It also allows us to mark up drawings and share our comments digitally. I'm interested to see how it works when we get into punch list, where you can tag items directly on the drawings and share it with the appropriate parties. Cons If you don't set up the project correctly and import drawings properly you can't use PlanGrid to its full potential. Many of our drawings aren't being uploaded with proper tags which makes it really hard to sort and locate the drawings you're looking for. Also, you have to force people to use the software for a while until they understand the capability. Review Source BW Bart W. Thank you for such a good program. Pros its a good software. always updates on time and on schedule. we use it for punch list. great program. Cons no cons. We have issues but not with the program. autodesk is always good at releasing super good stuff. Review Source aC ashraf C. construction manager Construction Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "BIM 360 Taking the site digital" February 10, 2017 4.0 Being a construction manager requires a lot of time on site resolving issues and managing site operations and this is where I fee the BIM 360 application comes into its own. The benefits of having drawings to hand is second to none as I have found this on site a number of times as well as having the ability to record daily activities on "the fly". Also benefits such as uploading any specific project info and global distribution is good . I would recommend as site to use such a system but it does require office based administration which I given in most similar application on the market Review Source MW Michael W. Pros It took little training to use the program. It was easy to navigate though the different parts of the program. Email alerts was a good thing. Cons It took for ever to sync. I could not photo stream my pictures. Trying to search for issues was very. A mobile app would have been nice. In the issues you need to be able to write email address for the notification. Revit cloud worksharing is useful for all team members. Cons Is not functional within itself and does not keep organized for beginner users. Document management is not easy for most team members. Pros Each product does at least one thing very well and is fully connected on the web. 360 Glue for example, enables BIM managers to spend more time evaluating clashes and less time compiling individual model files together. Project Administrator Construction Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "I have had a very positive experience with BIM360" August 8, 2017 4.0 Pros The reports I was able to print off of BIM360 were most helpful to me. As an admin on a construction project, there are many items I need pulled from the field that are not so easy to chase down. The functions of this software made it much easier to communicate with the field and get all of the appropriate information in a fast and easy way. With the many report options and ability to tweak reports to exactly what I need, BIM360 is a helpful tool to me and my team. Cons There are many options in the software which can be confusing to some. We ran into a lot of issues at first with trying to get everyone in the office and in the field trained to use it. We tried to reach out to BIM360 for training, but there wasn't much they could give to us without an additional fee. It seems like a software that should be set up between the team and the engineers behind the software, as there are a lot of options we had to/still need to figure out how to use. Being able to pull up any and all issues any time I want makes things so much easier than writing them down on paper. Designer Construction Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "An integral software resource for our team" October 22, 2018 5.0 Pros BIM 360 Team allows us to share files via Autodesk 360 with external project team members, which allows for simultaneous viewing/mark up/editing of pdf and drawing files. This saves us time when it comes to coordinating tasks amongst disciplines, or identifying areas of concern from contractors. Cons I have no issues with this software. September 22, 2015 4.5 Pros They are focused on providing a simple and intuitive experience while incorporating the necessary features to make your job easier. In an industry that is so behind on technology, adoption by project team members and subcontractors can be quite difficult, ultimately rendering tools nearly useless from lack of adoption. Plangrid's approach makes it very easy for everyone on the project to adopt the tool and utilize it effectively, making the entire project run smoother. Cons It is difficult to say what I like the least, because they have been excellent at making improvements in their product and service model. Field could use some updating" February 10, 2017 5.0 I really like glue and plan. Glue couldn't really be much better. It integrates with Navisworks for the more advanced user, it is easy to use on the iPad for viewers and commenters, and is quick to pick up and learn. Simple, yet powerful. Plan is the same way. Very powerful visual tool and easy to use metrics and customizable. Field on the other hand is bulky, not all that easy to navigate, and takes a long time to sync. I think part of my issue with it is that our project isn't set up in a manner that would optimize field, but I had a very difficult time picking up the app and using it without some training. Providing access to the system by the client and contractor provides an audit trail of contractors downloading documents and a log of when documents have been uploaded. Pros I have used BIM 360 docs a lot . It is easy to use ans helps manage docs easily. Also allows you to create and maintain checklists. Cons I don't see any of those yet. Can process more fast. I love that you have all the jobsite documents in your hand. Also, document control is vital in my line of work. Inputting issue, photos, and inspections on a daily basis is required and very easy with BIM360 Pros Easy of use Cons Sometimes it takes forever to update.
