### "Very useful even at free level."

May 29, 2024

Very good. No buggy crashes. Clean interface. Easy to use.

Pros

Just like Slack, so transition for users is easy. Full featured even at the free level. Making us fans for when we upgrade.

Cons

Lacking integration with google drive and microsoft onedrive

Price and commitment. Pumble is just as good as Slack but doiesn't make it finiacially difficult to use as our team grows and works towards a profit. Then we can upgrade and share the profit with Pumble.

### "Reliable chat"

September 9, 2025

5.0

Pumble does the core job very well: quick team chat without bloat. Our onboarding was smooth, and day-to-day messaging is snappy. It’s perfect for small to mid-size teams that mostly need channels, DMs, and simple file sharing. If your workflow depends on deep integrations, advanced compliance, or heavy video meetings, you may feel its limits but for focused, reliable collaboration, it’s a win.

Pros

Customer Support: Quick, friendly replies; clear help docs. Learning Curve: Super easy—new hires onboard in minutes. Security: Solid basics (roles, 2FA, permissions) for SMB needs. Bugs & Issues: Rare; fixes roll out fast when they pop up. File Sharing: Drag-and-drop is smooth; previews fine for common formats. Remote Work: Stable across mixed networks; presence/status helps coordination. Meetings: Built-in calls are perfect for quick huddles and ad-hoc syncs

Cons

Fewer native integrations than bigger competitors Video/voice meetings feel basic compared to Zoom/Teams File previews can be slow with large files Admin controls are good but not very granular Occasional sync hiccups on mobile when switching networks

Switched from

[Microsoft Teams](https://www.capterra.com/p/168668/Microsoft-Teams/)

We wanted a lighter, chat-first tool that our team could learn fast and run on any device without lag. Pumble gave us: Faster performance and lower CPU/RAM than Teams Simpler, cleaner channels/threads (less meeting-first noise) Easier onboarding for contractors (no M365 tenant hassles) More consistent notifications for day-to-day chat Straightforward file sharing without SharePoint/OneDrive hoops Lower cost since we weren’t using most of the Microsoft stack Less admin overhead (fewer policies and permission layers)

### "Pumble Review as a new user"

September 5, 2025

3.0

So far for my first few days with Pumble, it's satisfactory. I do wish it to be more like Discord (possibly even the members tab to be on the right). Nothing really stands out to make it unique, but it feels functional.

Pros

It's similar to Discord and Slack, and it doesn't appear to have the 90-day message history expiry date. It's pretty easy to learn because it's similar, and it holds similar login methods to the previously mentioned apps.

Cons

I don't appreciate getting emails about new users joining, as well as how there was no underline to turn them off in the messages from Pumble (it felt as if it was not clickable). I also don't appreciate the many tabs above the channels; I feel as if it clutters the UI. There doesn't appear to be any voice call channels (at least in my server).

Hello there, Thanks for the review! 1. You can turn off emails that we send about unread messages after you haven't used the app for 24 hours. There is an unsubscribe button on that email 2. You can turn off messages we send to existing members once someone joins the workspace. We have that under workspace settings. Haven't looked at it recently, and I'm currently on my phone (afk) but we have something there for sure, at least for owners/admins. Feel free to reach out to support@pumble.com in case any additional assistance is required!

### "Great alternative to Slack"

August 27, 2025

5.0

I’ve been telling other business owners about Pumble because I know a lot of them don’t even use the extra tools that come with Slack. They just need a simple way to chat with their team—and that’s exactly what Pumble does. It’s easy to use, does the job well, and doesn’t take a lot of time to learn. It’s great for busy owners and teams who don’t want to mess with all the extras.

