### "PlanGrid Review- "

November 13, 2018

5.0

Overall the software is an amazing tool for Construction projects. The ability to manage one project in one space is unmatched.

Pros

The best things about the software are: 1) The ability to have unlimited sheets 2) The easy upload of new sheets and the accessibility of Revs 1/ 2/ 3, etc. with a simple swipe 3) Support team always fast and helpful 4) The ability to create issues and tag multiple linked accounts to the same issue 5) The ability to create reports from RFIs, Issues, logo upload etc. to PDF, Excel documents and how immersive the reports are, from the organization of the issues and photos (very professional) 6) The ability to upload documents and attach them where needed for example RFI's 7) All the editing tools for Mark-ups within sheets. 8) How easy to publish and unpublish content as Admin

Cons

The least favorite things about the software are: 1) All though the cross platform from Web/Mac/ Windows/ Mobile options are great, the experience of cross platforms are not consistent throughout. Some features are available on some platforms and not in others 2) Constant out of sync updating on Mobile/ Desktop versions 3) Different software bugs across platforms (but its understandable)

### "Best site software I've used in 30 years"

March 8, 2019

5.0

Great product which just keeps getting better I would recommend the product and support to anyone. It will improve workflow and efficiency on any multi-disciplinary project. As a freelance consultant the first thing I recommend on any new project is PlanGrid.

Pros

It covers pretty much all aspects of what you want to use reports, data and drawings on site. It's also been extremely useful in the design process as well as helping close out on snagging issues.

Cons

It's not a document management system in it's trueset form though the document handling is very useful especially through the RFI process. I think the access approval system could still do with a tweak but we have found a workaround for AFC production drawings. Also if you are looking for mass rollout then the price can be on the high side. I honestly think a reduction in price would see a massive uptake in licences. I'd love every supervisor on my site to have a licence but the cost is just too much. We've purchased ten licences where I'd really would have purchased 40-50.

### "Plangrid for the foreman"

November 7, 2018

5.0

PlanGrid is now used at all our projects; it does make sure all information is to our foreman in a timely fashion not 2-3 day later or stuck in their inbox.

Pros

It is very user friendly; the ease of using the pages are just like reading the prints only faster. You can navigate to get to a certain detail in half the time if you were thumbing through the drawings. It also great for documentation of issues that are affecting your production. We can set up the task list and quality control the floor and have it to the GC by the end of the day.

Cons

It would be great if you could send more than one field report at a time from the App.

### "Brilliant but Tempermental"

May 3, 2018

4.0

ALL construction parties have access under our Subscription. Allows all parties to review Construction issues and BIM's without purchasing expensive Navisworks seats.

Pros

The interoperability between various other Autodesk Softwares with two way communication from Design to Coordination to Field implementation and back around the bend to the authoring design software. Limitless customization.

Cons

It is VERY unforgiving when you make a mistake or need to change how something is categorized. The features that are most prone to this or require a "ground up" revamp to change are not clearly listed anywhere.

### "A Great Tool that saves me tremendous time......"

November 7, 2018

5.0

When we start a construction project now we invite the entire team. Designers, Owners, subcontractors, and vendors to our project folder. Now we can rest easy knowing that everyone is using the most current documents as the project is constructed. Our superintendents keep their daily reports on PlanGrid. Our safety inspections and meetings are kept on PlanGrid. Submittals, RFIs, project photos, drawings, and finally our Punchlist. It save a ton of time and money having this as a single source to keep all this project information in one place.

Pros

PlanGrid allows me to keep all my construction contract documents all in one place. In the past various versions of drawings, specs, submittals, RFI's, etc would be stored in various places and you could never be sure if you were in fact looking at the latest versions. PlanGrid takes that problem away and when collaborating with your team you can be sure that everyone is operating from the same sheet of music.

Cons

There are a few minor quirks that I have asked PlanGrid's support folks to look into correcting. Over the past few years I have shared many items with them that I would like to see changed or updated. They have most definitely listened and the product continuously gets better. Thanks PlanGrid!

