Initial interactions with this system were supported through word of mouth, but the majority of my knowledge has been obtained thereafter through curiosity. This product management systems gives a rich environment that provides a clean and logical means of navigation. Knowing just a few tricks, any entry level person can manage the depth of which this system allows you to go. Your success with this program is only limited by your involvement with it. There are many things that I know it can do but aren't actively required in my day to day. It seamlessly integrates with SAP, which also provides streamlined data exchange between both systems. I would say the biggest quarrel for me at this point is the Active Workspace, which is Siemens web based Teamcenter. This option deviates from the apps structure. By doing so it doesn't provide a smooth transition between the app and web option. Searching functions a bit differently, the user interface is muddied and convoluted making navigating a bit more nuanced, constrained and cumbersome. Working in a large business with an insurmountable number of datasets to sift through and provide record of, having a system that is logically structured with tools to navigate them like Teamcenter is game changing and effective for efficient performance. Pros 1\. Flexibility/Personalization 2. GUI is clean and organized 3. Internal "Help" options are useful and give good insight into general item/tag definitions 4. Search functions provide intuitive and advanced options for locating what you need. 5. Workflow Process is efficient and provides seamless approval structure. 6. SAP Integration Cons 1\. Teamcenter Active Workspace (Web). The overall structure and user interface feels messy and requires a bit more nuance to know how to navigate than its app counterpart. 2. Teamcenter App does require some research to generate basics Knowledge of tools and processes it's not always blatantly noticeable to new users. Cons I use teamcenter mostly with CATIA, a software not optimize to work with Teamcenter, so it's easier to use with NX but it's working well anyway. Son interface est assez intuitive et puissante dans la gestion de document, permettant un gagne temps précieux en entreprise. Cons La perte de connexion aux serveur et son intégrtion avec certains logiciels de CAO sont les principaux défault. De plus, l'utilisation plus poussée du logiciel oblige à suivre des formations précises dans son domaine d'utilisation. Pros The best thing about Teamcenter is that it t allows a good integration with CAD software like Creo, which helps a lot in checking in the drawings, 3D model and BOM. Cons Because of having a lot and wide variety of complex features, it has a complex interface and it becomes difficult for a new user to learn it. So, having a proper training material from Siemens will help a lot. Also, sometimes using it for large assemblies may have a lot of lag issues.