Pros

Pumble is a great tool with a lot of good things going for it. It costs way less than Slack but still works almost the same. Sure, it doesn’t connect with as many apps as Slack does, but for the price, it’s still a win. It’s super easy to use—no big learning curve. Everything in the app is clear and simple. I haven’t had any issues or bugs so far, and I really like using it on my phone. Their customer service is quick and helpful too. I even asked them for a new feature, and they actually added it! That’s wild. Now you can pin messages in channels, which helps a lot. Plus, you can make calls and have meetings right in the app. 10/10

Cons

The only downside I’ve found with Pumble is that it doesn’t really connect with other tools easily. So if I wanted it to send me automatic alerts (like when something changes in another app), it wouldn’t be simple to set up. It might be possible, but it seems too complicated to figure out—and I don’t have time or energy for that. Still, if all you need is a clean and simple way to chat with your team, Pumble works great.

### "Finally an affordable way of coming together"

August 27, 2025

5.0

We use Pumble as the central hub between head office and our nationwide network of independent travel advisors. Working in team/project channels enables asynchronous collaboration, faster decisions, and less noise. Urgent cases get the right attention within minutes. Adoption was frictionless, performance is consistent, and support is quick and helpful. We’d love stronger org defaults and templates, but the core experience is excellent and getting better.

Pros

It’s very easy to set up a clear channel structure and onboard new colleagues/franchisees in one go. @Mentions and threads keep conversations tidy, file sharing is smooth, and both desktop and mobile apps are fast and stable. Onboarding took hours instead of days, and adoption was high because it’s so intuitive.

Cons

I’m missing some org-wide admin controls. For example, I’d like to enforce a company theme/brand styling for everyone and pre-set a default channel structure for new users (instead of each person creating their own). Overall, Pumble still feels young and lacks a few quality-of-life conveniences—nothing major, and most seem fixable with future updates.

### "Good, but can use a little polish"

September 2, 2025

4.0

Overall pretty good experience with some minor hiccups. Most problems were able to be solved with workarounds but alternatively, there should be some minor tweaks to the platform to solve them.

Pros

The searching ability of the platform is fantastic and by far the best feature. The ability to schedule/remind about messages, custom notification settings, making user groups, threading, and other customization options are all welcomed. Support has been very prompt with responses and helpful forwarding issues/ feature requests.

Cons

The mobile app is pretty terrible in comparison to the web platform. Calls are my biggest complaint as they just haven't worked properly even once despite multiple tickets to support. I always have to call twice or receive a call twice before it will actually connect. Otherwise, it will show the other party as muted for whoever is making the call and connecting for whoever is receiving it. As far as the other dislikes: not being able to specifically mute a user in chats, lack of custom sorting options for chats beyond just recent/alphabetical, not being able to sort differently from the web/phone version, not having single sign on as default instead of having codes sent to emails and putting it behind a higher price tier.

### "A genuine gem for all your internal (and external) communication needs"

August 26, 2025

4.0

Pumble has been a godsend so far. After just a few weeks, it has made our internal communication easier and so much more convenient. I do not see us going back to email, WhatsApp, and similar solutions. Thanks, Pumble!

Pros

I have only used Pumble for a short period, but so far, the value of the free version that I am currently using far exceeds my initial expectations. I was looking for an affordable alternative to Slack that would provide longer message history on the free version. Pumble has been an awesome discovery. The platform is easy and intuitive to use both as an administrator and as a regular user. The security seems to be top-notch. I have not needed personal customer support so far because the information on their website has covered all of my needs. The paid subscriptions also seem very reasonably priced, so I would highly recommend Pumble as an excellent alternative to Slack.

Cons

My wish list contains the ability to include more features, such as a whiteboard or canvas for making notes. I miss the possibility of organizing channels, or at least ordering channels manually instead of having to rename them to have them show in a specific order. But I am just using the free version, so I know I cannot expect a bunch of features unless I pay.

Reason for choosing Pumble

Both Discord and Discourse seemed slightly too complex and complicated for our use. Slack did not offer a good enough free option. Google chat seemed to lock users into their universe. Pumble made everything ten times easier and smoother.