### "BIM 360 Works well and continues to improve."

January 31, 2017

5.0

I have been using the BIM 360 software on my large construction site (1+ B) for the last 9 months. We use it for our own punchlist tracking as well as tracking completion lists and punch lists created for us by others. We chose it over other options due to the ability to import out of other software programs directly into BIM 360 to add their reports into 1 location and then distribute to subcontractors and internally from there to fix deficiencies. It does the tracking, importing, markups of pictures and document viewing well and it suites our needs. My biggest concern with the software is the interface needs improvement to be closer to a cell phone / icon based when using iPads in the field. The interface is not bad, but when working with skilled tradesmen who don't often utilize technology I find some of the software is confusing to some of them. A more icon-driven interface I believe would help that problem and allow some of these users to get more out of the software, and not be quite so intimidated. One of our biggest hurdles was simply getting them to use it as they were afraid they would "mess up the job". Once they understood where to go and how to use it they quickly became comfortable but I can understand that maybe not every company would spend the time. We ended up getting a class going for these users and writing a visual guide for the users to follow along with. After a few days, the guides were no longer needed.

Pros

Able to easily punch list and review all areas of our job site. Tracking and time stamping is fantastic for documenting the job site conditions and tracking days to close.

Cons

Software interface could use some work so that less tech savvy people can pick up the software faster and cut down on training time.

### "BIM 360 Collaboration"

January 4, 2019

5.0

BIM 360 benefits me because i am working on a massive project. It allows all parties to collaborate well and access any needed models. Things we struggle with are utilizing the models through the BIM 360 Desktop app. Persons who do not have a "BIM" computer have issues with flying through the model. It will freeze/crash after a while.

Pros

Its easy access for everybody who will be working on a huge project. Good way to collaborate.

Cons

The software doesnt allow great support for non BIM people. This software is cloud based and if your internet can support the quality of the model your type computer should not matter.

### "Overall a good experience"

May 3, 2018

4.0

Being able to open up the model information to the field, owner, subs, design team and management teams.

Pros

Ability for all of the team to have access to the model information in the field. The ease at navigating the model for all users. Love being able to put together separate merge models for specific field use purposes.

Cons

Issue with model files being deleted and having the clash detection information disappears. When the model file is re-uploaded the clash detection need to be re-run, re-grouped and reviewed for if it is a old or new clash

### "Bring all your plans with you"

February 15, 2019

5.0

The biggest overall wow-ness factor is the reduction of printing costs associated with projects that are always being updated.

Pros

This software allows all my superintendents to have the same plans with them in the field on their iPad as I see on AUTOCAD in the office. It allows them to markup plans where needed for review, or to ask specific questions. You can overlay a prior version of the plan with a newer version to see the changes easily. The plan sets are compact in size and the update process very easy. The reduction in paper work and printing of plans has been a huge savings.

Cons

I wish there was an update "all" button to ease the going thru all the projects and requesting individual updates.

They have elaborated on PlanGrid to incorporate quite a few other tasks, instead of just drawing management.

Pros

Ease of setting up projects, uploading submittals, RFIs. Field use as well as office use

Cons

Keep changing (improving) software, so sometimes hard to keep up with the improvements and how to manage.

Autodesk construction cloud, the takeoff tool, is helping my and my client to improve accuracy and spend less time making takeoffs and estimates

Cons

Maybe I need more information in how to edit my classification systems in the step of package

### "Good Stuff"

April 10, 2017

4.0

Pros: Easy to use for those that don't use BIM Software everyday. Cross Platform Use Easy for upload/download across many machines/users (Vs regular cloud) Can use many filetypes. Same data is there across all platforms. Cons: UI for those of us that use Navis on the regular. Won't let you glue out of AutoCAD always. Causes crashes. Must have the AutoCAD file closed if you are trying to glue off the desktop app. Navigation on iPads is a bit hard to learn at first for field staff. iPad model updates are spotty. I field many phone calls from field staff in regards to models not being available. Overall Great Product though! Has greatly improved our workflow over the past 2/3 years.

