that the functionality is on the roadmap and will be released soon, and this has been the case and these features are now available. It helped me reduce repetitive manual testing efforts and focus on areas that require actual QA analysis and attention. The simplicity of the tool makes automation easier and has improved the overall efficiency of my testing process. Pros BugBug makes test automation much easier for non-coding testers. I like how simple and straightforward the process is — it helps automate repetitive testing tasks without the usual coding challenges. Cons For simple automation, BugBug is excellent. The only limitation is that advanced scenarios with complex conditions or highly customized flows may need more flexibility. Adding more advanced controls and reporting would make it even better. There is no need to install a development environment with tons of dependencies, only one browser extension and you're ready to go. Bugbug free tiers is good enough for simple test cases, if you don't need to integrate with your CI/CD, if you don't need schedule, notifications, use custom javascript assert. It let you create and run unlimited tests on your own PC. We use it for our web UIs and mainly use it as a non-regression tests. In the CI/CD, the bugbug tests is ran right after a new deployment to verify that nothing has been broken. Another usage is to monitor the production. A schedule has been created to run a tests that includes a login to the website + verification of some pages every 5 minutes. If something's wrong, bugbug immediately send us a alert including a screenshot of the website. It saves our developers a lot of times when deploying a new version, they don't need to deal anymore with the E2E testing code but can easily fix the tests directly on bugbug instead. Thanks to the well designed no code / low code UI that bugbug offers. Also, the documentation is quite good and the support team always answered in less than a day. Pros It is incredibly easy to set up and use, and once set up anyone can make a new test quite easily and intuitively. Along with this, google login was necessary functionality for us, which Bugbug does allow for. Cons Unfortunately there is currently no visual regression testing, which would be a nice to have.
