February 9, 2022 5.0 Pros This software was the critical tool that allowed me to make check payments when geographically separated from the company's bookkeeper. This tool provided all the necessary resources to effectively manage this part of the business. Cons There were several occasions when the software would not allow me to delete items in the feed. FM Construction Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "CheckRun is a good product and fits our needs" November 12, 2024 4.0 Overall positive. It properly fits the exact need I had, at a fair price. I have not seen much development in the platform recently (but I dont know about behind the scenes). I think they will see more challengers from Troy Flex and others; however, I think that their audit trail and notification features remain stronger (from my brief test of others) Pros Checkrun (forgive me if I use checkruns) fills a big need for us in the area of printing checks from multiple accounts on quickbooks on blank paperstock, with secure layouts. Especially important is the authorization workflows allowing remote signature for printing in office. Signatories spend a lot of time on jobsites or exploring acquisitions, so getting checks signed would either be a schedule item for them at times. When it came to "need a check now" items, it is no longer the issue it was. Cons Their ACH feature still leaves much to be desired. Still on the 3-5 business day, which is always 5 business days. Their Print&Mail also comes from CA, so being an east coast company, printing and mailing ourselves is better. The notification emails to customers are too heavily branded with CheckRun branding with none of our company branding. This has caused multiple subcontractors to ignore. Also just not the image I like for communication from our company. Lack of customization. Pros It is the only cost-effective program that can print checks in QuickBooks and keep accurate records. Cons All products need additional features but some hopefully are coming soon. November 11, 2024 5.0 CheckRun is the perfect solution for our small non-profit because most of us work remotely most of the time. CheckRun provides a process in which we can have our \[sensitive content hidden\] approve the checks remotely, and then we can print out the check with her pre-printed signature n the them. Otherwise, we would have to print the checks, and then leave them on her desk until she comes into the office to sign them. It's just what we needed. Pros Checkrun solves the challenge of connecting my accounts payable team with our approvers and check signers, wherever they are. We all work remotely and Checkrun has a mobile app so we can approve and sign payments right from the app. The signature shows up on the check and the app keeps track of all workflow steps so we never miss a payment. They also have a print and mail service or you can print checks out yourself. It is a nice app that works for us. Cons They don't have ACH right now but I was told they are adding it soon. Like I've said it is very user friendly and I would most definetly reccomend especially for a small business. Pros What I like most about this software is that it is very user friendly. I also enjoy that if or when I run into any minor issues customer support gets back to me asap. I would definitely reccomend. Cons If there is a minor mistake of not being able to print the checks you cannot go back in and reprint if you have selected " yes all checks printed correctly" I get that may be due to preventing fraud however it's slightly inconvient. Instead of printing all the checks beforehand, we can use the print and mail feature as needed. Pros Check signer can approve checks remotely, no need to come into the office just to sign checks. Able to use existing printed check stock. The customer service was awesome when setting up our account. Cons It will be great when ACH payments are set up. I wish there was an easier way to get rid of a payment in the Checkrun queue. The preview checks window will open, but not the printable ones. It happens every once in a while and it is frustrating. The system never lets me login on the first try. It consistently tell me my password is incorrect, I hit login again and it logs me in. Not a deal breaker, but annoying.