Pros

Cross Platform Use, Easy to use for non computer users. Same data across platforms. We use as a cloud storage for files across offices and detailers.

Cons

UI for those of us that use Navis on the regular. Won't let you glue out of AutoCAD always. Causes crashes. Must have the AutoCAD file closed if you are trying to glue off the desktop app. Navigation on iPads is a bit hard to learn at first for field staff. iPad model updates are spotty. ### "We use this software to document field conditions using checklists and to monitor issues. "

August 8, 2017

1.0

Everyone can see it from anywhere. Issues can be closed from anywhere.

Pros

I like that you can take a picture with the iPad and it tracks through everything. The issues are closed across the board as they are closed in the field and it can allow great communication between the contractors and engineers

Cons

The software is clunky at best. Rediculously slow and unworkable at worst. The program is incredibly complicated and Autodesk offered little assistance unless we were willing to pay exorbitant amounts of money. That is not a viable business model, having followers with no idea how to use the program puts it at a disadvantage compared to CxAlloy which I find to be much more user friendly. There are too many options to wrap your head around, then frustrating nuances that nearly ruin the program (why can't you unselect a choice in a checklist?). B3F is rediculously powerful, but if no one knows how to properly use it we end up spending more time figuring it out and struggling to extract useful information than any amount of time saved. Countless hours have been spent trying to glean useful information from the checklists and there is no pretty way to export them from it. The lack of useful exporting is the final nail in the coffin

### "PlanGrid"

We are managing work and utilizing clear, effective communication in the field all because of plangrid

Pros

This software is an absolute lifesaver when it comes to field management and quality control. We use this daily as it is the most precise tool I've found for documenting work in place. The communication tools within are top notch as well.

Cons

Some improvements that could be made: Auto assign who the task is assigned to per stamp Auto assign due dates coordinated with walk date Aside from that there is a lot of raw data that can be collected with this tool which is very useful for understanding trends in work among different trades

For a designer or a builder is like a never getting old toy.

Pros

When I had to tenderized before BIM, it was a whole journey, design on Cad, transfer and convert to sketchup, rhino and Revit, with BIM just attach your planes, and you're good to go and take to virtual reality, what you are imagine as it is.

Cons

It will keep improving, don't change the platform with each software update.

### "A reliable project management software for anyone"

February 23, 2023

Some years back I was in need of a product that comprises of project management, construction management and cloud storage. After surfing the internet I came across Autodesk construction cloud and decided to give it a try and it has been a great experience. There are some certain features I have tried out yet and I hope to do so in the future

Pros

The design layout of the software looks great and it's cloud storage feature which allows users to upload and share construction plans, projects, documents and others is one reason I use the software

Cons

With my one year plus experience I really don't have any complaints about the software. I am totally satisfied with the results I get from it

### "BIM is a brilliant resource for managing and monitoring all Safety, Quality and Defects Aspects. "

August 17, 2017

3.0

It allows me to be more active on the construction site to monitor and manage safety of all workers, while completing administration tasks effectively. It allows me to track the service records of plant on site and materials safety data sheets. It helps me to report information and access historical data quickly.

Pros

It allows management to be more active on site while achieving the administration tasks. It efficiently monitors the service verification of plant & equipment on site. Issues can be raised immediately with photographs & maps to clearly outline the problems for assigned SC's. The real time data allows to track progress and achieve targets.

Cons

There is limited storage space & battery life on the ipads. It takes a long time for the sync process to complete. Some information may not sync correctly during transistion from internal wifi hotspot to external mobile phone hotspot. If there barcodes on plant / defect areas are damaged the scanner will not detect the barcode to obtain the information. User error can lead to blurred images or incorrectly use of the different tasks / checklist / equipment. If you create a checklist first without being linked to a specific task or item equipment, this checklist cannot be later linked to that correct task or equipment.