### "The Pros and Cons of pumble "

September 8, 2025

5.0

This platform allows us to stay connected anywhere we are we have some employees who work remotely in different countries, and they are able to stay up to date with us.

Pros

The ability to make video/audio calls. The ability to have multiple group chats. The team overall likes us interface. Easy to navigate. Customer support has always been s eager to help with any problems. When we had the issue getting the log in codes support was on it and fixed our problem asap.

Cons

One of the issues we have with this platform in drivers are not able to share more than 10 photos at a time. Sometimes they need to send 100+ at a time. It would be huge help if they could share more than 10 at a time.

### "Pumble for the win "

August 25, 2025

5.0

10/10 would recommend to any team starting out. It's so much more cost effective than similar alternatives. As long as that remains true I'll keep recommending it.

Pros

I love the ease of access, and how user friendly that it is. We had very little issues integrating our entire team over very quickly.

Cons

I wish you could customize your quick access emojis. Otherwise, honestly there isn't much about Pumble that I don't love.

### "College Team use of Pumble"

August 25, 2025

5.0

So far has been bug free and overall very good. no issues or confusion so far. Never had a reason to contact customer service either.

Pros

multiple channels to differentiate topics, scheduled messages to send, simple and easy user interface to navigate, learning curve is very low. The addition of custom emojis is very nice.

Cons

I wish group chats could be expanded to include other people who were not originally in said group chat without having to create an entirely different group chat. Also, allow for replying to specific thread messages that were already sent in a thread.

### "Pumble as affordable slack "

May 24, 2024

3.0

It's cheaper slack and sometimes it's kinda buggy, but overall it is becomes better and better.

Pros

It provides some of the most important features from slack. Channels with real time chat, calls, file sharing, mentions etc. and it has good security standards

Cons

Some things do not work as expected. It's getting better over time. When we first started, mobile notifications had common delay. Now it's seems to be fine, but calls on the other hand are not. It is difficult to establish connection (3-5 times) and sometimes it is just easier to switch to meet. There is no a lot of integrations and this is something that we would rly like (example YouTrack, Circle Ci, Figma etc). Also one of the biggest problems is that slack has integrations between servers and this can become for some to much to handle as we cooperate with couple different teams that are using slack. If there would be possibility to connect with people from slack via pumble then I would change my recommendation for pumble to 9

Reason for choosing Pumble

We decided to go with pumble cos of security-encryption and price.

### "The Best Communication Tool"

August 26, 2025

5.0

Pumble allows us to exchange information very easily without distractions. The first thing we discovered was Slack. But the free version of Slack only stores old messages for 90 days. But in Pumble, we can access old messages at any time, which is a great advantage.

Pros

Simply the best communication app. We are a small team. All of us are freelancers. We initially used WhatsApp to quickly share information and changes happening in the industry. But since we all use WhatsApp on our mobile phones, if we take out our mobile phones, we would waste a lot of time looking at other applications on our phones. As a solution to that, we thought we should find a standalone professional communication app. That's how we came to Pumble and continued to do so.

Cons

Pumble is a great application overall, but the issues we face the most are notifications not coming at times, and also call notifications not being notified when making a call. To fix this, we sometimes have to uninstall and reinstall the Pumble Desktop application.

Pros

I liked the fact that you can use both direct and group messaging, voice and video calls, screen sharing, all in one platform. I like it's integrated with Clockify. I think threaded conversations are great to keep information organised.

Cons

### "Pumble an ally at work"

May 24, 2024

5.0

My work is purely remote, and this application allows me to have constant and fluid communication with different members of the team who are in different parts of the world. I have been able to count on direct, fast and barrier-free communication with my colleagues given that the versatility of the program helps to generate a friendly environment for the company, and this helps to streamline work processes.

Pros

It is an agile and reliable program, which has different tools to achieve unity and teamwork, allowing the goals proposed by the company to be achieved.

Cons

Perhaps its design can be a little more friendly and intuitive, but it is not a problem that generates major inconveniences, it is more due to personal preferences.
